Japan - V.Premier League 2017-2018

Thanks for the info and the video link @sitenoise obviously another Toyota supporter here. I am planning to watch the 2nd part of the season since so many great players are in this league now and Japanese volleyball is already quite enjoyable.

Turkish NT 2017

I think I agree with your list completely for now (1st half). Maybe some players can improve in 2nd half and some other names can be added. I don't think Hande is good enough for NT atm sadly so my OH starters would be I think Meliha-Fatma based on performances so far with libero Simge or Derya defense and reception should not be messy. I watched one match of Meryem this season and it was vs GS and seems she continues her performance in the end of Ech. Polen did not do bad either but if Ebrar Ka...

Mess PS: I feel bad for Maret and hope she comes back to Turkish league even if it is not GS, she could be very useful in Seramiksan f.e. but I don't know if they can afford her, maybe they can if they give up on one of Bayramova or Malesevic.

CEV Champions League 2018

Seems Arkas lost 0-3 but match could have ended 3-0 as well. If I am right Arkas has a lot of young players so maybe this match helped them realize their ability and next time they can start taking sets and matches!

Oh geez what a bad transfer, basically getting Bursa's 2nd libero Bursa is a good receiving team so I get thats why they look for a quick solution there but Gizem Karadayi really is not the answer to GS's problems imo. I'm surprised they didn't go for Aylin since she actually played much better then Gizem as a starter and she is just 22 y/o. Would have been a great investment. Anyway I'm sure Gizem Karadayi will already be a huge improvement next to Buse and Bihter and sure she can help GS more ...

I agree individual stats are much better to look at. Imo an OH main role is reception and attack, MB is blocking, and Opp is offense. So this is what I personally look at. Serve is important in a tough league as this one, so adding it a little to the stats is understandable but it getting this huge affect is pointless especially when you could just sub a serving specialist. Also agree, how well should an OH block? Hard to determine indeed. Even Alajberg as Opp is high ranked now after her aces t...

Not to forget bad servers immediately become bad players in their position or at least can't get a good ranking even though they do the rest fairly well. Serve is important but it is not all there is which is why I think this system needs a little adjustment. Ceyda with 10-30% each week and barely over 10 attacks a match and not even a lot of swings in top5 suggests we need a new system.

I agree, I really missed her fabulous blocks this season, Seramiksan needs to ditch all their foreigners and get Jessica Jones back tbh Edit: @Sisko OH and Opp and the best position stats in general are a joke indeed, Ceyda Aktaş is in there lol. I dont take it serious anymore after seeing it. Better to look at reception % and spike % efficiency amount/ per set to get an idea who the best are, same for blocking. instead of these joke position stats

I don't know why you keep saying I ignore the fact that Kosheleva is absent which is not true at all. I actually asked you before you could tell it if she was absent or not and then you answered. Using that also as a way to attack me personally while it is not true I am not going to say Kosheleva is absent in all of my posts when we already discussed that... I don't hold any personal grudges against you, actually see you as one of the more positive members generally. So if you think it is annoyi...

FB lost 3-2 against Çanakkale when Kim Yeon Koung was injured and it was the first time FB played without KYK. Not to mention, Çanakkale was like 5th in the league back then and had a better roster. It is questionable if Çanakkale is even a mid level team this season. It is just my point of view and it is not based on just their results lately I am not hating GS just bcs I am a FB supporter. I just don't see this GS reaching big things unless they can make some critical transfers.

So GS beats 2nd last placed Çanakkale 2-3 (14-16) in another very close tiebreak. Çanakkale overall was a joke this season and even lost Balkan cup. Then again Ipek Soroglu was injured and now they have Joyce in their squad. Maybe they will do better in 2nd half, they have some nice individual players but I think overall they are one of the worst teams in the league which is probably why GS would not be happy at all with this result.

Wow GS is leading 1-2 But Çanakkale 9-1 GS now in the 4th o.O Edit: Gs plays another tiebreak vs a mid range team. I don't see a reason to call them one of the top teams tbh, the top teams beat them easily and they are same level as a lot of the mid teams

22 y/o libero Aylin Sarıoğlu is doing a nice job today, Vercesi uses her over Gizem Karadayi and I am impressed so far. Good in both reception and defense.

Sloetjes has been in really really good form lately. I don't know if anyone noticed it but her approach has been twice as fast and her spikes have been at least twice as powerful then her usual.
