Men's Club World Championship 2017

It already starts today?! I almost missed it...... As it seems, there won't be any streaming by Laola. So in case anyone has found a decent stream, posting it here would be very much appreciated for my part.

I just realized I never wrote a post here.

Quoted from "Martee" About Nörd Deutschland... I remember you are based in Berlin, right? I was debating how to get to Warszaw from Düsseldorf. By flight it is definitely faster but after a quick look up I found that the train probably isn't a terrible idea. Then I should be able to make a stopover at Berlin. Do you think the views en route worth the extra time? Yavor is right, i am still in Hamburg. Imo, there wouldn't be much to view on a Düsseldorf-Berlin trainride anyway. Maybe you could sp...

I just realized I never wrote a post here.

Quoted from "Martee" Hey guys! Hopefully still there are someone who remembered who I am... Sure, welcome back and nice to hear from you again.... Quoted from "Martee" 24/2 (from Seattle) München, DE, then to Innsbruck, AT. [Bundesliga: Unterhaching vs Berlin] First match between both teams just took place a week ago. It was pretty even, probably more even than Berlin wished it would be. They are not playing a good season so far, but they may improve towards end of the season. I somehow remembe...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" We have some interesting and surprising results yesterday and tonight. VaLePa def. PAOK Chaumont def. Skra Jastrzebski def. BR Volleys Looks like Boyer killed it for Chaumont. 33 points in 4 sets (+26). Also Chaumont's serving performance is remarkable (12 errors/12 aces) . But probably that is not repeatable on any given day. Given their weak domestic performances, i wouldn't consider Berlin's loss at JW as a surprise. They will need luck if they want to advanc...

CEV Challenge Cup 2018

Quoted from "TimHH" olympiacos vs. tours is a very "prominent" first round match for challenge cup. Lots of familiar faces at Olympiacos: Drzyzga, Böhme, Aleksiev, Oivanen.... we also had a little scandal. Wounenbaiana got expelled from match for Tours at the end of first set. It also looked like Tours threatened to stop playing. But match goes on.... EDIT: comments on Tours' facebook site assume that racist slurs towards Wounembaiana may have initiated the whole mess Wounembaiana apparantly le...

CEV Champions League 2018

There was this moment when de Cecco bump set to Atanasijevic over half the court on 4th meter and the guy still hammered it down the line.... They could have stopped playing from thereon and declare perugia the winner. I love to watch when a player is in such a mood that "everything goes".... Numbers for Perugia's OHs are appaling.

CEV Cup Men 2018

Schedule: http://www.cev.lu/Competition-Area/compe…D=1034&PID=1548 The competition will start this week. For the upper half of the draw, Belgorod looks like the clear favourite, especially considering Resovia's latest performances. On first view, the lower half looks a bit more balanced with decent teams like Ziraat, Verona, Montpellier, United Volleys or even Neftochemik. Pretty tough first round battle between United Volleys and Montpellier and a nice compairison between french and german leag...

Poland - PlusLiga 2017/18

Quoted from "sheba021" So far everybody is beating everybody and nobody is beating Zaksa. It will be a fun season. So it seems this is still true. Maybe with the exception of Skra, who have slowly found their rhythm. All the rest can win/lose to any team, depending on day form. Can be fun, once you haven't had higher expectations as a team. In this context, i read that resovia fired Serniotti? Any further reasoning for this move? Regarding their roster, i would say that they are still within th...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "Kk15" It seems Ngapeth was stopped while driving having drunk more alcool than permitted... They didn't say how much, so I don't know if it's just a 'regular' thing or something more severe. EDIT: 1,98, x4 the Italian limit that isn't low compared to other countries (0.5) --> driving license taken away. With this amount of alcohol in his blood it is quite admirable worrisome that he was still able to start the car. Driving a car in such a state is almost criminal. At least he didn'...

France - Ligue Nationale de Volley 2017-18

Saturdays match between Poitiers and Tours looks like an interesting match. Generally, because it is a traditional and probably well attended derby and personally, because i could watch my compatriots Reichert and Zimmermann. Both seem to do a decent job so far, as far as i can judge from stats. The match is scheduled as a stream and "full production" on Chaine L' Equipe. I only fear it is going to be geo-blocked......

Russian Superleague 2017/2018

Quoted from "scarpetta" I think Zenit is so confident and cocky that , even Alekno came to match with no plan. There is Camejo there, but they are continuing to serve to libero I am not watching very attentively but i somehow have impression too that Kazan completely lacks focus and body language. They probably can afford the loss and Gazprom may be happy too that their team 2 can do some advertisement for themselves....

Germany - Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) 2017/18

Tonight, the first clash between, as i suppose, Top3 teams of the league will take place. United Volleys will play against Berlin at 19.00 CET in Frankfurt. It will be the first match for decades which will be televised on free TV (Sport1), so a good match would be highly appreciated. With the introduction of Pujol, Berlin has gained some additional strength as he has already proven that he can make the team better, coming from the bench. Maybe he will even start today. Berlin's big guns, Kromm ...

USA - NVA (National Volleyball Association)

Quoted from "rbdfabio" you are probably not familiar with the city of Chicago. There`s meaning behind every name. "Lights out Chicago" During their migratory season, millions of birds representing hundreds of species fly through our city on their way to their summer or winter homes. Lights from tall buildings can disrupt these migratory paths, causing birds to circle buildings repeatedly. As a result, many of them die from exhaustion or after colliding with a building. The Lights Out program en...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Well, Zaytsev. This somehow fits to the image i have always had of him. But anyway...... What is somehow more interesting to me, is the appearance of Red Bull on the indoor volleyball sponsor market. I guess, they see this as a little test balloon, after they have already been involved at Beach Volleyball. Once they may decide to invest in larger scale, things could get interesting. Lets remember that they have managed within 5 years to establish a 4th division team as a Championsleague particip...

Quoted from "beri" Omg ahahaha Team Pineapple! my favorites right away xD In german we have the expression that whenever you make a 4th place or win a meaningless match, that you have won "the golden pineapple"... My favourite surely is Chicago "Lights Out". Will remember this for the next fun tournament
