Germany - DVL 1. Bundesliga 2012/13

  • About Lippmann: this is mentioned in an article in the current Volleyball Magazin about the growing percentage of foreign players and the lack of playing time for young German players, in this context Guidetti is quoted saying that in Germany, nobody jumps as high as Louisa Lippmann, but still she is not a member of Münster's 1st team (at least she was not at the time when that article was written).

    Ok, thanks for information.

I think Louisa is a bad example for this. Last season in second league she often made many errors. This season she is much more constant in attack, so now it is the right time to let her train with first team and still give match practise in second team.
Bundesliga got much better during last seasons. Hana Cutura and Lonneke Sloetjes are "not so easy to overtake" ;-)
But she can learn much from both. Louisa will make her way, I'm sure!

  • Stuttgart has officially protested against the result of yesterday's match because of a scorer mistake in 1st set (he gave one point too much for Münster at 20:15 or so...), but there is little chance for success...

    Köpenick vs Vilsbiburg and Dresden:

  • Thanks  Glad to see that the Dynamics are still alive and active :)

I still have some videos from the games against Potsdam, Dresden and Wiesbaden on my hard drive. But right now I would need days that last at least 28 hours each to find enough time for encoding and uploading it.

  • There will be some interesting matches this weekend in the league:
2nd ranked Dresden meets 1st ranked Wiesbaden (live on dvl-live.tv), 4th Vilsbiburg meets 5th Münster (possibly live on vib24.tv?), 7th Stuttgart meets 8th Hamburg and 9th Potsdam meets 10th Aachen. So there could be a lot of movement in the ranking after tomorrow's matches...other matches are Suhl vs Köpenick, Suhl has improved in the last weeks and Köpenick is not as good as in the beginning of the season. Finally there is Schwerin vs VCO Berlin (also live on dvl-live.tv), probably a chance to see more of Schwerin's bench players :D

  • I read on DVL website that Vilsbiburg will be without Liana Mesa and Christina Alves Ferreria. This means they will be without their starting opposite and starting middle. I think it will be very difficult for them to beat Munster without 2 starters. They have been fine without Liana for the past two weeks but the loss of another starter could prove difficult against a solid Munster team.

Sonja Newcombe has been able to carry them without Liana but maybe its too much to ask if more are injured?

Mesa still suffers from an upper thigh muscle injury and Cris Alves has a foot injury, but other than that everyone is healthy. Young MB Celin Stöhr who started several matches instead of Alves has been doing a good job too, replacing Mesa is somewhat harder....but apart from them everyone should be healthy.

    :S :S

So many injuries in Bundesliga this season :S

  • What is Stuttgart coach saying after the second minute?

Радо Стойчев каза: Мизия, Тракия, Македония! Западните покрайнини - завинаги български!

  • What is Stuttgart coach saying after the second minute?

He says that his team had big problems in reception and in attack they spiked straight into the block without thinking too often and they were always under pressure. They won important matches abroad, but not yet at home and they will have to investigate the reasons for that.

  • ...and Dresden's curse continues: Frieda Thieme suffered a knee injury in training 3 weeks ago (on the same knee that was injured already before the season), first she thought it was not so serious and continued playing but now a medical exam showed that she has a torn meniscus and needs surgery, the recovery time is still unknown :S Also Martina Utla has knee problems, so Dresden's only healthy OHs at the moment are Schwabe (19 years) and Izquierdo (18 years)...

Good news from Potsdam: Kathy Radzuweit's ankle injury was not serious and probably she can play tomorrow.

Bad news from Hamburg: Femke Stoltenborg still cannot practice because of her injury (her finger was broken 3 times and fixed with screws), probably she can't play at all before January and then will need some more time to get back in shape, and right now the team has adapted to Hindriksen as setter, so even when Stoltenborg has fully recovered it's not sure that she will be 1st setter.

  • And on we go:

Köpenick's setter Alicja Leszczynska has to stop playing for the rest of the season. It's a bit mysterious, she missed the last 2 or 3 matches because of illness, and today the club released a news that the season is over for her, they are very sorry about this development and wish her all the best for the future and thank her for all she has done for the team, but there is no concrete reason mentioned :S However it sounds serious, she was in her 2nd season in Köpenick and as far as I know she felt very well there, so it must really be a health reason :(

Maybe the Polish users get to hear more soon, please keep us informed...
