Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Fromm has a terrible spiking form and approach. So easy to read. Maybe that's why Kampa has been playing more predictable. Yeah, Fromm looks awkward in almost everything he does but he often get things done in his very special way. And tonight he is not the main problem. Grozer, Kampa, Böhme and Steuerwald are all massively underperforming. France doesn't even need to work much for their points....... EDIT: 13 blocks for France after two sets

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "saishuu" Goddaaamn, France is playing without Ngapeth and Tillie and they're still so ridiculously good Yes they look good but german team makes it too easy for them too. Kampa and Grozer need to step up their game. They just get blocked much too often. Giani demanded more risk in serve and attack but so far this doesn't work out.....

Men's World Championship 2018

So there is big rumble today and a lot of "do or die" matches. France vs. Germany and Slovenia vs. Belgium should be the most interesting. And lets see how far Estonia can push the russian team in front of their home crowd...... I haven't followed the german campaign very deeply so far and only watched some excerpts of yesterdays match against Turkey. Giani said that, generally, he wants his team to play with more aggression on offense and serve. So accordingly there were a lot of good impact se...

2017 FIVB U21 World Championship | Czech Republic

Congrats for qualifying to Ukraine, who proved that last ECH wasn't just a fluke, and of course to Poland. Lets see if this generation can make the double/double (2xECH, 2xWCH). Would this be historic achievement? At PanAm games, Brazil and Cuba booked their tickets to WCH. P.S. WCH Wikipedia page published the teams being qualified over world ranking. Lets see what FIVB will say.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_FIVB_…ld_Championship

2017 FIVB U21 World Championship | Czech Republic

Here you go: http://www.volleyball-verband.de/de/reda…nnen-verlieren/ "zuletzt leicht angeschlagen" Didn't see the match yesterday but generally you are right with the reception issues. Especially Bogachev, as great as a spiker he is, is always a candidate for getting served "off court". He really needs to get better there to survive as an OH on pro level.....

2017 FIVB U21 World Championship | Czech Republic

Quoted from "Kaziyski" Krick isnt playing for Germany, any reason for that Federation's report refers to "slight physical problems". He got subbed in later in the match nonetheless and obviously did pretty well. So i don't think its too serious. He will be needed for next matches......

2017 FIVB U21 World Championship | Czech Republic

OK, i give up on trying to find some reason/transparancy in FIVBs decisions. I won't waste my time anymore Just a last question: Where does your below quote regarding the 5 spots for CEV does come from? Quoted from "Kaziyski" No WCH for Turkey They were sure about participating through FIVB rankings and obviously FIVB changed rules after 1st round Quoted Only five European team teams can participate in World Cup U21 in the Czech Republic from 23 June to 2 July. And because organizer Czech Republ...

Germany - Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) 2016/17

Will start with some remarks, a bit more will follow later. Quoted from "Bayer" In Rottenburg there was a different lineup nearly every match. without Karlitzek they will definitely struggle. I really wish they could somehow generate a bit more money and make more investments in the team and coach. There is really good Volleyball culture in the city and they usually have good attendances. So, apart from the econimal point, there really is good potential to build upon.... Quoted from "Bayer" Netz...

2017 FIVB U21 World Championship | Czech Republic

Quoted from "Kaziyski" Quoted from "Noncommittal" CEV said that Russia and Italy qualified by World Ranking http://www.cev.lu/Competition-Area/Compe…ID=24217&ID=986 so Poland isn't qualified while Turkey lost WCH spot because they've sent B team to Croatia in January.. That CEV news dates back to November 2016. So nothing new here. I assume, FIVB just waits to announce the complete "world ranking spots" until all confederations have played their qualifiers. "Patience you must have, young padawa...

2017 - 2018 transfer news

Its official, Ruben Schott (OH, Berlin) will join Andrea Giani in Milano. Berlin's manager Niroomand, once again, is in blabla mood and promises to "send Giani single handedly off the gym" once he wants to visit a Berlin match. http://www.n-tv.de/sport/BR-Volleys-tobe…le19834464.html

New German BVB Coaching Structure

Quoted from "TimHH" Now after the Olympics and Ludwig/Walkenhorst's success, Beachvolleyball is generally on the rise and more private and public money is pouring in. With support from the city of Hamburg and the sports club HSV, the federation now is able to fund two fulltime coaches for each gender and decided to centralize all the National Teams (Men and Woman) here in Hamburg. Overall, you can say that they try to install a system similar to the one of the brazilian federation. While the ma...

Russia | Суперлига 2016/17

Quoted from "Kaziyski" What happened on Dynamo - Loko match? Konstantinov was very ironic after the match regarding refs... Can't judge what really happened but it was pretty ugly at times. Weird challenges, constant complaining and a lot of interruptions. Both teams relied heavily on their service and struggled on reception, so imho it wasn't exactly a match which "pleasured the eye". Overall i don't think, Dinamo played particularly well and there was actually no real reason for Loko to loose...

German NT 2017

Quoted from "Matthias" Tom Strohbach and Ferdinand Tille skip NT this summer to focus on their studies. For Strohbach that will probably mean that he won't jump on the NT carussel anytime soon again (If he wants this at all). The other younger generation of OHs are pretty much improving and obviously show more desire to develop into players of international class. Giani should focus on them.....

Germany - Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) 2016/17

Quoted from "YavorD" Yeah, sorry that there was not much participation going on, I didn't have much time to follow the Bundesliga this season either, to be honest. No problem, it is as it is. Overall there are just not enough users for the male section and those who are there, obviously have different priorities..... Quoted from "YavorD" However, one could still see this year's true Berlin RV in the Champions League. Carroll, I believe, had a fluctuating season with a slow start (but was good t...
