Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "LDvolley" Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" That would be a bad idea if either Brazil or Argentina gets upset in the pool phase, they will have to meet in the semifinals then one of them is going to play in the bronze medal match and will never qualify to the world championship. It wouldn't be bad if thet have 3 slots but South America only has 2. Well, just make the tournament a round-robin then. Anyway, Brazil or Argentina can't possibly lose to the other teams. Not even Venezuela...

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "vabo" Oh my goodness, I would have never expected Germany to lose against 2017 Spain of all teams in the world... this is a disaster loss. Germany has 91 points in the FIVB rankings, 80 of them are from the 2014 WCH They will lose lot of points, thats sure... Regarding changing team's game style/mentality... I remember Kampa said Giani insists on strong, big, serves and offensive play. Ok, you can try that with Grozer/Schops, Kaliberda and Fromm in the team but with Hirsch, Schott,...

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "Leonardo.D" Quoted from "Kaziyski" Just to add Spain is without Villena Wow! Without Villena? What happened to him? So, I wasnt wrong the contention is between Germany, Belgium, Estonia and Spain. I think that Estonia could upset Germany/Belgium if they stay focused. They did a good 2nd round ! No idea, I didn't find any news about injury or something like that but I suppose he is injured.

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Germany is not convincing me with Hirsch. Giani should be more decisive and just understand that maybe Fromm in a non-receiving attacking role is where Germany should be heading at. Giani is the main culprit for this loss. Can't understand why is he forcing such high-risk tactics even it's well known these players dont have "fierpower" and should rely on defensive approach. I don't believe that coach which won silver on ECH last year can make totally wrong decis...

Germany - Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) 2017/18

Logic move by Hypo's board as Austrian league is really weak and simply they don't have space for improvement. Even Posojilnica/Aich Dob isn't serious contender, not to mention other teams like Waldviertel, Amstetten or Graz. Bndesling will profit from them, as well as the Austrians but this means Austrian league is going to "disappear". So far Hypo can't match with Berlin or Vfb but IMO they can challenge Rhein/Main, Duren or Buhl.. I doubt they'll be weaker than last season
