2018 FIVB World Championship - Japan

So an easy pool will give a team advantage in the next rounds. That is why 16 team playoff is better so there is no second chance when you lose.

Teams can lose a match each round and still have a chance for gold. It all comes down to stamina.

European Championship 2017 Azerbaijan&Georgia

Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "Insider" a team may look perfect until its weakness is found. Ex: Serbia before Olympic final. My opinion is that Serbia's weakness is mihajlovic, as a spiker she is not as dominant as Boskovic or Zhu Ting. her reception is mediocre, and she is often out of energy after 2 or 3 sets. So, just target Maha on the serves and blocks. I agree thas she gets tired quickly, but Zhu Ting passing is close to 0, Brankica at least tries and she is better digger. Zhu Ting's g...

An Jiajie is really terrible. He keeps playing his starters even though they are not 100% healthy. Zhu played with a nosebleed. Other starters also have minor injuries like back and leg. The bench should be enough to win all the games. Lang Ping really needs to find another coach as replacement.

Quoted from "ossubtus" sure, you don't want any upsets. but for sure they could have rested zhu ting, zhang changning and yuan xinyue for these matches. It is up to coach and players to decide if they want to play or not. Out of respect for opponents, maybe Zhu wants to play all teams. Kazakhstan's captain was excited to see Zhu showed up. I wish the bench would play all the matches but that is out of fans control.

You always bring your A team for World tournament qualifications because you can't afford any upsets even though your opponents are much weaker. Korea lost to Kazakhstan in 2014 with KYK so upsets can happen.

Quoted from "tomen" Quoted from "jetmasters" Wonder what happened to Li Yingying. She disappeared after the 2015 U18 tournament and have not been heard since. She only played the National Games junior division recently. It's a mystery. Li Ying-ying played Chinese League 16/17 as the third OH after Mihajlovic and Chen Li-yi. Chinese League 16/17 Is Tianjin still not willing to release her? This time her name is not on the training list so there is speculation of her being blacklisted.

Quoted from "beri" And here you are still being This conversation is stupid and more meaningless then U23 and WGCC combined lets just agree to disagree? On-topic: I was criticizing Zhu a lot last season but I have to say she is really starting her road to being a legend. Only thing is I hope it is not affecting the rest of the China players since all sets are to Zhu and she even covers a lot of reception lately. I can already see some players losing confidence and dedication. China although ofc...

Quoted from "serdar" Quoted from "jetmasters" Quoted from "beri" Ok, do you want a sticker now? At least try to defend your point of view instead of sarcasm. This tournament doesn't even have the best U23 players from top teams. It is for those who got demoted or failed to solidify their spot in their respective national teams to make an impression for future selection. Possibly the best generation in 2013 U20 WC which includes Zhu, Boskovic, and Gabi didn't even play in this event because they...
