Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" I like the way how Sheilla sells her crosscourt attacks then out of a sudden she goes for a line shot or her legendary tips. During her heydays... She makes the best liberos foolish inside the court. I guess that's art haha or maybe she's just smart. Sheilla Castro is the most dynamic female Opp of all time imo. She hits the ball all over the court and her tips are just amazing to watch.

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "ossubtus" oh my i don't follow club volleyball but only recently watched a game from turkish league and one from italian league... hearing this talk of the cubans brought back so many memories! rachel sanchez first burst in the international scene right before the beijing olympics, right? in beijing, she became the starter MB (taking the spot of zoila barros) and she was only a teenager! where has she been? daimi ramirez of course is a legend by now. she's played almost every posit...

Brazilian League 2017/2018

Quoted from "Sidney" I agree. The team is fine with Kasiely. No need to spend more money on an old player like Mari, who hasn't been playing slightly well in at least 3 years... Gabi Guimarães ("the famous one") will be back in January. Wait, Marieanne Steinbrecher is playing with Sesc RJ?

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" I could see it happen because of Destinee. I'm not sure if they have a good relationship with each other but maybe their distaste for Kiraly might do it. if this happens, then i have nothing to complain about. Would love to see the Flexible Queen back on court again.

Brazilian League 2017/2018

Barueri put up a really good fight against Rexona. I didn't watch the whole match but having Jaque on court seems to fire them up a little bit. But kudos to Sesc, having fighting till the very end of the point. They were neck to neck til 12 all in the 5th set. Sesc is a better team imo. They didnt crack under pressure and coming back from 2 sets down to eventually winning the match is always a great comeback story. Roberta is definitely one of the best new generation setters out there. From the ...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "Sidney" There is a strong rumor in Brazilian press that Logan Tom will be back in Brazil this year to play in Minas once again (this was her first professional club ever in 2003). I normally wouldn't believe that, but I don't know...maybe it might happen Logan is confirmed to be playing in New Zealand tho.

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "beri" Quoted from "akitoakie" Someone said here that Tomkom didn't work last year for FB but that failed-to-work connection helped FB won 3 trophies last season. Tomkom was a little bit underperformed for the first few matches maybe because she came in late? But her defense and serve is still as deadly as ever. Ezgi was starter last season over Tomkom, Ezgi played more matches so I do not agree with u at all. It is still obvious to me that Sara doesn't fit in FB, sorry. @saishuu ht...

Barueri is the team to beat. Especially with the arrival of Thaisa and Jaque. Hate him or love him, you can't deny Coach Ze is an amazing coach. It is going to be the classic Coach Ze VS Coach Rezende all over again.

I was watching the Pinheiros VS Barueri and I was shookt because I thought Mari and Coach Ze made up and she is now playing with Barueri. It turned out that it was Edinara. That girl truly is the second coming of Mari. The way she approach and hit the ball is truly reminiscing of the glorious days of Mari.

Men's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

What a game from BRA. They gave it all to secure that 3 points knowing that IRI was playing with full of surprises. And that defeat against ITA really put them into their places. IRI fought a good fight on the 2nd set but when BRA got into their rhythm on the 3rd set, there is nothing they can do. It seems like BRA is once again on the favorite list to win gold. It all depends on the match against USA.

Men's World Grand Champions Cup 2017

Quoted from "Kk15" Quoted from "akitoakie" so far Brazil with 4 points, Italy with 2, and USA and Iran with 3. Brazil only needs to beat USA and Iran to grab the gold. Italy has 3 points and Iran 2 (but a match less), actually. It ended 3-2 for Iran yesterday. And I was doing the math thinking you were wrong, then I realized you were taking for granted that Brazil will beat Japan (and i guess that you were thinking of 3 points victory...) Anyway, that for the moment is the Italian peak of the s...

Brazil is destroying Italy here in the first set. Since when does Bruno serve this tough? Poor Italy. They look pretty disjointed right now.

Brazilian NT 2017

Quoted from "Mkmalaluan" My top 13 at the moment: Mb : thaissa is still no. 1 but we will check her in the turkish league should she continue becoming a monster or her level declining.., bia no question!! carol very good in blocking but needs to be more consistent.. more matches for her.. i wanna see her as a starting 6 in the game vs italy maybe in the near future and also in netherlands so i can decide her agility precision and her stand in the tight race of mb in tokyo!!! Opposite: tandara b...
