Germany - DVL 1. Bundesliga 2012/13

  • Bundesliga starts this weekend, where I can watch Dresdner's game on Saturday ?

There is no broadcast of that match...

Only one match a week will be broadcasted live...

this weekend it is tomorrow's match Schwerin - Suhl

    :drink: --> 17.11.12, 19.00 VT Aurubis Hamburg - Dresdner SC < ---- :drink:

  • IMO this injury of Stoltenborg change completely the goal of Hamburg because his substitute its much more weaker. Bad luck !

Les pieds dans le fumier, mais toujours le verbe haut et la tête droite ! Cocorico !

It's difficult for me to judge without having watched them, but Mareike Hindriksen is not that bad, in 2010/11 she played a really good season in Suhl...but of course I hope Stoltenborg will be back as soon as possible :S

Stuttgart had a combined training session with the football team from VfB Stuttgart last week, after a warm-up/stabilisation period they played a mixed tournament, a nice video of it here

Münster's players Tess von Piekartz, Lonneke Sloetjes and Sarah Petrausch were involved in car accidents (the Dutch players together in one, Petrausch in another), but luckily, nobody got hurt. On the other hand, Ashley Benson has a leg muscle injury and it's not sure yet if she can play on Saturday, and also Andrea Berg has some pain on her achilles tendon, so Münster is running out of MBs before the first match.

    Full schedule for the weekend:
    Friday:
    19:00 Schwerin - Suhl, live on dvl-live.tv

    Saturday:
    14:00 VCO Berlin - Stuttgart
    17:30 Dresden - Potsdam
    19:00 Aachen - Hamburg
    19:00 Köpenick - Münster
    19:00 Wiesbaden - Vilsbiburg

Stuttgart and Dresden should win their matches, but in the other matches, the "underdogs" certainly have good chances to surprise the big teams...

  • 1st set 25-16 :win:

Schwerin has a huge block :white:

  • 3rd set 28-26 Schwerin

    Schwerin - Suhl 3-0

  • What to say about the match: it was a real '1st match of the season-match' . A lot of service-, reception- and unforced errors.

Schwerin has a very small roster at the moment..Only 3 substitutes (setter, MB, OH).

Suhl is a total different team related to last season. They have less money to spend this season; their best players left the team.

It was Frank Winkler, former NT player and one of the stars of German volleyball in the late 80s/early 90s. He also comments volleyball matches on Eurosport etc, many people complain about him but I think he does a really good job.

    Stats of the match: http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2012/Women/&2132.pdf
MVP: Denise Hanke / Claudia Steger
Short report of the match: http://www.dvl-live.tv/frauen/…schweriner-sc-vs-vfb-suhl
Full transmission will be on the website too later.

I could watch only 1st set, but Schwerin looked very very solid there, the new players certainly were good choices. Suhl was without their Opp Kristen Dozier, she was not with the team at all, any info why ( SatanClaus)?

I agree with you about Winkler. Most channels don't have good volleyball-commentators, so it was a positive surprise for me to hear his comments!

About Schwerin: Teun Buijs said in an NDR-interview he wasn't satisfied with Schwerin's MBs last season and in his opinion the new ones are good transfers for Schwerin.

Both MBs played a decent game today; they have already a good connection with Hanke. Hopefully Brandt will improve a lot at her new position..she was the disappointment in Schweriner-team for me today; she is of course a huge blocker, but she is very slow.

Suhl needs time to improve with their new, young, roster. Koslowski said Dozier has an abdominal-injury.

  • On lshunter and Stopstream, today's match Dresden-Potsdam (17.30 CET) is in the schedule for live streaming :what: I can't find any hint anywhere that this match will actually be broadcasted, so I guess it's a mistake, and either way I won't be home to check it, but maybe someone wants to give it a try...

Next saturday, DVL-live.tv will broadcast Stuttgart-Wiesbaden

  • Maybe they just had a 30 minute "window" :) LOL... This match would not really be too exciting

I will check it this afternoon though.

MVP: Micheli Tomazela / Cristina Alves

So Aachen really achieved the surprise against Hamburg  Vilsbiburg was leading 2:0 and had a good lead in 3rd set, they had 2 match points in 4th set but Wiesbaden pushed them to the very edge, just to lose anyway in the end :S

  • Thanks for the infos Matthias, as always! ^^ :flower:

I dont know why but bundesliga site is not opening here to me! :/ but when I click at the stats links you putted here, it opens...weird!!!hehehehe So thank u again for the infos! :)

  • Stats look very different...
Interesting that Lea Hildbrand got a point on block, a serve and 2 attacks without playing ^^

Yeah, very good 3:0 for USC :-)
