2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Don't know if Busa could do that job. She is a good receiver but I'm not sure if she is ready to cover Koshe/Nesli's weaknesses and she is a worse attacker than Leys. Rabadzhieva would be perfect for this team IMO. Turkish league is looking very interesting for next season. Let's see what Fener do with the Kim/Natalia situation.

Women's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

Quoted from "Maxwell" Are these the tournaments for this year? Which ones will the A teams participate in? No. World Championships are in 2018 and World Cup is in 2019. This is the one year in the Olympic cycle without a major world competition. This year we will have World Championships qualifying which most teams will send their A team for. World Grand Prix is for A teams but most coaches will give a chance to the younger players as well. World Grand Champions Cup will also have some A team p...

Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" Well he must be crazy if he starts with Zivkovic.. Ana is like, one of the world's best, Bojana is mediocre to bad A few years ago I would totally agree but Antonijevic's current level is still unknown (to me anyway). I have never been a fan of Zivkovic but I thought she played quite well in the CL and CWCH. Not like one of the best in the world, but better than she used to.

Serbian NT 2017

Quoted from "rbdfabio" Hopefully nothing new happened with Rasic. I just don`t think she is fully recovered from the calf injury. She probably should not even have played in the CL Final 4 and Club Championship, but once she did, now she must rest. I just hope that is the case and not a new injury. Laola will stream some games, but they don`t have Poland vs Serbia, does anyone knows why? Yeah, I hope that is what it is with Rasic. You could see she wasn't really at her best in those games as we...

He should play his strongest team against Czech Republic as well IMO but I'm sure everyone will get a chance in the easier games. I think it is a rule that liberos can't be captains so that would rule out Popovic.

Good question! I would guess Rasic because I don't really see another option but I have heard no news on this.

Don't worry, it's not even the most shallow comment on this page I don't always agree with rbdfabio but I like that he always gives his opinion. Can't we just keep the personal stuff out of it? I don't really see the point in getting into that.

Quoted from "GoVB" I disagree with you on Hill's situation.. But this is what I thought when considering all the information out there. In the beginning when I heard the rumor that Hill is leaving, I had the same thoughts as you. I watched many VakifBank's games and Hill really didn't play that well, especially her offense. And I thought VakifBank was definitely the one that wanted her to go. But after I read more news and thought it through, I changed my mind. First, Hill said in the interview...

CEV Champions League 2018

Is that true about Volero though? I mean I know they will have a smaller budget and will not be as strong as in previous years and will not have a chance of winning it but I was expecting them to still keep a decent team

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "Meatballs" I think it is far too early to talk about CL odds. We dont know who will stay in FB and who will leave, who will they transfer etc. We dont even know who their coach will be? Same for Vakifbank, GS and Italian teams. It is not that difficult to build a team as strong as FB honestly if you have a proper budget. I agree it is too early to say anything for sure but we can assume roughly what the budgets will be for the upcoming season and the user was talking about if Kim s...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

I think Fener has a good chance to win the CL next year. There will be no Eczacibasi and Volero are gonna be weaker. The only team better than Fener is Vakifbank and remember Fener beat them 3-0 the last two times they played

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "Mimek" Quoted from "iceman008" i wonder which non turkish teams are good enough to win the champions league next year? I think Modena, Conegliano and Dinamo Moscow. Modena won't be in it but Novara will have a chance. Looks like these are the only teams because Volero will be a weaker team for now. I guess teams like Volero, Kazan and Chemik could still get lucky but it would be a major upset if they win IMO

Women's Club World Championship 2017

Quoted from "rbdfabio" That is the thing in this Blog, a lot of people giving opinions, but how many of you did actually watch the games? And how many? I think even sitenoise, that just joined the forum and is new to volleyball watch more volleyball and already understands more of volleyball than a lot of people on here. Only someone that only watched the final will say Gabi did not deserve her award. Gabi did not play that well in the final, but at the end of the day which player has played we...

Stats are always good when they can be used but there is no good statistical way to measure how good a setter has been IMO you just have to watch and judge for yourself who is most effective. While I would have given the award to Naz, Roberta or Ogjnenovic I don't think any of them played that great so I don't really care. Congrats to Yamaguchi

Quoted from "Shiznut81" well i disagree just cause someone was last doesnt mean they werent good 1 player can t make a whole team so why should a player suffer cause others in her team suck, would u think the same if zhu or boskovic or any other top player u like played for example in those 2 japanese teams and they came last what matters are stats and i just checked their stats on official site and rasic is indeed second but that japanese setter is way ahead of others http://clubworldchampionsh...

The only way to beat Vakif is to receive well. Rexona didn't and this is what happens. Sad for them but well done to Vakif, they are the best. As usual the individual awards are a little strange. Not sure why Juciely didn't get one, Gabi was not so good and while I don't think any setter was that great here, giving the award to the one who finished 7th is just odd.

Women's Club World Championship 2017

Quoted from "StefanS" This was definitely not Kosheleva at her best, I have seen her once live, when she was much better, a killer at the net you can't stop... and this was simply a more constant and solid display by Volero in tie-break, a deserved win and likely the last international success for them in a while, because they reduce their resources next season. Don't know if you watched the whole game, but ECZ were much better once she came on. Sure she wasn't at her best but she's not the rea...

Let's go Eczacibasi! This has not really been a good match, with lots of bad passing and attacking against double blocks but 5th sets are usually fun
