Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Zhu's reception is a big liability against good server teams like GS I wish Robinson could step up her game especially at offense. Hill was a perfect sub for Zhu last year The reason why Kübra plays as slide attacker is simply that Rasiç doesn't play as slide attacker neither. Zehra is not a good slider neither. Indeed besides Eda, we don't have any good slider (missing one of the best European slider Aysun Özbek ) Kübra, Dicle, Zehra, Aslı, Büşra are all M2 players. That's indeed one of the rea...

Comparison of Strength of European Leagues

The discussion always comes down to the criteria you determine as strength Do you compare title contenders in the league or are you as strong as your weakest member? If we compare the top 3 teams, LKS Lodz, Police and Rzeszow are as strong as Schwerin, Dresden, and Stuttgart. Also Beziers, Cannes and Mulhouse are pretty much on the same level as well as Alba Blaj, Bucuresti and Stiinta Bacau. I think we will be able to judge the level of these leagues once the European cups ended

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "beri" Quoted from "serdar" Quoted from "beri" Rachel Sanchez is my hero, she is an MB normally but plays as Opp recently and damn 61% success spike rate today also good match by Salas again 24 kills (45%) and Ramirez is a great leader to finish it off #goCubans Sanchez played as MB today . I saw her play as Opp in at least some of the parts of the match. Check the stat sheet: http://tvf-web.dataproject.com/MatchStat…58&type=LegList She was opposite of Nesve for all 4 sets so she wa...

It is indeed weird. Askasspor has a female team that's playing in the second division for many years but they always play with youngs...

2017 / 2018 Transfer News

Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "serdar" I don't think Tom has played in the same country more than once. She is my idol Actually she played 4 times in Italy with Jesi, Chieri, Asystel and Ornavasso (half season because of her studies), 2 times in Brazil with Minas (half season, because she was just graduated from Stanford) and Rio de Janeiro and in Turkey with Fenerbahce and Halkbank (half season, becuase she had to play in Indonesia for the second half of the season). You are right! I forget ...

CEV Champions League 2018

3+1 foreigner rule makes it hard for a new club dominate the league. Although you transfer 3 top level foreigners, you cant beat even top 4 teams without good locals. The top level local players are very exclusive to top 4, I can't see they are leaving their club for a newly emerged team. Probably that's why Volero wants to join a league without foreign limt

2018 CEV U18 European Championship

Turkey has three very promising players from this generation: Opposite Kaan Gürbüz (MVP of last year's U17), Setter Berkün Eber Üstündağ and MB Ahmet Tümer (He is already playing as starter in Turkish league with Beşiktaş). Curious if they will manage to beat other favourites Italy and Belgium this year

Burcu's performance has been quite disappointing indeed but she is not even in the match roster for a long time that's why I thought maybe she has a long-lasting injury

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Quoted from "beri" This just proves how strong the big Turkish clubs and the whole Turkish league is in general imo. I will never call teams weak again. (Except Ilbank) Let me give you an idea. Dinamo Moscow only has one true OH with scherban as starter. Isaeva/Stolyarova is an opposite who plays as an OH so we can imagine some discomfort with this team having to play with just two good passers. As they say... Money talks and Turkey has that. Even a team like Ni...

Nilüfer should have used their third foreigner slot. Ceyda is clearly not reliable for this level. Also their setters are quite mediocre

Quoted from "7UP" Quoted from "serdar" Quoted from "Ttom" some news from LSK: -Veljkovic may leave Chemik and go to Modena (which is very interesting, it looked more likely Bednarek is leaving/injured/pregnant because she is not playing for several matches now but because of limits it would be quite problem to have only one Polish MB Gajgal) Rabka may go from Ostrowiec to Rzeszow and Gajewska from Rzeszow to Ostrowiec..Miros got offers from Dabrowa, Wroclaw and Budowlani Lodz That makes sense. ...

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Vakıfbank wouldn't be as successful as it is now without Naz. There is no single Turkish setter who can fill her spot and foreign alternatives (there are only a few) will cost either Sloetjes or Rasiç to sit on bench. Since there is no good local Opps, only option could be having Eda to fill Rasiç's spot but since she is such a big figure in FB, I can't imagine she will leave her team. Naz is one of the most experienced setters on CL level and she is only 27 years old, which is quite a young age...
