Another player is known (actually since 2 days ago but I just discovered it now): Stuttgart's young backup setter Pia Kästner was invited to NT training (as I hoped...)

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Being admin, I see the IPs of users and I also see when different usernames use the same IP. Thus, I think all users should know that "pope" is the reincarnation of "rbdfabio", banned some months ago If you behave better you can stay, but I won't hesitate to ban you again if we get back to the level of discussion we had back then here in the forum

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "Sisko95" Maja screaming at Guidetti was hilarious. He is always shouting at everyone and trying to intimidate the referees, so it's good that he is getting a taste of what it's like for a change. I'm usually not a fan of such behavior, but when I watched the reply of Maja I was like I've been watching her for over 10 years now and it must take a lot to make her freak out like this, and reading all comments here it looks like Guidetti deserved it (once again ). I also agree with wha...

Comparison of Strength of European Leagues

Quoted from "FAME" German users should be relieved, that he has chosen France to continue his "endeavours". I seriously am. I would have developed a big dislike towards Stuttgart if they had chosen to become Volero Stuttgart, but I'm glad their management chose wisely. By the way, since Le Cannet got eliminated in French league quarterfinal, I wonder how the new Volero is going to try to enter Champions League for next season

German NT 2018

VC Wiesbaden posted an article saying Kimberly Drewniok is invited to NT training starting on Monday. As they only mention her, I guess Tanja Großer and Lisa Stock will not be in NT this summer... Still no official info from DVV, but from the articles so far we know that 21 players are in the roster for VNL and among them are Barbara Wezorke, Kimberly Drewniok, Ivana Vanjak, Lena Stigrot, Vanessa Agbortabi, Jennifer Pettke, Leonie Schwertmann and most likely Hanna Orthmann.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

What's the point of continuing? She hasn't improved in the last 6-7 years after being a great prospect in junior age, Guidetti even compared her to Fürst back then. She has come to a point where she probably had to decide if she plays for some weak team for a salary that barely allows her to live or if she calls it a day and starts into "real life", and I appreciate that she chose the 2nd option.

Quoted from "crovolley" Klara Peric is right now our best setter. And when exactly did she show that? Or show anything actually in the last year?

Russian NT 2018

Quoted from "inc0gnito" I am not aware of another 'Pankova' that is a receiver There is Alina Pankova, but I don't know her position. The list above was posted as "inofficial" on Facebook, so it might not be real eventually. Sokolova as libero would be the biggest joke in history

2018 CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship - Women

Looking at the stats of this tournament, many teams put up ridiculously high numbers of aces and terrible reception numbers. IMO this is not good for the long-term development of the players because it means that other skills can't be learned in a way they'll need it as senior players. For example how will we have strong middle hitters in the future when the juniors don't get to attack quick balls at all due to too strong serving and bad reception? A few years ago I saw something interesting in ...

2018 CEV U18 European Championship

I watched today's and yesterday's matches of German team. I was very impressed with Jason Lieb (S), he did a very good job in distribution and his 2nd ball attacks are really strong Overall it seems to be a very promising generation.

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "georgez3811" what bout hannah? Her season in MONZA did not go very well I think. it seemed she rarely got opportunities to made appearances I disagree, Orthmann got much more time on court than I would have expected and I'm sure she learned more in Monza than she could have if she had stayed in Germany. However with Pedulla leaving, I have no idea what will happen to her.

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "georgez3811" any news for lippmann? would she stay in Schwerin? She has one more year contract with Schwerin, but after her performance this season I think she'll probably move to a better league, there will surely be plenty of teams who would buy her out of her contract and Schwerin wouldn't want to cause her any trouble. I hope she makes a wise choice...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "flyingdutchman" In six weeks, the competition starts...and there is not even a website yet ....?? There is one linked on FIVB calendar site, but when I try to access it it tells me that I don't have permission to access it http://www.volleyball.world/vnl However, I agree with what you mean. FIVB is doing a rather poor job. And the competition is waaaaay too close to club team season, some teams will have just 2 weeks to prepare for it and surely a lot of players will be resting. I ...

German NT 2018

According to press articles from Dresden and Vilsbiburg, Felix Koslowski has invited 21 players for the preparation for VNL and NT training will start on 23 April in Schwerin (for the players who have already finished their season). I haven't been able to find the full roster anywhere but according to those articles Barbara Wezorke, Lena Stigrot, Jennifer Pettke and Vanessa Agbortabi have been invited. It means no other player from Dresden (i.e. Apitz/Schwabe) will be there. I hope the full rost...
