Quoted from "tomen" Quoted from "jetmasters" Wonder what happened to Li Yingying. She disappeared after the 2015 U18 tournament and have not been heard since. She only played the National Games junior division recently. It's a mystery. Li Ying-ying played Chinese League 16/17 as the third OH after Mihajlovic and Chen Li-yi. Chinese League 16/17 Is Tianjin still not willing to release her? This time her name is not on the training list so there is speculation of her being blacklisted.

Quoted from "beri" And here you are still being This conversation is stupid and more meaningless then U23 and WGCC combined lets just agree to disagree? On-topic: I was criticizing Zhu a lot last season but I have to say she is really starting her road to being a legend. Only thing is I hope it is not affecting the rest of the China players since all sets are to Zhu and she even covers a lot of reception lately. I can already see some players losing confidence and dedication. China although ofc...

Quoted from "serdar" Quoted from "jetmasters" Quoted from "beri" Ok, do you want a sticker now? At least try to defend your point of view instead of sarcasm. This tournament doesn't even have the best U23 players from top teams. It is for those who got demoted or failed to solidify their spot in their respective national teams to make an impression for future selection. Possibly the best generation in 2013 U20 WC which includes Zhu, Boskovic, and Gabi didn't even play in this event because they...

Quoted from "beri" Ok but you are being completely off here. My response was actally mainly to rdbfabio not even the Chinese who keeps mentioning how unimportant everything is after people disagreed with him. If you read my posts carefully you will understand my point. Bye If you think U23 is not a consolation tournament, at least bring in valid arguments and not criticize a fanbase because you are triggered by your own bias. This U23 tournament is meaningless because it was newly added in 2013...

Quoted from "beri" 'Consolation tournament' ahaha and U20 is only important bcs you won it cmon at least admit your bias. Hande Baladin skipped the U20 tournament while she seems more then excited to play in this U23 Wch. Enough said to me. U23 was implemented in 2013 so it is a consolation tournament in a way for those that didn't win in U18 and U20. Feel free to disagree. Most teams don't even send their top players. It is more of a evaluation of whether players will get selected to their sen...

FIVB U23 World Championship - 2017 |

Brazil will just need to beat Cuba in any sets to advance since they will have better set ratio 16-8 to Bulgaria's 17-9 if they win 4-3 against Cuba.

Quoted from "serdar" Quoted from "samsara" Quoted from "jetmasters" China's bench can easily win this qualifying tournament so Zhu is only there as insurance. The random team during Asian Championships managed to get 4th place so the group China is in is relatively weak. If An can't win with the bench, it only means he's too incompetent. As for U23, it's pretty much a meaningless tournament since it was newly added a few years back so winning it is not important like U18 and U20. Think of it as...

Still possible to qualify if Thailand upsets Dominican in 6 or less sets and China beats Argentina in 6 or less sets. Anyway this tournament is good to evaluate potential players to select for senior team. Liu Yanhan and Yao Di were selected by winning the crown few years back. This year Song Meili and Wang Yunlu proved themselves to be not senior team material so I think they are done in getting selected into A team. They were part of B teams before but I think it is time to say goodbye.

Tokyo 2020 Qualification rules

Olympics is never about best competition or else there wouldn't be quotas. OG volleyball should just be host, best team in each confederation, and the last 6 spots for the top ranking teams that didn't qualify to duke it out.

Women's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

Quoted from "ossubtus" wow. so much hatred for wang. you'd think she alone was responsible for destroying CHN volleyball. her presence alone made all the other players play like amateurs. usavf, you are totally right. CHN in 2012 had a very good and solid team. hui and wang in the wings, with chu jinling as backup, zeng and zhang lei as OPP, ma and yang with xu as backup for the middles, and wei as setter. that was a really good team. so CHN wasn't the favorite in neither 2008 or 2012, but was ...

Women's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

If they were strong, would not have lost to Japan, who got destroyed in the semis in 2012. A lot of these players are overrated because it was during Wang Yimei's era with these players that China got a lot of poor results.

Women's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

Quoted from "ossubtus" how's it losing to JPN in london the lowest point in CHN volleyball? that's crazy talk. the 2012 team wasn't that bad. they were probably at the same level as 2008, they simply lost a tough, very close match in the QFs. China have never lost a single set against Japan as stated above. Wang Yimei's era has a lot of dubious results so not sure why someone thinks she's really good or warranted another chance for the national team.

Women's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

Quoted from "ossubtus" samsara, not trying to re-litigate the 2012 olympics, but i don't think that was the low point of the CHN volleyball team. it's true that they were disappointed in losing in the QFs, but so did RUS, ITA and DOM. and SRB and TUR (being in a much tougher pool) didn't even advance to QFs. IIRC, CHN finished 11th at some WCh (2002?) so london was not the worst result for CHN volleyball. in london, lots of upsets happened. on paper, we'd expected in the semis: USA, BRA, and 2 ...

Chinese NT 2017

Quoted from "ST2008" Quoted from "jetmasters" The right thing to do is to challenge. What if this were a final, letting your opponent back is not a good thing at all. The only good that got of a this was China came back strong and won easily. China still has the tendency of letting opponents come back so they should improve on that. Oh yeah I forgot Lang Ping is the real coach of this tournament so An is irrelevant. An JiaJie, with his bad habit of always have something to say to the girls, rea...
