Brazilian NT 2017

Jaque retired? Mari Paraíba declined? We will miss Garay, Dani Lins and Thaísa really bad. On the other hand, we'll watch other players showing what they got. Let's see.

Women's Club World Championship 2017

Congratulations to Vakifbank! Rexona's defensive system worked pretty well. The block was touching many spikes and our diggers had a good time. Unfortunately, the passing was a big issue and also Zhu Ting made the difference in the counter-attacks. The float serve is getting really hard to control in women volleyball. I don't see a team with a good passing anymore. Until women players fix it, teams with great pin hitters will take a large advantage. Mari Paraíba seems to have improved her floati...

The Rules - your opinion, suggestion

I don't know if it has been discussed yet but it seems the U23 World Championship will be played in a best of 7 sets per match and just 15 points per set. There'll be no "coaching zone" anymore (I don't no how to say that in English). This competition is turning into a testing-rules championship. http://globoesporte.globo.com/volei/noti…15-pontos.ghtml

Women's Club World Championship 2017

Quoted from "joanamss" Drussyla got blocked a lot, that is true, she could have been a bit smarter soemtimes, but I admire her courage..and her attitude inside the court. Go easy on her - Drussyla hasn't been playing against european teams over her career. It takes time until she realizes how to play a different kind of game. We just have few tall blockers in Brazil. We will know in the future. Quoted from "Sidney" WIth the new format of this tournament (with 8 teams including 4 wild cards), wh...

Brazilian League 2016/2017

Sady news for Rio!!! It's getting harder and harder to stand a volleyball team... Superliga will experience a new ranking system next season. Teams can sign with two foreign players and two 7-point players. No limit for the others. 7-point players: Thaísa, Sheilla, Dani Lins, Fernanda Garay, Natália, Fabiana, Gabi, Tandara and Jaqueline. I don't think experience is such a problem to a team. Talent is. Players with no experience will get on this quad. China is a good example. Tell me how much exp...

I, for one, suppose Dentil vs Villa Dora and Rexona vs San Martin are better matches for assessments. As for TV, Sportv is just broadcasting the Final, I guess.

Quoted from "estranged" Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" Quoted from "NobodyKnows" Unfortunately, Carol is out due to an ankle injury. No Olympics for her. Oh my god! You mean Ana Carolina? The MB.. so sad! I think she would have grabbed the 3rd spot and she deserved it.. is the injury that serious? When did it happen Oh, no! I was rooting for her as well and I hoped she'll play in Rio alongside Fabiana and Thaisa. Melhordovolei says she sprained her ankle and has back injury. Apparently she won't re...

2016 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix

Quoted from "Akie Volley" Coach Ze is an amazing coach, I am sure he already has plans to beat China. Remember how he use the US libero to ruin USA on the final of the London Olympics? China is definitely the team to beat. But Brazil is a much more experienced team overall. I don't think USA will reach the final this time around. I think the gold medal match will be between BRA vs CHI. It is 2008 Olympic all over again, but now they are playing in Brazil. I think is BRA, CHN and USA. It depends...
