Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Could someone explain to me how the ranking score is calculated. I'm confused because even though fener has lost more sets they are still higher in the rankings, I'm just used to the 3 point scoring system

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "flyingdutchman" OMFG !!!!!! 14-10 advantage and eventually losing..... A combination of tough serving but especially bad setting choices by Dijkema.. De Kruijf a DISASTER..... Daalderop I wouldn't exactly say De Kruijf was a disaster 13 points is pretty respectable for a MB

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Agguerro" The Dutch showing the they deserve to go to the semis - they are really fighting. They have played two very good matches so ar, it would be a shame for them to lose out... Cant help but think they would give a better account of themselves in the semis than the Brazil. I hope they make it to the semis. They always put up a fight no matter what team they are facing. It's always entertaining to watch them.

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "JoanaBG" Most of her points come from her serve or spiking (she's definitely not afraid of pounding the ball away if the time is right), though. Speaking of Malešević, I don't think she's nearly as bad an attacker as she's made out to be. Of course, she'll never be Brankica, but she can pull her own weight. She is very much a confidence player who needs to be fed enough balls in order to perform, but she's shown she can do it. IMO Serbia played some of their best volleyball ever in...

Quoted from "Emil" Nootsara is really fun to watch indeed, I wonder how more flexible her hands can possibly be. So entertaining whenever she makes tall (European) blockers look stupid. IMO she and Ognjenovic are born to be THE setters and I absolutely love their block-free sets. I agree with you, Nootsara and Ognjenovic are two of the most entertaining setters to watch. It will be a sad day for volleyball when either of them completely retire.

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "Canter" i intermittently watched Tur vs DR ...The MBs were not good...Polen,Meliha and Hande were good. i think that last two sets of that match were exciting than Ser. vs Chi Usa vs Bra match will be very exciting i remembered the match btw these two teams in London for some reason if Brazil wins 3-2..would it be enough for the finals ? surely Brazil has the power to win this match depending on Natalia's perf. but considering the performances of these two so far..the usa has looke...

Both Boskovic and Mihajlovic seem to have improved their serves a lot recently. They are making way less service errors than they used too

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "StefanS" Quite remarkable: both teams Serbia and China with top line up playing, despite both are already qualified. They are rather serious about this match for some reason (revanche for Rio final?). I imagine both teams feel extra pressure to win this match since it is the first time they are meeting since Rio

Could someone tell me which of the players in this starting lineup for China were starting players at the Rio Olympics? I recognize some of the players, however I am not super familiar with the Chinese team so I am not sure of which players are new.

Congrats to Japan To be honest I think I would rather see Japan in the finals, I have found their games this tournament to be quite a bit more entertaining than Brazils games. I like their never quit attitude!

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Quoted from "rbdfabio" After the 2nd set Mihajlovic and Zinkovic basically had no more motivation to go on. And Malagurski had a terrible day and should have been replaced earlier, but I think Terzic is really testing her to see what she can do, too bad things are not looking good for her. Busa also should have been replaced but same thing goes to her, Terzic must know what she can do....and things are not looking good for her either. Oh well. That is what I said Japan never gives up...they alw...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "beri" What the...? Mia Jerkov is actually in FB, its official. Let's see if this FB team works and/or is enough for TL+CL... Also Yasemin, Zehra, Tuğba Should have stayed in Beşiktaş ir any other team from TL instead of wasting their talent. Btw guys do you agree when I say Eczacibaşi is making the same/similar mistake again this season? But instead of too much talented foreigner they have too much talented locals. As far as I know for example MB position Thaisa and Adams are still...

More proof that setter awards should not be determined by statistics. They could have given it to any of one of Maja, Roberta or Naz, and it would have been an understandable choice. but choosing the setter from the seventh place team is just ridiculous. I honestly think that players from teams that aren't at least fifth place should be automatically out of consideration.
