CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "powsoff" Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Still a nice game for Chaumont. Boyer was really their best option from out of system so I could see him making those mistakes. Seems like a phenomenal game for Kurkaev. The middle blockers of Chaumont are just really average compared to him so we see these kind of battles usually are won like that when you have middle blockers that are blessed with the stature and the talent. Kurkaev's average is 2.95 points per set in the Superliga, i.e. ...

Nice shot from Boyer. Grozer miscalculated that ball's landing.

I'm amazad Perugia got the win. They played so badly especially De Cecco. Bernardi also didn't make the best adjustments. I hope he learns from this. Roeselare is definitely a great team at home and the crowd was also great supporting their team.

I hope we try Berger as opposite some times. The reception in 1 and 2 is not Perugia's best of all time. Perugia needs to get out of the rotation where Ivan receives in 2 position quickly.

Can someone put a stopper on Atanasijevic's behaviour? Perugia doesn't need a red card at this point.

Great distribution from Shaw. Just needs more precision with the sets he give.

Atanasijevic can be such a troll rousing the opponent's crowd. That's unnecessary yet so funny though.

I think Berger needs to play as opposite and receive for Ivan. It's not his best receiving night and it's not really Atanasijevic's best night as an attacker.

What was that De Cecco? So dumb. I like to watch the other game too but Roeselare is causing problems to Perugia. Seems like a great game too especially for Chaumont.

CEV Champions League 2018

Really nice defensive play from Roeselare vs a poor lapse in judgment causing defensive miscues from the backrow players of Perugia. Pretty poor in attack from Perugia's WS too. They got so lucky in the second set. Great use of Shaw by Bernardi. Both setters are aggressive but the difference is how Shaw could get some blockers commit to him as well. The balls he sent were not precise so De Cecco had to come back though. The serve was also great for Roeselare but it laid low in the second set. Iv...

Not even a single block was registered by Jastrzebski. As predicted... Mikhaylov was the point of offense of Zenit Kazan for this match. No fault in the attack too.

Games to watch today: Zenit Kazan-Jaztrzebski Perugia-Roeselare Chaumont-Novosibirsk* I expect the first match to become a possible borefest.(I hope I'm wrong though) No reports of the titulars for Zenit Kazan of sickness or anything. The plusliga bronze medalist doesn't seem to be in their best form too. Muzaj is a a great specimen of a player but lacks technique. He will have to get through the block of Zenit Kazan in case of bad passes cause we all know the mighty Russian side have the thunde...

Russia - Superliga 2017/18

Proton Saratov defeated Odintsovo. I did say Odintsovo can be quite predictable and they also had some problems with the pass which smaller teams could exploit. Unfortunately...my review is quite limited. The match bored me to death that I can only watch one and a half set while having to check my phone quite a lot because the game did not hold my interest. I'm just curious about the defeat. Saratov did beat Dinamo Moscow but at least that match went to a tiebreaker. This match...

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

I don't think it's a good idea. They have no consistent OH in their roster. I don't even think I saw their 4th OH play at all. I could be wrong but it's best to keep them where they are. Maybe they can let one of their middle blockers play the role? Did Galassi have any experience playing that role? I heard Taylor Averill played that position in NCAA but I'm not sure how he will do in this league as an opposite. ...Or Piano? Maybe Vettori taught him a thing or two about his position.

Russian Superleague 2017/2018

Brother Pankov's injury might be a cause of worry for Zenit St. Petersburg. The expression on his face after his ankle got iced was not good. I hope he comes back soon and that injury is nothing serious. I would even say I will nominate him as Russia's next titular setter. Grankin is not his spectacular self anymore. Pankov brings so many things on the table for the other Zenit. Even though the setting can be disastrous sometimes... he is a great player and could be the player to surpass all set...

Any news about Abdel-Aziz' injury? Giani still let him play according to reports. Milano has a difficult fixture ahead of them. Definitely the rest offered to Non CL teams is a benefit for them. Howver, Cebulj has to be 100% for the next matches to compensate for Abdel-Aziz potential underperformance or absence. That could really hurt the team if no one can do that. Cebulj seems to be not at his full level after injuries last year for Slovenia. Milano seems to be the team with the most bad luck....

I guess that answers the Hoag absence. However...I still felt let down by Lanza. 7 serve faults out of 13 and all the other mistakes he committed. I agree with you on,Chiappa. He played a great game. His +/- is pretty good for a back-up titular.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "Kk15" Quoted from "SHAME" About Abbott, she comes from a small university and she was a score machine. I always have some worries when it comes to passing because NCAA uses Molten balls, not those sucking Mikasa Italian Championship uses Molten as well... Serie A reverted back to molten? That's news to me. I thought their contract with Mikasa run from 2012-2016. Ofcourse the deal expired but I feel they probably extended with Mikasa because Mikasas are everywhere...besides the NCAA...

Quoted from "Bahkawdi" Latina and Piacenza is gonna go to 5. Clevenot finally playing well and Ishikawa is getting some burn Maruotti is not healthy so Ishikawa probably was the titular Gitto was also in doubt to start so Le Goff is there.
