Germany - DVL 1. Bundesliga 2013/14

  • Junior NT setter Irina Kemmsies renewed her contract with USC Münster for 2 years.

According to volleyball.de, Dresden is interested in Laura Weihenmaier and Martina Utla. However they already have Bartsch, Izquierdo, Schwabe, Marcelle, Mikhailenko and Lippmann under contract as OH/OPP, so I can't imagine them signing two more such strong OHs because none of those players should be on bench in German league...

Probably Waibl has become even more 'verrückt' after winning the title

Btw, it is very silent in Aachen...

Weihenmaier and Stoltenborg will leave...so there is need for good players. And of course a few new bench-players :win:

  • Dutch OH Kim Renkema after 2 (or 3?) years in Italy returns to Allianz MTV Stuttgart. The club also announced Mareike Hindriksen as setter and confirmed the transfer of Renata Sandor in addition to the previously announced transfers of Malevic, Meyers and Tomazela. From last season, only 2 players (Jovy-Heusser and Wlk) stay in the team.
That means Svenja Engelhardt will probably return to study in the USA...

So, Renkema is back on her usual level :win:

  • I wonder why Mudritskaya was not there. She had shoulder problems lately but yesterday was written that she would play and now she wasn't even in the roster. But yes, what a difference! Both teams showed completely the opposite of what they did on Saturday! Aachen with very few errors and smart play, Schwerin completely lost and without brains. Vilponen must be the worst player of the whole league and Schwerin signed her for 2 years :aww:

A little bit of objectivity will do Mathias a lot of good. If what he wrote about vilponen is correct then Wiesbaden coach must be blind to have signed Vilponen for the next season.

We will be wiser in March. ^^
