Tough group for Sarmayeh. I would rather have Shanghai to Pool A. Sarmayeh could've made Pool B interesting.

I would've given four awards to Italy. The biggest snub is Massimo Colaci. That guy held the fort for Italy. I am hoping he'll do the same for Perugia.

Quoted from "vabo" Quite amazing how a team loaded with talent such as Iran never won anything until today (not counting youth tournaments and the weak Asian championships), congratulations Their serve pressure is weak. You have to be great at that or you won't beat the best teams in the world no matter how great your players are. They also did not have a player that can really bail them out when reception is not ideal so having that young Manavinejad hitting high for Iran can be good for them ...

Quoted from "Kk15" Quoted from "Pink Floyd" Quoted from "Kk15" Congrats Iran!!! Bronze taken (and deserved, for what I've seen!) I hadn't realized this would have been their first medal in an FIVB competition So, Iran 3rd, USA 4th, France 5th, Japan 6th no matter how the last match will end. if japan win in last match , iran become 2nd . am i right ? Oh yes absolutely! I hand't realize that , I thiought I heard the commentator said Iran won bronze, may be he said 'at least bronze'! Let's get re...

Quoted from "ryleybarnes" I like Jaean Patry better than Boyer. He commited less errors than Boyer and he is taller. Patry committed a lot of errors. His game waned down the longer the match went on.

Very impressed with Brizard. I guess he is one of the few setters who can force the middle blockers to attack in awkward positions. Also being taller than Toniutti helps... It is also nice that he is cute to look at. I still can't forget what I saw in Julien Lyneel's instagram story with Brizard being butt naked while wearing just a towel....

This is what I wanted to see from Vettori. Consistency. Obviously... there's the part where Giannelli probably got the set Vettori wants...So the credit is also his.

Cester couldn't even overtake the disastrous World League Performer Candellaro in Civitanova... It is just hard to think he's going to change especially now that he's older. I don't know much about Anzani so I can't say he's better or worse than Mazzonne. I think the younger MBs have more potential so I think it is better to invest on them.

Men's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

If you've watched from the beginning to end... then you would know what I'm talking about. Basically... Japan could've forced a tiebreak or even win the game if Italy made a couple of challenge errors per set. That's how many the bad calls were during the game especially during set 3. Even Blengini got wary from challenging the ref calls during set 4 for probably the fear of making the wrong call too early in the set and losing all the challenges. . And that proven correct. They even got carded ...

Quoted from "scarpetta" Why am I entering anti- Mazzone group? (I'm not sure if there is a anti-Mazzone group maybe I should start a one) .Why is he favoured over other Italian MB'S? He has good connection with Giannelli, he's a pretty good blocker and most of all... he has a great float serve to top all that. He didn't get any ace but he stayed the longest in the service line. That is practically more than enough for any middle blocker to be considered for any selection.

How this game went on for more than 2 and a half hours should not surprise everyone. If it's not the referee making the wrong decisions every now and then which forced pretty much Italy to challenge his calls then I don't know what it is...

I don't like the officiating of this match. Where did they even get this ref? I truly feel frustrated for Italy. Every momentum they're getting is halted by bad calls.

Like what I said before... if Italy's opposite is functioning then they have a chance no matter how "weak" their outside hitters are as they say. This is a great day for Vettori to wake up to. This is definitely not Brazil's best serving day. That really helped Italy a lot.

What a terrible way to end the NT season for Gabi.... https://www.volleyball.it/brasile-gabi-s…a-al-ginocchio/ Hope she can make it in time for World Championship without reinjury and recover back to her old self.

The set by Giannelli to the opposite was generally not idealfor both Vettori and Sabbi but I feel Sabbi has more potential to beat the blockers if they become the partners instead of Vettori with Giannelli. There were just too many times Vettori tip the ball and it's hard to forgive those at this level.

Quoted from "Kk15" Sabbi and that damn antenna!!! (I'm trying to watch the end of the sets...) Italy was unable to close this set, first 22-20 to 22-22, then several set points not closed, and Iran won his first set point if I recall well... (With Iran credits, to be fair!) Once we would have done the opposite... That was Lanza who hit the antenna.

Although I am sad for Antonijevic being handed a positive test and a possible suspension... It is definitely a good sign for Sylla and Antonijevic which may put into light the truth. Having a coincidence like that is just too convenient and lucky for the both of them it happened back in China and not somewhere else.

Brazilian NT 2017

That result was not good for Brazil. Japan being able to beat them twice is no fluke...And Korea Team B able to make life hard during the last set. They have to analyze what went wrong.... Cause I feel Brazil has great highs but the lows can be abysmal. Thank God for it to happen this year and not the next year when everything is on the line and each team is done from experimenting lineups.
