Quoted from "Canter" btw..Maja's set to Boşkoviç (EcV's 20th point in second set) wonderful Yes it was. Maja is always so creative with her sets. It means sometimes she plays some not so good matches, but when she is playing well she can do beautiful things

Not sure just how old she is but she's not that young, probably in her mid-20s. She is quite a balanced OH with good serving and receiving. Her attacking is quite good, but not as good as Larson at her best

Enright was excellent in Italy last season as well for Firenze. I think she played in Azerbaijan before that?

Gizem Karadayi hasn't been benched. She has played every set apart from in one match this year, she is still Bursa's starting libero. Actually I've only seen her in one game this season (the first one vs Fenerbahce) and I thought she did a really good job considering it was her first game.

Wolosz has started well but everyone was saying how bad she was in Chemik last season. Personally I don't see her as one of the elite setters in the world, but maybe she can change my view this season. Bricio isn't a good passer but she is better than Kosheleva at receiving and has a better serve has well. Also she is still young and has only played one professional season so she will probably continue to improve while Kosheleva seemingly continues to get worse. To me Bricio could not improve Va...

Quoted from "SHAME" too weak for CL standards But other than Vakifbank, who are the teams that are better than them? Fenerbahce, probably. Anyone else? Dinamo Moscow?

Quoted from "beri" @Sisko if you read my posts you will see I never said she did anything wrong or illegal, although I do think it is wrong. the fact is she did take a drug and now she can't play like she used to anymore without it, not too hard to understand this logic and one will start to wonder about some things after realizing this. Also Maria is indeed very much affected by the fact that she can't use meldonium anymore but since this is a volleyball forum I won't focus on that anymore I n...

Quoted from "crovolley" Why not ?? Why do you think that Fener is better than Imoco or Novara? Bravo Novara, MVP Egonu. Novara and Conegliano would have a chance vs Fener, for sure. IMO I just think that players like Natalia, Eda, Tomkom and Rahimova would give FB the edge. It would probably be a close match... Anyway, this looked like a great match from what I saw of it. Congrats Novara

Quoted from "beri" To be honest meldonium is nothing new to Russian athletes and is now proven to be a drug. She didn't do anything illegal indeed at that time, doesn't change the fact that her performance 'suddenly' dropped after the meldonium ban... Certainly this nowadays considered drug (for a reason) helped her a lot throughout her carreer. She is also by far not the only Russian athlete struggling with this drug ban, Maria Sharapova tennis 'legend' is also affected by it. Russia played me...

Quoted from "crovolley" Can't wait to see Imoco Conegliano against Fener, Galata or Vakif.... And I think Novara will put great fight against them too. Well GS don't look like anything special, but Fener will probably be too good and I can't imagine Vakif losing to these teams unless they play really badly.

Quoted from "Janko" Does anyone have the stats for Eczacibasi? For some reason there is a team stat sheet for Ilbank but not for Vitra on the official website... Weird, I saw them there earlier but they seem to have disappeared. Can't remember exactly but I think Guldeniz was top scorer with 19. Hande was second top scorer but I can't remember what she had, but Boskovic made something like 10 or 12 in just 1 and a half sets.

ECZ managed to win the 3rd set. They started the match with Ognjenovic as the only foreigner but they brought on Larson and eventually even Boskovic was needed to save the set.

Vakifbank's blocking is too strong and Kosheleva needs every ball set so high that the blockers can always get in perfect position. She is not a good enough attacker anymore to score points against 2 or 3 high-quality blockers time and again.

Bianchini is quite good and yes she has a fantastic serve, but I don't think she's ever shown enough consistency to be in the NT. Last year she was at Modena and was mainly a bench player but she still made some great performances like in the semifinal first game vs Conegliano when she drove Modena to win almost by herself.

Quoted from "Janko" On the other, if Boskovic gets injured Eczacibasi is screwed. I mean seriously, what if she got injured? Who will play Opp? Forget the fact that no one could replace her production, is there even another opp in the team(whose primary position is as an opposite)? Pretty sure Hande would play as OPP if Boskovic got injured, I know she's not a true OPP, but she's the best they've got I think

Ezgi is a really good setter, no doubt. I don't think Motta should have a starting line-up and just stick to it though and I don't think he will, for example he played all the first match with Ognjenovic, Busra and Hande and they won easily and he played all the second match with Ezgi, Adams and mostly Meliha. Honestly I think he should give all these players a chance to show what they can do, he doesn't need to settle on a definite starting 6. It will be interesting to see what team he picks ag...

Quoted from "rbdfabio" That can be true, but still, she`s a vet by now with years of experience. Natalia and Zhu last season were their first season abroad and they showed good performances right away. I`m not really sure if the considered "weak" teams in Italy are any stronger than any Turkish teams. Even this Vakifbank bench should easily beat more than half of the Italian teams. OK, I mean I don't really know the Beylikduzu players very well, I'm not gonna lie so maybe they are better than I...
