Brazilian League 2017/2018

no video for Sesc RJ? I am dying to see Gabi's performance on court. Heard she did fairly well on the recent match.

Logan Tom & Destinee Hooker - What Went Wrong?

wow. there are so much new information here. never thought that this would happen for a team as great as the us. i feel bad for logan. she is definitely one of the legends when it comes to female volleyball. when you think about USA women's volleyball, her name will forever be the first come to our mind. too bad that she got kicked out by Kiraly in such manner. a legend like her deserve better. she might not be as good as she used to be, but that is no way to send off one of your icons away. hoo...

USA NT 2017

I couldn't find the podcast anymore. I forgot the link because I basically stumbled upon it. But you can go to volleyt.alk and search for the thread. There were some very heated argument about it. And I just learned that the tragic Nicole Davis was nasty to her team mates as well.

USA NT 2017

Destinee was cut from the NT for the same reason Logan Tom was cut, right? Something to do with attitude problem? At least that's what is seems like according to that tragic libero's podcast interview.

Logan Tom & Destinee Hooker - What Went Wrong?

sorry if this topic has been discussed before but i really want to read more on personal opinions and thoughts about why these 2 great players leave the USA NT after London? is it because of poor performance during that iconic finals? afaik, Logan Tom showed up on that match and basically the only functioning players front and back court. Destinee wasn't up to her usual performance, but she has been a phenomenal player all year long. so what happened? is it because of attitude problem? i have re...

Brazilian League 2017/2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Quoted from "akitoakie" I have a feeling that Kasiely will have her Drussyla / Roberta moment. Coming in as back up and then shine and then become regular starter. I hope she will stick with Coach Bernadinho because that man knows what he is doing. He plays a huge role in developing some of Brazil female NT players. I disagree but I'm fine with surprises. Kasiely is too weak as an offensive player. Pena will be that player. Rio also still has Gabi to count on ne...

2017 / 2018 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "Sidney" Looks like Carli Lloyd will play in Barueri (Brazil). Poor Naiane if this is true. She is a backup for Ana now, and with Carli coming, her time on court will be limited. She should have go to Sesc and be Roberta's backup. Same thing happened with Lorraine. She moved to Osasco with hope she can have more playing time. But Osasco already have Paula and now that that Levya is there, Tandara might go back to playing Opposite.

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "beri" I agree with @Canter there is more then 1 strong team in Turkey... She could even go to foreign countries like Italy and try something completely new. Imo most Italian local setters are not so good either so I believe she could be really a game changer there. She could even go to Brazil or Russia f.e. but I don't see that happen. She has enough options to go to from Turkey to foreign countries but the thing is is she willing to try. I would do it if I was her, she has played ...

here is part of the link where Tiffany played and scored 30 points. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIhWJhQ9W1s shout out to Paula Pequeno. she is still slaying the Superliga. I wish Mari Steinbrecher could find a team. it is weird watching the league without Sheilla & Mari.

Brazil ex-NT member, Ana Paula, sounded off on Twitter regarding Tiffany's physical & physiological advantage. It is a very sensitive topic. People will label you as sexist if you say Tiffany should not be playing on the women's section. As a sport science enthusiast myself, I do agree that there are HUGE advantage for her in terms of strength and power because of her muscle mass and the activation of her motor cells unit.

How is Nootsara performing so far? Is she good? Is she a good replacement for that US setter? And how about FB's scoring machine last season, Natalia? Is she playing good coming back from her injury? These 2 players were the reason why I love FB last season. Including Queen Yeonkoung.

What a SHAME. Minas with its first line-up cannot beat the "broken" Sesc. More and more I dislike Rosamaria. Her attitude on court turn me off. She is always made about something, always screaming and pounding her chest, always looking pissed when her time on court has been nothing but okay. Pri Daroit did a better job.

Brazilian League 2017/2018

The ones that are secured: Natalia Fe Garay Roberta Thaisa (if she chooses to play) Tandara Bia Up for grab Drussyla VS Rosamaria - I would prefer Drussyla. She has better techniques and I love the way she tips and hits different areas of the court. Drussyla is powerful but one trick pony. Gabi - the biggest prospect. There is no reason to leave Brazil's most stable receiver and defender out. Juciely VS Ade VS Carol - experience taught them a lot. Ade is currently the front runner. Having an ama...

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Looking from the stats, I would love to give a special shout out to Fener's setter for the derby match. I assumed it is Nootsara? She contributed the attack fairly, having 5 of her attackers in double digits. When you play like that, the opponent will have a hard time deciding which angle to defend because the attack is coming from all corners. Brazil's Roberta does the same all the time that is why Nootsara and Roberta are my top 2 favorite setters right now.

Is this even legal? (Whole body inside the opponent's floor but feet are lifted maybe?)

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" http://www.worldofvolley.com/News/Latest…ules-video.html 11.2.2 Penetration into the opponent's court, beyond the centre line: 11.2.2.1 to touch the opponent's court with a foot (feet) is permitted, provided that some part of the penetrating foot (feet) remains either in contact with or directly above the centre line; 11.2.2.2 to touch the opponent’s court with any part of the body above the feet is permitted provided that it does not interfere with the opponent...

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" I like the way how Sheilla sells her crosscourt attacks then out of a sudden she goes for a line shot or her legendary tips. During her heydays... She makes the best liberos foolish inside the court. I guess that's art haha or maybe she's just smart. Sheilla Castro is the most dynamic female Opp of all time imo. She hits the ball all over the court and her tips are just amazing to watch.
