Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Makes Japan look a little better while Serbia is going through this phase of playing like crap and looking defeated. It's almost comical how nothing seems to go Serbia's way at the moment

I thought there were a few, which means a few too many balls that hit the floor unattended. And that play where Shimamura just spaced out, it wasn't the space out it was like the wind went out of the sails as a response. Then Nabeye runs into the huddle and falls down and everything was right again. Does every team have a class clown?

Quoted from "rbdfabio" You made the right choice. One thing to love about Japan is that they never play like crap and never look defeated, they always they their best no matter what and they always keep the positive attitude even when they are loosing. Quoted from "sitenoise" I don't want my team to play like crap and look defeated. There were some worrisome signs in those first two sets.

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

This is my first big international tournament as a volleyball fan where I've picked a team I want to win and put on my rooting pants. I don't want it to end painfully. It's secondary if they win. I don't want my team to play like crap and look defeated.

I would find it discombobulating to listen to Ferhat in a language I don't understand while the translator shouting out at the same time. Nakada hasn't used a lineup this tournament and stuck with it for the girls to gel and find one another. Or maybe she thinks they should be above that or something. Where is Shinnabe?

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Sidney" People talking about Brazil x Japan fighting for the last spot but the real battle is Brazil x Dom. Rep. I think DOM has a better chance than Japan, but I may have started false rumors

Where has Sarina Koga gone? How does someone lose all their confidence and disappear like that? I notice Nakada talks to the girls more once they get on the court. I hope her coaching is better than her challenges. She's at least 0 for 3 going back to last game and this one

Quoted from "jetmasters" Quoted from "sitenoise" Is there a place that lists who's got best numbers for various positions? I looped through the FIVB site and didn't find anything. I rewatched the Japan v China game because I'm a glutton for punishment and I'm pretty sure I heard the guy say China's Li Lin was ranked highest for Libero at this point, with 90-something percent success rate. http://worldgrandprix.2017.fivb.com/en/group1/statistics/bestscorers Select group number and find statistic...

Chinese NT 2017

Quoted from "jetmasters" Quoted from "sitenoise" XINYUE YUAN Has grown up a lot in the last year. How do you pronounce her name? I'm a little hearing impaired to begin with from playing in punk bands and such, and on the rare occasion I get an English commentary for one of China's games I don't think they've been consistent and I can't quite get it. CHIN-yu (not you) wan (like wand without the d) or does her family name almost have two syllables, like "eu-yon) And the Zhang variations: Zhang is...

Quoted from "saishuu" You guys are speaking like Brazil is already qualified! As much as I wish it were true, there is still quite a bit of drama to unravel in the last round on Sunday. I guess you're right. If Brazil loses to USA, and DOM beats ITL and TUR or JPN beats SER and RUS things would crumble for BRA. If BRA loses to USA and DOM or JPN take one of two, well ... then ... it's a bunch of math I can't figure out Thanks for the heads up!
