2017 / 2018 Transfer News

Quoted from "harboboy" Quoted from "Meatballs" Gizem Karadayi (L) in Galatasaray. Rumours of Brenda Castillo was not true. How do you like that? I don't think it is a good transfer. Gizem is having trouble in serve receive for many years now, that was one of the reasons why she left Vakifbank (except personal ones). This season she was Bursa's worst receiver and Leys&Fatma were holding the receiving line up, while Gizem was benched by Aylin several times, and last match they played 2 libero sys...

So it was not Brenda Castillo but was Gizem Karadayi GS transferred. How are they planning to solve their receiving problems with her when she was benched by Aylin during the last 2-3 matches because of her receiving? We will sure see better defense but much worse receiving. Now I don't expect much from GS this season anymore

Neslihan has to be used that often because of Kosheleva's injury. Before her injury, Koshe was getting most of the sets on the wings. Now what should Gamze do? Seda is like a ghost after coming back from injury, Rabadzhieva is not an attacker either, of course they will overuse the most experienced opposite. That's sad but it is clear that this is just a temporary situation. When Kosheleva is fine and back, I am sure Cansu Cetin etc. will replace Neslihan in easier matches in 2nd half.

Quoted from "beri" I don't know why you keep saying I ignore the fact that Kosheleva is absent which is not true at all. I actually asked you before you could tell it if she was absent or not and then you answered. Using that also as a way to attack me personally while it is not true I am not going to say Kosheleva is absent in all of my posts when we already discussed that... I don't hold any personal grudges against you, actually see you as one of the more positive members generally. So if yo...

Quoted from "beri" FB lost 3-2 against Çanakkale when Kim Yeon Koung was injured and it was the first time FB played without KYK. Not to mention, Çanakkale was like 5th in the league back then and had a better roster. It is questionable if Çanakkale is even a mid level team this season. It is just my point of view and it is not based on just their results lately I am not hating GS just bcs I am a FB supporter. I just don't see this GS reaching big things unless they can make some critical trans...

Quoted from "beri" Wow GS is leading 1-2 But Çanakkale 9-1 GS now in the 4th o.O Edit: Gs plays another tiebreak vs a mid range team. I don't see a reason to call them one of the top teams tbh, the top teams beat them easily and they are same level as a lot of the mid teams Very biased and lack of objectivity. FB lost 3 matches in 8 weeks last season, including a 3-2 lose to Canakkale. They won majority of rest of the matches 3-1 and they were pretty close. What happened in the end? They closed...

GS lost yet another set, 27-25. It is 1-0 for Canakkale. I counted 7 aces until the half of the set, it would be absurd if GS won a set with so many mistakes.

Quoted from "beri" @Meatballs are you in Çanakkale at the moment, is Kosheleva absent again? GS leads 17-18 now No I was following the live score until it froze GS is caught Canakkale at 23-23 and i think Gamze made an ace 24-23 for GS now.

Following my first message, Rabadzhieva first made a good serve and then an ace and now GS is back to 16-14. Its all about serving!

GS is back at 14-9 against Canakkale and Canakkale already has 7 aces, 5 of them from Alajbeg. She aced Neslihan 4 times and Buse 3 times I think. At GS's side, Rabadzhieva missed her first serve, then Ruseva made a very easy serve, then Seda missed her serve. Summary of the season for GS so far...

Wow, so many Koshe haters here, anyway I hope she proves you all wrong. In my opinion, GS did a wrong choice by signing an OH like Kosheleva. It would be the same problem if they signed with Carcases or Buijs too. Their setter likes to play a fast game, it would best to have 2 balanced OHs like Rabadzhieva-Guldeniz, Rabadzhieva-Maret etc and a dominant opposite instead, like Haak. Since they couldn't sign with a good opposite, they chose Neslihan who can also receive, so that they could fill Cen...

Quoted from "Sisko95" Quoted from "Janko" Surely no one believes that 2017 version of Kosheleva, Rabadzhieva , out-of-shape Jack, Ruseva and a defensive OPP is a kind of offensive line-up that can win a title in a league that has VakifBank, Eczacıbaşı and Fenerbahçe? No, I don't believe they can win the title with this line-up or any other. Galatasaray are simply not as strong as these teams for now. However I do think Neslihan should receive because she is better at it than Kosheleva. Yes it p...

Kosheleva answered one of the instagram users that she only has a minor injury and it is not true that she is leaving. I guess we will see the transfer news from GS soon because they would like the new player to be ready for the Vakifbank match at 14 December, which means the new player(s) will need at least a week to train with the team before such a match.

@beri, I dont like these abstract comments. Can you please explain to us what is wrong with GS, why you think they will be worse in 2nd half? To me, I always try to explain what i find wrong in detail with team. I wrote here many times that GS will only get better until 2nd half and their main problems are liberos and serves. Now they are transferring a foreign libero which is a great move and improvement. That means one of the MBs will watch the match with spectators, most likely Ruseva during ...

Quoted from "harboboy" Quoted from "Matthias" Quoted from "Meatballs" Turkish users are naming Brakocevic and Maret. If Brakocevic is transferred, then it certainly means GS parts ways with Kosheleva. They were actually having a dinner all together last day and looked kind of like a farewell. Ataman might be considering Neslihan as OH, so Gamze can set like last year to Neslihan & Rabadzhieva to zone 4. Grothues is registered for Chemik in their CL roster on CEV site, so she can't play CL for a...
