Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "rbdfabio" That can be true, but still, she`s a vet by now with years of experience. Natalia and Zhu last season were their first season abroad and they showed good performances right away. I`m not really sure if the considered "weak" teams in Italy are any stronger than any Turkish teams. Even this Vakifbank bench should easily beat more than half of the Italian teams. OK, I mean I don't really know the Beylikduzu players very well, I'm not gonna lie so maybe they are better than I...

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "beri" Thats why I'm so shocked, Beylikdüzü is also not Seramiksan, Bursa or BJK, Nilüfer. They are one of the 3 worst teams of the league. Seems VakifBank might have some trouble this season which I had already suspected to be honest. Eczacibasi looks more solid now. I disagree. Of course this match is shocking, but Vakif were playing with no foreigners. It is a very different team when Zhu, Rasic and Sloetjes are all playing.

More likely Robinson is just having a bad game. Most of the teams in Italy are easily stronger than Beylikduzu, she probably just needs some time adjusting to the new players, coach, etc.

Yes, I thought Ezgi was doing a good job using everyone, but when you have an attacker like Tijana then it is stupid to underuse her. Maybe Maja should come on...

Eczacibasi don't have the star power from last season, but they are much better balanced. Meliha is doing a good job in attacking and passing and Larson looks a lot more comfortable in this system than she did last year. Without having Kosheleva ruining reception they are actually able to play a fast game and even use the MBs.

Quoted from "beri" Eczacibaşi - Beşiktaş will be an exciting match. And Seramiksan - Bursa too. Will these matches be on TV? Quoted from "serdar" To me, Bursa only upgraded libero position which was their weakest position last season while both setter and Opp positions get worse compared to Ozge&Joyce I think they upgraded OH and MB as well and Nikolova is not much worse than Joyce IMO. Setter might be a bigger problem because Nilay just isn't very good

Similar in style maybe but Kim is better at every aspect of the game, there is no one who could really replace her

Rahimova and Natalia seem to be starting on the bench. Bursa is no joke so this could be a tough match for Fener

I know they use a different ball in Turkey than what they use in Italy. The ball is more difficult to receive in Turkey I think and the stats mostly show that. I think the FIVB and CEV play with the balls used in Italy as well but I'm not sure, maybe another poster knows.

2018 FIVB World Championship - Japan

I can't with this system. These groups are hilarious. As well as being totally unbalanced in terms of quality, they are geographically unbalanced as well. 3 North American teams in Pool B, 4 European teams in Pool D

2018 FIVB World Championship - Japan

Quoted from "rbdfabio" This formula SUCKS... FIVB has no clue in how to make a tournament exciting. If the World Cup had this same formula it would not be as popular as it is for sure, FIVB should make a exciting tournament by creating round of 16, or at the least quaterfinals. Totally agree. They have made the 2nd pool even longer when they should have been scrapping the idea altogether Like you say, everyone watches the World Cup and of course that is because football is much more popular tha...

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "beri" I don"t like Tomkom for this team. She is an amazing setter indeed but just not for this team. I can't think of a single player she would have good chemistry with in this Fener. Her connection with Eda looked pretty good most of last season. I think Nootsara is a great setter and will be able to adapt to different types of attacker, even the boring but very effective Rahimova. Quoted from "Meatballs" Larson became a burden, not only in attacking but also in receiving last sea...

Yes, I mean I know she is a good player, but with Tomkom, Rahimova and Natalia I think she is surely the least important foreigner on this team. Maybe she will be great and prove me wrong but I just think this was a strange transfer
