Italian NT 2017

What happened with Rossini? I am also surprised Candellaro isnt training. I consider him a better player than Piano, Buti and Mazzone. Btw, Vettori isnt NT material for an olympic silver medallist team. I really dont remember the last time he played well for Italy. Maybe it was in an ECH final against Russia (2013?) , where thanks to him Italy just got a set. After this match, he hasnt surprised me (in a good way) at all. I would like he proves I´m wrong (also to the italian NT fans).

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "brahmin" Quoted from "Leonardo.D" Quoted from "rbdfabio" If I remember correctly, Argentina and Venezuela played for he last spot for the Olympics last year and Argentina won but it was super close like 3-2 and 15-13 or something like that. Yes, it was like this. And Venezuela was overstimated in that match too. It was a 5-setter match, but the tie-break ended 15-12. The match could have finished 3-1. Facundo Conte played that match, as well as RIP Kervin Pinerúa. Anyway, this resu...

Men's World Championship 2018

I really cant believe Argentina lost to Venezuela...it was really tragic. I just watched the first two sets and the half of the third. It really seemed Velasco understimated Venezuela. Argentina lost the first set by a slight margin, so I thought it was the typic case when the strong team is full of itself and start to play slowly, lazy and so on because there is a "weak" foe in front (Brazil almost lost the first set against Chile in the first semifinal)...The next set was so easy for Argentina...

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "mosi" Quoted from "Leonardo.D" Is Iran playing with its first team? Or have they sent a B team or U23 one for this tournment? of course with the first team. and actually they are promoting this competition like qualifying to the World Championship is like a dream ! this link is supposed to broadcast the competition even though only when it doesn't conflict with other sports ! for example today they showed the 1st match but only few minutes of the 2nd match . http://www.telewebion.c...

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "mosi" looks like Korea will miss the World Championship once again, they just lost to Qatar despite winning first 2 sets ! I don't think Korea stands a chance against Iran tomorrow but who knows ! btw it's good that finally (and maybe for the 1st time ever) they are hosting a senior competition in Iran outside of Tehran ! Is Iran playing with its first team? Or have they sent a B team or U23 one for this tournment?

Quoted from "sitenoise" Hey wait. Why is the South Korea v New Zealand game on now? Wiki says it starts at 18:00 ... Did I brain fart and miss the Japan game Is there a better source for Schedule? Check the schedule in the official AVC website http://asianvolleyball.net/smm-2017-asia…l-championship/ Wiki is not always reliable Now only two games are been playing, Chinese Taipei vs Iran and South Korea vs New Zealand

2017 AVC Senior Women's Championship (Philippines/Manila, Aug 9-17, 2017)

Quoted from "ossubtus" leonardo, i saw a few minutes of KAZ match in the GP. they were horrible. i think their team peaked in the WCh 2014, when they qualified by beating KOR, and they had players like mudritskaya, ishimtseva, jarlagassova (anarkulova), matveyeva. their level has fallen off precipitously since. last year they had beresneva setting!!!!!! Oh thanks! Yes, I had forgotten KAZ performance in the last GP, They even lost twice against Colombia So Maybe Chinese Taipei could be the only...

2017 AVC Senior Women's Championship (Philippines/Manila, Aug 9-17, 2017)

Who do you think could be the dark horse? Chinese Taipei? Kazakhstan? Vietnam? We saw so many surprises in the last AVC Men Championship (Indonesia in the semis, for example). Could we expect for the same in this tournment?

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Germany has done a good tournment. So far, they have only lost 2 matches, and they were against the favourite of this Div II. Let´s hope they take the bronze! Korea shows they belong to Div I. They are a better team than some which are in the bottom of Div I. Of course, just when KYK is on

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "JoanaBG" Well, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. All the F4 teams will play in Grand Prix next year. I think Czech Republic isnt included in those 16 teams. Maybe if they won, there could be trouble like with Slovenia in the World League.

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

This should have been the final match None of these teams deserve to be third. Kim has been just amazing from the third set on Showing why she is still the best player in the world nowadays.

And Estonia takes the first set! Indeed, they are playing quite well. They collapse a bit in order to close the set.

Fivb Women's U-20 World Championship - Mexico

Quoted from "rbdfabio" Well if we will think this way, Serbia could win it all if they had Boskovic, and Italy if they had Egonu,Orro,Guerra. Tijana Boskovic and Anastasia Guera dont belong to this age group. Egonu and Orro yes. Most of the time, USA doesnt send their best line up in U20 tournaments, that´s why they dont have any medal in this category. Just 2 times 4th place.

Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "Kaziyski" Just to add Spain is without Villena Wow! Without Villena? What happened to him? So, I wasnt wrong the contention is between Germany, Belgium, Estonia and Spain. I think that Estonia could upset Germany/Belgium if they stay focused. They did a good 2nd round !

Men's World Championship 2018

That´s why I asked. I didnt remember the name of the team which was in the way to surprise Russia in the 2nd round. Anyway, Belgium won 3 x 0 against Slovakia (-24, -13, -15). The hosts had a 9 point lead in the first set, but somehow, the slovaks tied the game.

Men's World Championship 2018

From these 6 teams, which do you think are out of contention? Just Slovakia and Belarus? I dont see any clear favourite in this stage. I think Germany, Estonia, Belgium, and Spain has the same chances, just Belgium a slight one because they are host.

Dominican Republic NT 2017

Quoted from "kondzio" Vargas just became NT member really quickly it was around 20 years ago ossubtus, maybe in his weird dreams, but I saw not only Fersola as OH, but also Eve (she did the best from MBs as OH/OP IMHO ), Vargas or even Rondon both Vargs and Rondon were just a nightmare, comparing with them Fersola wasn't bad but having only 3 MBs, excluding injured Arias and absent Eve (it seems she's far from her prime times before injury), Marianne will be MB without any doubts and I wonder w...

Oh Poor Estonia! They were leading 21-17 in the second set, but Russia closed 25-21. Let´s see if this wont end for a 3-1 for Russia, as I expect. Home crowd was doing an amazing job!
