Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" I had no idea there was such a big difference between the balls.. I've always played with Mikasa, so I have no idea what Molten feels like Molten = total control: 50% up to you, 50% up to your opponent's service Mikasa = no control: 33% up to you, 33% up to your opponent's service, 33% up to the ball itself Playing volleyball with the Mikasa feels like playing soccer with a Super Tele.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "Kk15" Well, that does make sense to help the teams that play the European Cups. In fact few years ago the male Superlega switched to Mikasa for this reason. The bad thing is that Mikasa is a more difficult ball, so who knows what will happen with the general level of reception... The last year I played volleyball I found this very good team and moved there. I changed league from a region to another. Every single team in this new league played with mikasa and It was a Nightmare to c...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

I hope Bundesliga stays the way it is now. Foreign limitations are just useless. Applying the new rule the VBL would just ruin the league now, that it made its way to be the third best league in Europe. Germany is bridge between the players from USA and Netherlands and the top teams from Europe. There are many of the future star players there. It makes no sense trying to change it. This is not the kind of change which makes things better for the NT. If Germany produces strong players, they will ...

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

About Abbott, she comes from a small university and she was a score machine. I always have some worries when it comes to passing because NCAA uses Molten balls, not those sucking Mikasa. BTW I don't follow Northwestern (knowing well over 200 university programs it's impossible), but she could be good. BTW Simone Lee is my player to watch among the new graduated.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "JoanaBG" Modena is such a mess. WIth all their OHs, they're still starting with Montano, and she looks like she's mentally already retired. Although, not that Pietersen did much/any better, but at least she has the excuse of just having arrived. Bosetti sucked too. Barun is trying really hard, but she looks past it physcially, which is more than understandable at her age. On the other side, a shout-out to the young 19-year old MB Alexandra Botezat! Her blocking skills are exception...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Watching Lanza and Vettori I never have doubt why Italy sucked that bad at ECH. I wonder why Hoag is still on bench. Lanza is hopeless.

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" I already said this but Lanza is better from the bench than as a titular. Vettori's level is not that far off from Teppan anyway. I always said Lanza, Antonov, Massari and so on are nothing more than back ups to me.

2017 / 2018 Transfer News

Quoted from "Umu11" Quoted from "SoloBlock" Quoted from "saishuu" Quoted from "SoloBlock" Logan's list is truly impressive! I would love to see her in Germany and Poland before she is done. The only other player I can think of that can come close to Logan's list is fellow American Sonja Newcombe. She has played in Puerto Rico, France, Germany, Turkey 2X, China 2X, Azerbaijan, Italy and Brazil. Sorry for I just find it interesting and Amazing! David Lee (USA NT MB) also comes close: Greece, Russ...

2017 / 2018 Transfer News

Quoted from "Umu11" Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "serdar" I don't think Tom has played in the same country more than once. She is my idol Actually she played 4 times in Italy with Jesi, Chieri, Asystel and Ornavasso (half season because of her studies), 2 times in Brazil with Minas (half season, because she was just graduated from Stanford) and Rio de Janeiro and in Turkey with Fenerbahce and Halkbank (half season, becuase she had to play in Indonesia for the secon...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "scarpetta" Yes Berg was one of the main reasons of that defeat. For me she was just an overrated setter. She had 2 of the best hands I ever saw in my Life. She was out of this world in terms of Speed and quality. btw, it's OT.

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "scarpetta" I think what separates Giannelli from Christenson is he can adjust his setting choices according to changes in the match. If he sees Zaytsev's good play, his setting will adjust to situation. Christenson has better pass quality than Giannelli but he has a game plan in his mind before the game , it never changes during the match no matter what happens. He can't adjust. I agree. This is something very common when It comes to american players. And It is the reason of many b...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "crovolley" And maybe it will be just opposite. Volero makes very good CL season, people started to watch volleyball more, more people involves in German volleyball, and Bundesliga started to be very high volleyball league. Why immidietally to go with negative thoughts. But Why He doesn't try with stronger leagues as Seria A or Turkish league. It would be much easier for players to play against CL teams when they are always playing high level of volleyball. Not only in CL. The oppos...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "crovolley" I don't know how much is volleyball popular in France, but I know that German fans would be more than happy if Volero would come to play their. Their venues are always full. I think players would be very happy to play their.... Imagine to have great team as Volero in Germany, they could easily play in huge venues with 10k capacity. I disagree.
