  • Penn State is already 6-0 with a win over Stanford this past weekend and looking like the team to beat, but they still have Big Ten play to come.
Florida has only played 4 matches (most have 6 by now) and won then all, including wins over Oregon and Texas.
Texas beat Nebraska, so they only have 1 loss in their 5 matches.
Nebraska also beat Oregon and also only have 1 loss so far.
Oregon is at 5-2, but is starting the three weeks of the season on the road before returning home.
USC have got out to a great start with wins over North Carolina, BYU and Kentucky
Stanford had beaten Minnesota and Illinois before playing Penn State.
North Carolina has probably had the worst start 1-4 with loses to USC, BYU, Minnesota and Wisconsin. They can't wait for the conference schedule to start.
Florida State has also started slow with a 3-3 record, two losses to Ohio State and one to Colorado.
Colorado State lost to Arizona State.
Kentucky swept their home tournament, but lost to Creighton and USC this past weekend.

  • Is there one Channel which shows matches?

    or

    What Channels show matches?

There are soo many channels to chose from. It depends on the conference.

ESPN has ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU and the SEC (Southeastern Conference) Network
ESPN will have matches with Big Ten, Big XII, SEC, ACC and Pac-12 conferences.
Additionally it has ESPN3 which provides video feeds from smaller conferences.

CBS owns College Sports Live, which also broadcasts volleyball online.

The Pac-12 and Big Ten own their own TV networks (other smaller conferences do as well, but may not be picked up on cable or satellite systems)

  • After today, there will be two weeks left in the season before the Road to the Final Four starts the first week of December.

The smaller conferences will start having their tournaments as they have finished their regular seasons. For these conferences, their tournament winner will most likely be the only team going to the tournament.

  • Hawaii (Big West) and Colorado State (Mountain West) have clinched their conference championships and their automatic bids for the NCAA Tournament.

Today November 20th is when a majority of the smaller conference tournaments start, so much of the details on the remaining spots in the tournament will be determined over the weekend. A team from a smaller conference that did well in the regular season could be knocked out with a loss in their conference tournament. That could take out a team from a bigger conference because of the automatic bids vs. at-large teams.
