Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "saishuu" Carlini seriously needs to step it up. One of her sets is gonna get Haak injured one day. And I'm not even gonna talk about her sets to the middles... I was thinking the opposite: her OHs need to wake up IMHO. Bosetti can't kill free balls on the net and gets blocked twice, while de la Cruz is completely unstable, looking very very lazy. She can't even run Adenizia, because of their passing, and forces the game on Haak. Santana impressive so far. Ogbogu made her first came...

CEV Champions League 2018

Friedrichshafen killed PAOK players' patience. They're making so many unforced errors, while the germans keep serving well and digging. Heynen's masterpiece tactic!

CEV Champions League 2018

Friedrichshafen is a very annoying team to play: they don't make any unforced errors, digg everything and make the opponent mentally tired making the rallies longer and longer. Very nice job. I really like them, but I like PAOK more.

Russian NT 2017

Quoted from "Matthias" Oh dear. A certain setter now has a decent chance to regain her spot as starting setter of NT But other than that I think it's a decent decision. He has a lot of experience and knows all Russian players well. She played her best volleyball under her father, so let's see what happens. She's the main reason why Russia didn't look old style school when they won the ECH few years ago, playing a quite enjoyable volley, which is something I never saw before from the most boring...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "scarpetta" Who is Lube's second libero? He is a child Isn't he Andrea Marchisio? He's 27 BTW. Did that guy ever played in a libero uniform? The other libero we saw was really young. I just connected. It's the libero from the youth team. According to the CEV he's called Giammarco Storani. Marchisio isn't listed as libero for this match and he's wearing the same jearsey of the rest of the team.

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

I wonder what Naz's haters will say after this match: she saved her team coming in with Besiktas leading dy 4 and put her team easily ahead. Robinson is unstoppable with her setting. Bravo Naz!

I'm so glad we won. Roeselare at home is very very dangerous. They're always a pleasure to watch when they play at home. Trinidad is followin Tervaportti's steps: what a nice match from him!

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Can someone put a stopper on Atanasijevic's behaviour? Perugia doesn't need a red card at this point. Well, he choked all night long. At least he did something in this match. I don't get the point of taking out Shaw. Roeselare was leading by 7 and with James we behind just by 3. They made soon the break when Luciano came back to court. Shaw should be trusted more. Let's see what happens in the tie-break.

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Great distribution from Shaw. Just needs more precision with the sets he give. He's making their blockers run all over the net.

CEV Champions League 2018

De Cecco is the main problem IMHO. He's forcing the game setting very bad. This is not the night to try making magics. Shaw can change the set. Edit: Shaw just subbed Luciano.

CEV Champions League 2018

It was a big turnaround. Roeselare can keep our rythm anymore. 3 factors changed the match: -Zaytzev's rude block 1 vs 1 on Tuerlinckx, that started choking right after. -Shaw's setting (they were reading De Cecco like a book and he was setting very bad to the OHs). -Roeselare started serving on human level after kicking our a**es for 1,5 sets. IMHO Shaw did a great job. He had a so so connention with Podrascanin (timing) and a so so set to Atanasijevic, but overall he was very important for our...

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "USAvolleyfan" I had no idea there was such a big difference between the balls.. I've always played with Mikasa, so I have no idea what Molten feels like Molten = total control: 50% up to you, 50% up to your opponent's service Mikasa = no control: 33% up to you, 33% up to your opponent's service, 33% up to the ball itself Playing volleyball with the Mikasa feels like playing soccer with a Super Tele.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "Kk15" Well, that does make sense to help the teams that play the European Cups. In fact few years ago the male Superlega switched to Mikasa for this reason. The bad thing is that Mikasa is a more difficult ball, so who knows what will happen with the general level of reception... The last year I played volleyball I found this very good team and moved there. I changed league from a region to another. Every single team in this new league played with mikasa and It was a Nightmare to c...
