Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Emil" American time-outs are so democratic, not only Kirarly speaks out but everyone does. Girls are given a chance to spill out what think and It's really efficient. I see Guidetti being super furious And he has the right reason, Turks playing so bad. "Take a deep breathe: good things are gonna happen" is the best he can say.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Baronissi hired Strobbe and bought the spot to play in Serie A2 (we're still missing the topic for the championship) from Ravenna.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Actually she was called to replace Cardullo at the 2011 ECH, but she wasn't in the CEV list. Leonardi, the only libero left for the tournament, took her place and Barbolini let her play, but she didn't pass because she wasn't good enough. The OHs and the OPP took care of the passing and she stayed on court just as digger.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Quoted from "Matthias" Schwerin managed to sign Luna Carocci as new libero. She's not very famous because she was never among the very best Italian liberos, but since Italy has so many great liberos that doesn't mean she's any bad. In fact I think she's probably one of the best options they could choose She's by far one of the best passers among the italian liberos. She's "not very famous" because she didn't play as good as she can in Villa Cortese and Piacenza and didn't have any new chances t...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Sisko95" I would play Glass over Lloyd any day, Carli is good of course but I saw Glass as arguably the best in the world and Lloyd is not quite on that level IMO. Just watch Glass' performances at the WCH 2014, she was awesome. Agree with those saying the criticism of Karch is too much. I get that people want Hooker in the team and that his TOs are mostly useless and he should never have brought Thompson to the OG but his results are good. The first ever WCH gold for USA is a majo...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" Quoted from "LLOYD" I'm really going to think Carli Lloyd is better than Alisha Glass if Kelly Murphy played well like now maybe USA NT won the gold medals in Olimpic Games. Unfortunately, Sperskaite played as libero although she was good in my opinion but i still think it's waste of time the player like her, I do hope she will play in her position and will be useful player for NT. Well she is not.. And you have to remember Kelly played great im 2013, and in the preli...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Guys, Lloyd is there just because Karch is out of any options. Her setting is nowhere as good as Alisha's. If you ask her crazy fast, like it was asked to Alisha, she can't provide. She only entered into the team because Glass, Thompson and Kreklow retired all together. IMHO Carli is better than Thomson, but the best Glass and Kreklow are unreachable to the best Lloyd. She has just to carry the team this summer. Hopefully next summer Carlini will be enough experienced to play full time as starte...

2017 FIVB World League

I read it on the media. Not my fault. They said youngest team of the preliminary round. Still Langlois, DeFalco, Jendryk and Patch didn't start play pro volleyball. Next summer the team will be even better. DeFalco still has 2 years at CSULB to play. The others are coming to Europe (Patch and Langlois to Itay).

Italian NT 2017

Quoted from "giaval92" Quoted from "Kk15" Something absurd is going on in the Italian Federation: Zaytsev may be sent home because he is using Adidas shoes (his personal sponsor) instead of Mizuno shoes (NT sponsor). And wants to keep using, as far as I understand from the news in Gazzetta. He is a drama queen, that's why I don't like him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6803AEdZW3c He seems to life to be sponsored: just look at his instragram If there's a rule, you have to respect it. Next tim...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Porto Rico is playing very bad. 1 year ago they wouldn't be losing points to Perù e Czech Republic. Seilhamer and Morales are impossible to replace right now. Expecially the libero had amazing support to her team, playing as good as Castillo and other elite players of the position. Quesada and Jusino are too unexperienced and light so far. Not only Morales, Oquendo is missed as well.

2017 FIVB World League

France has got everything I like about volleyball. So sad I couldn't watch a single match of the F6. USA Team ended 4th, Amazing result for us, going around the world with the youngest team among the elite ones and playing with few guys who have 0 pro volleyball experience. I can see bright future. I'm very happy for Canada, no longer a one-man team like they very often used to be. This generation has a lot of talents. They made the history. Serbia... Without Atanasijevic gold medal last season....

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Let's just say this generation of italian players isn't so talented. Playing or not means almost nothing here. Of course they can improve, but I can't see a new Del Core or Rinieri, not to mention a new Piccinini.

Poland - OrlenLiga 2017/18

Thanks. So it is even worse. So many teams make the level drop a lot. Expecially Orlen Liga last season was the shadow of what it used to be. PlusLiga still has very strong teams and good average level. I'd rather have Supercup games.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "StefanS" After Südtirol Bolzano (Bozen) also Metalleghe Montichiari will not be member of A1 anymore. And Foppapedretti plays now definitely its last season; i.e. Volley Bergamo has now one year time to find a new main sponsor, otherwise they will give up too after so many titles won in the past (5 CL, many domestic championships and cups...). 8 Championships 7 Champions Leagues 1 CEV Cup 6 Italy Cups 6 Italian Supercups Best club ever.

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "wild_awake_" I never expect Liu X T to be the next chinese volleyball to play oversea. To me, only Zhu ting, Lin li, and Hui Ruoqi are competitive in the world market. The chineses in Igtisadchi few years ago were good (Zhang Lei) and very very strong (Wei Qiuyue and Ma Yunwen). These girls abroad can play way better than in their league IMHO.
