CEV Champions League 2017

It is incredible that Kosheleva could not make any improvement at reception after playing so many years on top clubs as starter under the guidance of good trainers Her reception is even worse than 2006 while she was playing in WCh

2016 / 2017 Transfer News

Quoted from "pamphleteer" Looks like Dora Horvath plans to finish her career as a player http://www.hunvolley.hu/index.php/compon…zi-palyafutasat She showed really consistent performance in both reception and attack this year. She was surprisingly one of the best OHs in the league. I hope she would only quit her NT career not club

Serbian NT 2017

Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" Ana, YAAAAS! Again no Rankovic? What does she have to do to get invited.. Also I thought Savic was having a good season in Poland.. Not that she'll have a real chance, but she's a good slider and solid blocker.. Saviç was even bettr than Stevanoviç in youth and junior level. Unfortunately, she couldn't make the next step to be a star player from a promising player. I was hoping to see Ognjenoviç in Tokyo since 36 is not an old age for setter position however, it was k...

CEV Champions League 2017

She will most probably play in the CL final. I think it is a good time to retire. Better than watching pathetic performance of great players such as Gioli, Nikoliç, Esra Gümüş

Turkish NT 2017

Turkish NT for Islamic Solidarity Games Setters: Nursevil Aydınlar, Arelya Karasoy, Gizem Mısra Aşçı Opps: Mislina Kılıç MBs: Melike Yılmaz, Hande Naz Şimşek, Su Zent, Janset Cemre Erkul OHs: Meliha İsmailoğlu, Ada Germen, Humay Topaloğlu, Rida Erlalitepe, Buse Melis Kaya Libero: Bihter Dumanoğlu This seems to be U23 team except Meliha. However, I don't agree with the hoices. Most of these players did not play in their club (only bold ones were starter this season). But maybe these players are t...

Turkish League 2016/2017

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Quoted from "iceman008" Quoted from "ST2008" Quoted from "akitoakie" Being intimidated in sports is part of the bigger picture, and I believe both Vakif and Ecz knows that it comes with their territory. If they chickened out during a match because of the fans, then it is their fault. 2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "rbdfabio" Well, at the end of the day everyone wants Kim.... also, too bad Zhu renew with Vakfibank... Vitra could get ride of Koshleva and Larson and bring Kim and Zhu.... This was a talk in a Brazilian Chat, they were saying any of the 3 Turkish Giants should have Zhu-Kim-Boskovic... and that would have to be right now because Kim is not getting any younger. And with Thaisa,Rasic and Maja we have a "Dream Tream". Would be truly amazing to see Kim and Zhu playing together.... Kim&...

Turkish League 2016/2017

Quoted from "Sisko95" This may be a stupid question but is there any chance that not competing in the CL next year could weaken Vakif or Vitra from a sponsors/money point of view? I'd guess those teams have stable sponsorship deals, but could this make a difference? Also they will become less attractive to foreign star players, but if they still have massive budgets then I'm sure they could still tempt some of the world's best I don't think there will be any cut in their budget. Indeed it could...

Turkish League 2016/2017

Quoted from "Leonardo.D" Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Quoted from "Sidney" 13x7 then 14x10...to 14x16. I don't remember the last time I saw something like that in a decisive match USA and Italy in Rio Olympics semifinals? Although the most significant I remember in women's was Brazil and Russia in Athens. The most shocking was the semifinal match Brazil vs Russia in Athens. Fourth was 24-19, and the tie break was 13-10, then 14-16. And Greece vs USA in quaterfinals in Athens too. Fourth set...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "Meatballs" According to voleyboldefteri, Naz might skip next season and get pregnant while Cagla returns to Vakifbank. That will sure be a disaster and put them in a very difficult situation. It will be wiser to transfer a foreign setter and keep Cansu instead. That might also mean that Naz will skip NT this summer... I wish she tried it this year since the year after Olympics is the least important one, there is only ECH for NT, which is not as important as WCh or OG. I hope she w...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

There are 4 Turkish Opps also in the list and 3 of them with high rankings in the draft: 10-Ceren Kestirengöz (1993) 12-Turku Burcu (1999) 16-Yeliz Başa (1987) 51-Dilara Bilge (1990) I was expecting that Yeliz would try to play abroad since she wasn't successful in neither Prostejov nor Halkbank. However, I am surprised by Ceren and Burcu. Especially Burcu is soo young. Still I hope both would be drafted. Our league is getting stronger and stronger. It will be even harder to find a starting posi...

Turkish League 2016/2017

Quoted from "Meatballs" It is actually possible to build a fine team by collecting players from the teams that fell into division 1 this year. Crimes, Yaneva & Birgul Guler are probably the ones on demand. A small note, I havent seen Ezgi Guc in GSs roster for a long time. Looks like Ataman gave up from her and decided to invest new youngsters like Ada Germen & Berfin. I hope Ezgi will find a mediocre team to play next season! I am not sure if Yaneva would deserve to play in Superleague with he...

Turkish League 2016/2017

Quoted from "Meatballs" Quoted from "Canter" @meatballs which team would you like to stay in VVST Nilüfer B. or Sarıyer B. ? there's a great competition btw them..lets see if they keep this against each other tomorrow Im really dissapointed with Idmanocagi. I would prefer them to stay and they would do better if they are sponsor didn't chicken out. I'm surprised by their performance at the end now since they had an increasing performance in the last couple of weeks of the regular season. Among ...

CEV Champions League 2017

Quoted from "Sisko95" I think De Gennaro and De Kruijf are at a level to match the other teams also You are about De Gennaro, I forget to mention about her. However, I do not agree with you about De Kruijf. She is great attacker but awful blocker. To me the principal role of an MB is blocking, that's why Robin just a good attacking MB but she can't be compared to Poljak, Fetisova, Rasic, Kübra, Adams, Thaisa

CEV Champions League 2017

Best offensive OHs will be in final four with Zhu, Kosheleva and DLC. It is such a pity not to have KYK there and see big 4 all playing against each other Besides the setter position, Conegliano does not have any player that can match with other 3 teams Even Volero deserved to be there instead of them

Women's FIVB World Club Championship 2017

I am happy about the wild cards. Since this is world championship, it should be played with the best teams in the world. They increase value of tournament more than a team from Dominique republic or Porto Rico could. I hope fenerbahce would manage to get last slot since they are currently in of the best team in the world anyway.
