FIVB Women's U18 World Championship - Argentina

Japan needs a fashion stylist. I can't even look at the players long enough at the FIVB site to try and begin learning who they are because they all look stupid and FAT in those uniforms. Gracious me.

2017 AVC Senior Women's Championship (Philippines/Manila, Aug 9-17, 2017)

Quoted from "pappi" Quoted from "tomen" I felt that since Kim Yeon Koung played as an OP long long ago, she should replace Jin Ye each other about the awards. What a fake OPP award for Jin Ye, who is playing outside hitter all the competition round. however, i admit Jin performed in certain big games but apparently not enough as a BEST, even a BEST OPP in this championship. I'm just catching up on a couple China games. I didn't know anyone on this squad, except Cai, maybe. She looked familiar. ...

Quoted from "sitenoise" Can anyone tell me what the full passage is that Ajcharaporn has (presumably) tattooed on her leg? I'm going with: "The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do"

FIVB Women's U18 World Championship - Argentina

Quoted from "Kk15" I can't believe the only junior WCh they're streaming is the only one without an Italian team xD How lucky! Which one is that? Have you heard the U23 is going to be streamed? FIVB failed in streaming the U20 in Mexico last month even tho they said they were going to.

Wikipedia FIVB Schedule FIVB's Youtube channel has Streams from the 2015 tournament. In order to Grow the Game! they've decided not to stream them this year. This Growing the Game! thing is killing me. No streams on that videostream site either. I imagine there is no broadcast of these growing games

The Japan NT Show so far. A midterm report card.

Coach of the Year - Fumi Nakada is the coach. Ferhat is a big bag of hot air who gets off on telling the girls stuff they already know at every timeout so he can say "I told you so". Maybe this western style mansplaining crap is what'll push Japan back to the top, but I'll never like it. Nakada makes all the important decisions, and she's playing a long game. The WGP and AVCCh were practice for the WGCh Cup. Nakada wants to win that (unimportant tournament) for the home crowd and embrace the mom...

2017 AVC Senior Women's Championship (Philippines/Manila, Aug 9-17, 2017)

I fell asleep in the middle of the fourth set. The ref clearly gave set #1 to THA. With that momentum THA crushed JPN in set two and I thought it was all over. Miya Sato was having a bad game. Replacing her with Tominaga is what turned things around, although I don't know who played set five. Congrats to my Japan team, although I would have enjoyed either outcome. Thailand is a fun team. Does anyone know why Sarina Koga didn't play? Injured or in the doghouse? She was wearing a jacket the whole ...

If Thailand wins tonight it will be because there are a dozen or so HD video choices of Thailand games on Youtube from this tournament. There's diddly-squat crap of Japan. The availability of the Thailand videos demonstrates bigger love on the part of Thailand fans. Love grows where love shows. Not positive that love wins games, but I'm taking the position that it does, anyway. Go Thailand! I'll be secretly rooting for Japan, probably in my sleep because it starts at 2:30am my time, which too la...

2017 AVC Senior Women's Championship (Philippines/Manila, Aug 9-17, 2017)

Quoted from "shukelya" https://youtu.be/anskTZASAsk Thank you ! Thank you ! When I search youtube for, for example, "2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship Japan" or something close to that I get no relevant results. The way that I have found recent matches this week is by finding something close, like "Thailand v Japan U23 Club" in the search results, and then going to that video I find more relevant results in the "Up Next" list. Any tips on how to better search for this stuff? As I said,...

The JPN/CHN match showed up in the listing at videostream site last night but it never started streaming--at least until I fell asleep waiting for it. If anyone finds a replay I can watch or download, please share. I've noticed most of the matches from this tournament have showed up on Youtube for a day or two. Many have since been taken down. THAI matches are the most likely to show up. I've already gotten a 720 stream of the THA/KOR match last night. Thank you my friends!

I'm not finding a stream of the Taipei v Phi game, and didn't see one for Vietnam v Kazakhstan. Even on the http://videostream.dn.ua site which streams Hot dog eating contests fer crying out loud. The PHI game must be being broadcast in PHI! And it's in the big stadium. My point is ... this concerns me about the JPN v CHN match in a couple hours being streamed. oh no

2017 AVC Senior Women's Championship (Philippines/Manila, Aug 9-17, 2017)

Quoted from "jetmasters" Quoted from "sitenoise" I dunno if it's a fair comparison. This C/D team beat Australia and Chinese Taipei and Kaz. Lost to Japan and Thailand ... and that qualified them for the Semi-finals? Not much of an accomplishment. Not that I'm a fan of An Jiajie or have anything against whomever this present coach is. Just sayin' This randomly selected team with no senior level experience just beat Kazakhstan to earn a semi final spot. Quite good actually. The B team with Li Ji...

Thailand is killing it from Zone 4 against Japan. Doesn't matter who's there. They're all hitting update: lol I think Thailand failed to score a point from 4 after I posted that. Koga is having fun at 4. she likes playing against her fellow little people

Japanese NT 2017

Quoted from "shadowman007" While Ishii Yuki, Horikawa and Matsumoto are in Manila with the team, Miyashita is back in Okayama. She is the roster for the qualification of the National Sports Event on August 20. I'm not sure if she will train with the team for the Grand Champions Cup after that. Does that mean she is already done? I hate that Okayama Seagulls is not letting her go. I saw the three of them sitting in the stands and wondered where Haruka was. So this "National Sports Event" is a cl...

Quoted from "barnabas" You don't believe the game took place? As of now, only an article is available: http://asianvolleyball.net/2017/08/japan…-australia-3-0/ Their next match will be against China, and they'll play at the main stadium. I think we can expect more photos, stats and even livestream videos of it. Quoted from "sitenoise" The Japan game didn't make the cut anywhere. Is there somewhere that will have stats and lineup or something to give me the impression that the game actually took...

It was nice to see Erika playing again. Seems in good shape for an oldie. China came alive in the third set, serving a couple aces, Japan failing on the receive, but couldn't pull off a set win. I would have been disappointed in Japan if they did. Who are the players on this China squad we should be noticing? Number 6 and number 9 looked ... uhm ... mature. Cai and Jin, was it?
