Men's World Championship 2018

France did a good job but IMO Germany handed them the match very easily. Grozer must have played the worst match of his life, Kaliberda was much worse than his stats suggest and most of all the team looked so frustrated and without any spirit. I wonder what's going on behind the scenes, it didn't look good at all today on the court. Nothing at all...

Quoted from "warolkojtyla" is it just me, or Tomsia hits the ball when she's already falling down? i think that's why she gets blocked so many times, obviously that's just my opinion I noticed that too.

Serbia is such a blessed team with MBs. Vakifbank nearly collapsed without Rasic but Serbia still has Stevanovic and Veljkovic plus on the bench Ninkovic and Popovic who (when healthy) play on a high level too, so nobody really misses Rasic now. Might have been different against strong opponents, but for Europe Stevanovic and Veljkovic will do the job against everyone.

Wow. I was sceptical when I read about Giani's idea how he wants the team to play, but watching this I want Heynen back ASAP!!!

2017 / 2018 Transfer News

I knew that she wanted to play outside Germany again to make some more money towards the end of her career, but I didn't expect her to return to Turkey She was very unhappy about her Idman adventure last year... But then it makes sense because her fiance Christian Fromm will also play in Turkey.

The problem is that she can be replaced on serve only once per set and Nawrocki does that fairly often. Missing that many serves must be a mental issue because technically serving isn't any difficult.

2018 FIVB World Championship - Japan

Quoted from "JoanaBG" Nothing is over yet, Poland can in theory even finish 1st still. Yeah, but that's a very unlikely theory. Serbia would have to mess up real bad to lose against this Polish team in 3 or 4 sets. Kakolewska is amazing these days and Polanska gets her job done very well, plus the liberos are ok as well and I also like Wolosz, but the wing hitters are just poor. All of them under 30% in attack today

What a comeback from CZE from 2:8 to 15:9 POL just stopped playing. Havlickova and Mlejnkova didn't serve really tough, but POL just stopped. It's hard to understand how this happens

Quoted from "saishuu" Quoted from "Matthias" Polish MBs are so intimidating at the net with their height and blocking skills, and Kakolewska has become a very good attacker too. Tokarska has horrible ball control though. She can't save a ball for her life. Tokarska isn't playing, you mean Polanska? If yes, I certainly agree But she does her main job, attacking and blocking, really well.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Trouble in Germany...Schwerin refuses to play in CL for "financial and organisation reasons". Dresden wanted to play CL instead but as 3rd ranked team they are not allowed and have to play CEV Cup. Stuttgart could have played instead of Schwerin but also refused and plays CEV Cup. Schwerin is currently inscribed for Challenge Cup but applied for a free space in CEV Cup. Thus, for the 1st time since 2011, no German team will be in women's CL

Germany NT 2017

14 players for WCHQ: S: Hanke, Möllers OPP: Lippmann, Stigrot OH: Brinker, Geerties, Poll, Grozer MB: Kauffeldt, Pettke, Schölzel, Schwertmann L: Dürr, Pogany Irina Kemmsies, Tanja Großer, Barbara Wezorke and Jule Langgemach were cut for this tournament but will for sure play in Montreux according to Koslowski. He says for this tournament international experience was a big factor to choose players. Well...Lena Möllers is very experienced at being a mediocre setter, so why risk bringing the young...

Quoted from "StefanS" Quoted from "Sisko95" Zivkovic's serve really saved the 3rd set, Czech Republic could have taken it if they had a little more composure Since Helena Havelkova is not playing anymore for Czech NT, (...) She's injured, not retired.
