CEV Champions League 2017

Re the performance of Kosheleva, I haven't seen her play this bad too. This is the end of a reign for Kosheleva (Goncharova too?) as Europe's best attacker. She is definitely far from her form since ECH 15 or even from last year. Russia will most likey concede their title at this year's Euro volley.

Does anyone know the schedule/time zone the games will be played between the 4 semi-finalists? Thanks!

Quoted from "vballextravaganza" Maja is not injured, she was in Ecz's live video during the practice. I also saw Milena in Vakif's practice video. If Milena is not playing, then Vakif will definitely lose... How sure can you be that Vakif will lose? I already said this before, losing Thaisa will not be too big a factor (at least not in the SF match against Vakif) if Rasic will not play as well.. Kubra is a good blocker, while Adams is a better attacker so IMO they kinda cancel each other out. I...

Quoted from "hmetin3411" I hope Vakıf vs Conegliano final I can't believe to Moskow I think Vitra vs Moscow final will be equally interesting. Kosheleva will be playing against her teammates from NT, and both DLC and Poljak are former Eczacibasi players but that's just me.

Russia - Superliga 2016/17

Maja Poljak blocking everything On the flipside, Goncharova IMO is not really playing at her usual level, she can play better.

Turkish League 2016/2017

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Why are we comparing Boskovic to Kosheleva? One is supposed to receive but can't really and the other is an attacking beast with the materials to become the best opposite hitter of all time? And why are we talking gloom about Boskovic's future just because she had a bad match? Well to be fair, Kosheleva has also played OPP position in the past, and of course everyone knows she is non-receiving OH lol I am merely comparing the two in terms of their attacking skil...

Turkish League 2016/2017

Boskovic actually reminds me of a young Kosheleva. Very good attacking, definitely one of the very best in their generations. Both came up amazing in their respective debut at WCH ('10 & '14), but Kosheleva was sidelined a bit due to injury after. but was able to come back strong. I'm saying, it will take several years to see if Boskovic will still be able to play the same level.. But she is the best OPP in the world currently, together with Sloetjes and Goncha. As a side note, was there ever a ...

Looked at the stats, Goncharova is actually the best scorer of the tournament so far if we go by ave./set (unsurprisingly, she also has the most attempts together with Brakocevic). Re Moscow vs Conegliano, I think Moscow block can hold up against attacks of opponent team. If Goncha plays her usual level and she scores 8+ points set, they can win this match.

So now that we have the semi finalists in place, let me talk each about their chances. I will be leaving out Conegliano from this list as I haven't really watch them play, and as a result, do not know their chances of making it to the final match (aside from them being the hosts). 1. Dinamo Moscow - They have probably the easiest road to the gold medal match, but this must not be taken away from Moscow. The only team that seriously challenged them so far, Volero, is now eliminated. Both were 5 s...

Is it first time for Moscow to enter F4? So happy for Goncharova but I think she is not so dominant like she used to be last year. Speaking of Volero, had they won one of the 5 set matches against Moscow, things could have been different for them as they could have a better set ratio than Moscow and end up 1st in their pool, thereby avoiding Vakif in the playoffs.

Quoted from "Sidney" Quoted from "inc0gnito" I just noticed that Natalia was a bit indifferent, for a lack of a better term, to Thaisa's injury (or maybe she was too scared?). Even Eda and the other Fener players looks more concerned than her What? She was there the entire time bending over to try to help Thaisa and make her comfort. Please stop trying to find things that don't exist. They have known each other for more than 10 years now, have played together in clubs, and in the NT. They might...

Zivkovic must utilize Akinradewo as much as she can when she is on the front. She is being underused in this match IMO. But with the reception issue, i think it's not as easy
