Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Enright, Enright, Enright...If you go back and watch their first meeting of the season she did the same thing at the end during the key set. She is +5 in one set while Bricio is +1 for 4 sets. Tough to win with all those errors.

I guess the foreign limit for next year is still a hot topic and not finally decided based on this article in Italian press. volleymob.com/italian-teams-vehemently-oppose-limit-international-signings/

If Imoco keeps the team together for next year then Haak for Fabris and Orro or ? for Woloz.

Enright owns Imoco, just like the first match of the year.

Egonu is fast approaching the Bosco, Zhu status as an attacker. As she learns to control her errors she will soon be part of that top elite.

The foreign limit will be worse next year when it goes to three. It will be imperative to have a top Italian setter, Orro? and one strong OH to compete. There are plenty of qualtiy MB's in Italy.

Imoco, two free balls in a row and they couldn't get a decent swing. That hurts.

I'm appreciative of Hill's back row defense. I don't think there's anyone as tall as her that can go so quickly to the floor. I guess being slender has some benefit.

Hill's attack percentage has to be well over 50% based on this set. Very similar to the second set yesterday but Busto came right back and should have taken the third.

It's a shame, Shame can't tweet directly to the Novara bench. Hill thanks you for that.

The ace to error ratio is too high for coaches like Kiraly or Guidetti. Bosco had one of the best jump serves as did Larson and they all shifted when they went to Turkey or the USNT

Bricio will never play in Turkey with that serve. She should start shifting to a jump float now like Bosco. Plus it would be great if she could hit off the high hands on the triple block. Less errors from her is important today.

Any news on whether Melissa Vargas has actually reported to Dynamo Moscow as previously reported or just another rumor?

Kim Hill's continued service woes will need to be fixed before the NT season starts or her starting position is at risk. Once considered the most formidable part of her game this season she has struggled and being pulled at 21-23 shows that the coach has no confidence that she could put 3 balls in play in a row. Otherwise her game is very solid today.

the best team in Europe is playing in the CEV cup this year. Last seasons huge fail by ECZ probably cost them a CL gold medal. What's the format for the 2nd and 3rd Turkish teams to CL for next year?

CEV Champions League 2018

this rally wouldn't have been possible with either Bricio or Hill serving. they couldn't put that many in play without and error. Even Bosco has given up her top spin serve for a jump float.

Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Big week coming up for Imoco. Last weeks loss centered around the sub par performance by Bricio, then the late injury to Fabris and the very poor performance by her sub Nicoletti. With Fabris still doubtful there is no backup for Nicoletti unless Simone Lee has been practicing to do some backup there. We haven't seen yet what Lee can do and it may be time to find a spot somewhere in the lineup to see how she responds. Busto is certainly a team that could beat them. Imoco then has to face Fenerba...

CEV Champions League 2018

Hill had a sub par game in reception, attack and block but she was good in serve. But best of all her reception, defense, and serve were excellent in the crucial 5th set. 7 receptions of which 4 were perfect (setter didn't have to take more then one step), 2 were good (setter took less then 5 steps), and one error. Also she had that 4 point service run which included no aces but serves were difficult and a couple of solid digs. Long service runs were her specialty last year for Vakif with the Mi...

CEV Champions League 2018

Fenerbache doesn't have enough depth to compete in a five setter. You could just see their energy drain out after three and there is no one to come off the bench to help. Plus they are only getting points from 3 people and Polina had a particularly bad game. Imoco had 5 people with double figures. Hill didn't have a very strong game although her serve came back after struggling recently in Series A. Fener's reception was better early and then worse late. Two straight losses of this fashion have ...
