Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "rbdfabio" Quoted from "tomen" Quoted from "tomen" Although I has given the message in Serbian NT 2017, I say it again. Serbian NT will play against Jiangsu ECE in Changshu on July 29, 2017. They are in China right now, and the finals are in China, I`m assuming they will just stay in China instead of going back to Serbia and coming back again. The final starts only on August 2, they will get 10 days off, I`m assuming that`s why they will play this friendly game. Just to refresh, the...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "wild_awake_" Quoted from "tomen" Quoted from "Sidney" Quoted from "samsara" The Russian team played excellent match today, beat the Chinese team 3-1. Remember that China played without Zhu and Gong...and I'm not sure about their setters, but I think the main setter also did not play Zhu, Gong and Ding all played this match as the substitute players. In the last few points of Set 4, Zhu was blocked once. After the match, the largest problem of An Jia-jie is shown - the timing of the...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Hoping the Turkish federation open their eyes and watch why Italy is back with a vengeance after the transformation of Serie A era as the most powerful league in the world to just a second rate league nowadays. There is always a balance between wanting to win Champions League every year and achieving National Team success and it is hard to achieve that when their young players are staying on the bench until they're 40 years old and their veterans are still playi...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Sidney" Quoted from "rbdfabio" It just crossed my mind, but I guess it is not a bad idea for Serbia that Japan won, Serbia knows their only loss came from Brazil, and they know very well Brazil is always dangerous and they know how to win the GP more than anyone else....at least the door is open, and if Brazil does not reach the finals it will just benefit Serbia ( and everyone else). I can only smile seeing some of those strongest teams are having the leeway to engage in some mano...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "pappi" does anybody update the result of AUS x VEN in Group 3 Semifinal. FIVB homepage didnt show up the result but announce that AUS will fight for the gold with Hungary, the latter has survived after stealing the tiebreaker against France. did VEN withdraw ? If you scroll back several pages you will read that the Venezuelan team cannot get the flight in time from Venezuela to Australia for some mixed reasons. Not sure whether they will forfeit this semifinal match or the FIVB wil...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Matthias" With 2 days to go, Group 2 F4 is already certain: Korea, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic. Korea is the favourite but it will be interesting to see how the other three teams will distribute in the final ranking. I predict the GER will play in the final against KOR provided the two teams don't see each other earlier in the SF. The GER team can deal with both POL and CZE, yet the KOR, the runaway team from G1, is the strongest there. Stranded in G2 the KOR team becomes the n...

Chinese NT 2017

Quoted from "jetmasters" Quoted from "sitenoise" XINYUE YUAN Has grown up a lot in the last year. How do you pronounce her name? I'm a little hearing impaired to begin with from playing in punk bands and such, and on the rare occasion I get an English commentary for one of China's games I don't think they've been consistent and I can't quite get it. CHIN-yu (not you) wan (like wand without the d) or does her family name almost have two syllables, like "eu-yon) And the Zhang variations: Zhang is...

Quoted from "rbdfabio" Anne played in Brazil`s Rexona Quoted from "rbdfabio" AND They are both playing for the same team in Turkey next season.... Quoted from "sitenoise" Quoted from "rbdfabio" Anne played in Brazil`s Rexona ( same team as Carol) this past season. They started dating, but the funny thing is that their level dropped ever since. Quoted from "sitenoise" Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Anne was...either lovestruck or she forgot to play volleyball when she saw Carol. What is this a...

When the ball hit the player's long hair on the way out, like the case with ball from BRA hit Plak's hair, is it counted IN or OUT for BRA side? Another case, when there are two faults happen at the same time from both sides, for instance, the ball from NED hit the antenna while BRA in blocking attempt touches the net, both faults happen at the same time (to the naked eyes)... whose fault it is counted, point to whom?

FINALLY the Argentinian team can smile, the first victory in this tournament... after 6 losses in a row. Funny on how they lost though in a razor-thin margin to Croatian team in Neuquen but here, in Croatia, they are able to beat the host convincingly.... thus it seems being away is more advantageous to the ARG team

Quoted from "rbdfabio" Quoted from "samsara" Quoted from "Canter" YANG Han-yu is an MB, as well as ZHANG Yu-qian, while CAI Xiao-qing and WU Han are wing spiker. Canter, any chance the TUR resource may broadcast or live stream this semifinal match? Pls post the link if any This World Championship tournament even though an age one should be held in Asia or Europe for the decent coverage and publicity, not just any country! Quoted from "tomen" Quoted from "Canter" is Chinese Yang Hanyu a MB or OH ?i guess she is a MB she is the third best scorer and the best spiker China has three players in top 10 of the best scorers ..Turkey has two Turkish Zehra Güneş is the best MB with 36 blocks Yasemin Güveli is the fourth best but Güveli with the number of her blocks second after Zehra seems Turkey with its blocks ,China with its attacks are better Yang Han-yu participated in the first training of Chinese senior NT this yea...

Quoted from "arrekusu" For MB, Gao Yi has potential to grow but is so dumb (sorry) and slow right now. Will be happy if she can improve herself to Kubra's level (Kubra is still a bit slow but she's clever ) For wing spikers: Gong Xiangyu is so bad in attack. But it seems no other Chinese opposite can do better than her (except Changning who usually plays OH though) Liu Xiaotong i loved her form in Kunshan but apparently she's not feeling her best right now. Li Jing has improved but still so med...
