Russian NT 2017

Russia needs a tall, young OH. Shcherban and Ilchenko are below 185cm, and that is not going to cut it for a team like Russia that relies heavily on their block. They already have an offensive OH in Voronkova, 1.90. I'm not too familiar with the game of Angelina Sperskaite,1.88. Is she promising? Can she help with the reception? Lastly, I'm surprised their brightest prospect, Lazarenko was not invited to play in the WGP.

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

“Also continue to play for Dinamo will be: Nataliya Goncharova, Irina Fetisova, Ekaterina Lyubushkina, Yulia Morozova, Yana Scherban, Natalia Krotkova, Ekaterina Raevskaya, and we have not decided the foreign player on the position of outside hitter, we are still negotiating with Bethania de la Cruz, in which ended the contract, at the same time we also communicate with the head coach Zoran Terzic about this position,” – added the director general of Dinamo. I probably asked this in the past but...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Is it already confirmed that Mihajlovic is going to Japan? I think she can play in Russia especially for Moscow now that Terzic is coach.. Orlova also should be a good candidate for Moscow since Poljak is supposed to be retiring. Kosheleva going to Japan might improve her reception (a longshot), but I don't think it's the best choice for her career-wise.

Quoted from "Sisko95" http://www.worldofvolley.com/News/Latest…amo-moscow.html Terzic in Dinamo Moscow according to WoV Interesting. Dinamo is basically half of Russian NT lol And for sure Russia and Serbia NT will face each in Euro Volley this year.

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Does anyone know if Maja Poljak still has valid contract with Dinamo for next season? I really think she was a great transfer and the perfect MB choice for Moscow. Also, what are the chances for Kosheleva returning to play in Russia?

Same fate for Goncharova. She's consistently the best scorer in most tournamnents she plays, only to be robbed out of conetention due to her team not reaching the finals. What a shame she played good even against Vakif, but Rexona scouted her really well.

Lyubushkina such a weak blocker. I wonder what the coach is thinking. Rexona ahead 16-13

I think Dynamo is secured of the SF spot. Dynamo will have to play really bad for them to be beaten by Rexona. As someone here already said, Dynamo block is just too good for Rexona wing spikers to overcome. But in the bigger picture, I think the question is which team can compete with Vakif in the gold medal match? I just rewatched the match between Dynamo and Vakif and it was actually close until the second half of the second set when Dynamo's reception imploded and it all went downhill from t...

Does Maja Poljak speak Russian? Just curious it seems she doesn't have a a language barrier when she talks with her Moscow teammates. I was shocked to know she is already 34 yrs old I guess she was even better when she was on her prime.

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Why is Akinradewo moving to Japan? She already played two seasons in an uncompetitive Swiss league, only to move to another? Not to take anything away from the Japs, but she has really no competition there. At least in Europe, she can test her skills against similarly-sized opponents. Her blocking skills will regress further. She is definitely one of the very best MBs when it comes to attack, but IMO she can never be on the level of Rasic or Thaisa (pre-injury) as the latter two are excellent no...

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Quoted from "inc0gnito" I think Goncha is perfect for teams lacking a strong opp, but she has no desire to leave motherland so Well she's the best opposite in the world. What should we expect? Not sure if she is still the best, but surely Top 3 in the world. But she is definitely the prettiest lol

Quoted from "Emil" Poljak She's definitely the best Dinamo player today, actually she's making her team less bad... Goncha is playing her usual level too.

If Moscow only had another scoring option aside from Goncha, reminds me so much of Russian NT sans Kosheleva.
