Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

We're going rather off topic, but last weekend my team lost a match because the opponent used the Molten ball We play in a league composed by teams from two federal states and our federation uses Mikasa and the other mostly Molten, so we played with Molten for the first time this season. The other team served us off the court In the end it all comes down to habituation. Mikasa is better for float serves, Molten is better for hard jump serves. Jump serves that looked like they'd fly 3m out ended ...

CEV Champions League 2018

German league intends to introduce a foreign player limit next season, but a rather "soft" one according to first reports. I assume for the beginning it will be that at least one German player has to be on court which is already not the case for a few teams right now. I really don't see the Volero thing happening in Germany. At least I hope so...I don't need superstars here, I'm perfectly happy with a very balanced league with many young players who make their first steps on the way to become st...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "crovolley" I don't know how much is volleyball popular in France, but I know that German fans would be more than happy if Volero would come to play their. Their venues are always full. I think players would be very happy to play their.... Imagine to have great team as Volero in Germany, they could easily play in huge venues with 10k capacity. I disagree. Me too. A SB Community team is the very last thing I want in our league If Stuttgart really is the club in qu...

Remember that due to VBL's wild card it doesn't necessarily have to be a club that is currently in 1st league, they might as well buy some small team and make big investments or try a similar project like Hypo Tirol in men's league. But I am pretty sure it will be Le Cannet. They already are SB Community's team in France. The question is how much French federation will like that, after all Le Cannet just got a punishment due to irregularities this season.

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "SHAME" Canakkale is not a bad team after Joicinha joined them, but they have 2 big weakness: -Brinker doesn't belong to this level -their passing and defence look ridiculous (Joicinha is the only one who can actually digg). I think your two weaknesses are actually one and the same

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Yeah well, I think she did learn something from all this. A while ago there was something on Volleywood about her, that at one point she started to think "what will my teammates remember about me in 10 years?" and the answers she had to give herself weren't too nice, so she decided to be different. After all we don't know if there was trouble around her in Pomi, but let's say I wouldn't be too surprised if there was.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" What's the deal with Pavan? I haven't heard anything about her being a bad teammate Some years ago when she was playing in Conegliano there was a "nice" story: Pavan wrote a blog for family and friends where she reported her adventures in Italy. She wrote very nasty stuff about some teammates, for example calling her setter "Valentina Scissorhands" (or later simply "Edward") and also saying something about the coach that he has no brain or something in that direction....

CEV Cup 2018

I'm glad both teams continued with their best line-up in tie-break even though Uralochka was through to next round after 4 sets. And they put up another marvelous blocking performance in 5th set On the one hand Hashimoto ended up being too predictable and sometimes set too low and too close, but nevertheless Uralochka's block did a great job technically in terms of timing, positioning and arms posture.

CEV Cup 2018

Quoted from "hakin12" Some truly amazing serves for sure from Brakocevic, but their game is awfully predictible, putting virtually all balls to Brakocevic now in the third and she has started to get blocked down A LOT...its rare to see any player getting blocked down so many times in a set as her in set 4 here. I have lost the count personally. I counted at least 4 kill blocks on her in 4th set.
