Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "Kk15" Quoted from "SHAME" Coscione and Patch are the last problems for Callipo! I agree on Coscione and I remember there was a similar discussion here few weeks ago, but overtime I watched Vibo (not very often to be honest) Patch didn't impressed at all.. And I also what I overall read isn't so good about him. I remember yourself saying he still needed time to adjust to Superlega sometime ago, and now he doesn't seem to be improved that much (again, for the litt...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

De Pandis, Rossini in my opinion are currently worse than Marra and Piacenza still has Mania to fight for the title of the worst libero in Superlega. Eh Patch in Russia? Poland? I just doubt that unless he's benched. We already saw some bits of what he can do and can't do but I honestly did not predict he's going to play this badly in Italy.

I just cannot agree on Coscione. There are much better setters out there who could handle a tough pass and who can give better balls to his opposite. He is playing similarly to Giannelli but without the ability to throw off his opponent with a quick dump when the ball is passed too tight at the net, the ability to serve harder and ofcourse some blocking. If he also keeps on avoiding Patch the guy will never grow. He's not that young anymore but there is some advantages to be had when he's the on...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "Kk15" Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" they made a crazy decision to hire an inexperienced opposite from USA Well, considering his WL the idea wasn't that bad imho (as in the past happened with Russell or Christenson, even if they were 'real' titulars in USA NT). But yes, I think he is their week link (at least considering the expectations), one of the worst opposites of the Superlega so far, I'm afraid (without checking the stats). Well, may be Vettori did worst Patch didn't play ...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

I don't really find the Brazilian Central on the side of Vibo Valentia as significant. Without him, they could get a good foreign setter who can play better offense with his team. I just don't trust Coscione anymore. I'm not saying he's bad. I do see their faults as a team but he's outdated and limited in what he can do as a player. Another way is get a better outside hitter but that's even more difficult to find. I just feel a setter who could do everything could be more beneficial to this team...

Quoted from "scarpetta" I think Lube is the only team in the world that has a chance against Zenit. But knowing how they always choke at semifinals , I'm not sure if matchup will ever happen It'll be a miracle if Skra gets through to the final instead. They just don't have the firepower to get through Civitanova's block. They would need an absolute command from the serve to win over Lube til the last whistle in order to win.

Sada should've played Rodriguinho as a receiver with Leal and Filipe. The attack from Evandro and his reserve is just not worth it in my opinion.

Seems like the reign ot Sada Cruzeiro in the world level is going to end through a straight set defeat.

Quoted from "scarpetta" I can't rank Simon among top 3 MBs. He isn't blocking anything there If your setter is only 185 cm. It's going to be more difficult for him to cover such attacks. It also doesn't help they are not playing a great serving game with Zenit Kazan taking aces as if they don't care.

I went dead silent when the commentator called Mikhailov as "Mihajlovic".

I don't think Uriarte is the problem but Kreling did make it hard for Zenit Kazan when he took over in the previous set. Now block is going to be a bit of a hassle for Sada when he's in front.

Great awkward-looking attack from Leon. And then you have Leal doing a slide attack. The cubans in this match.

Evandro doesn't exist here. I think it'll be much better to use Rodriguinho as a receiving opposite to free up the cuban Leal at this point.

Zenit Kazan-Sada Cruzeiro Very interesting match. I think Zenit are the favorites if Filipe doesn't show up or if Isac's head is still in Brazil. It's still a question if Uriarte could run Sada as well as William but he's been pretty good after the Civitanova's demolishment. For Zenit... It depends on their serve... Sada had a one hell of a night with Lube and Zaksa's serving strategies that could probably conditioned them for the semi-finals so anything less of Zenit Kazan's best service pressu...

Sada Cruzeiro looks weaker from the last edition. I'm not sure if that's smart. I just wish FIVB adjusted the schedule to prevent a scenario like that.

Unfortunate for Zaksa. They can't produce enough pressure through the serve to take away the second set.

Tsvetan Sokolov with 4 blocks. Sometimes I wonder if the guy is a middle blocker or an opposite.

The ref is blind. Lube doesn't deserve any card if they get one on this match for complaining.
