Russian NT 2018

Quoted from "Rains" Quoted from "inc0gnito" I think the Russian squad that participated last ECH is pretty close to ideal. Will Muserskiy ever come back? => He can but IMO, Russia can be a top-tier, competitive team without him which was proven in ECH. Is Poletaev capable of replacing Mikhailov as the main opposite? => Rains, of all people I think you should know lol As long as he remains healthy, Mikhailov will always be titular for Russia. I think a better question is who is the best candidat...

Russian NT 2018

Quoted from "JoanaBG" Goncharova will skip the Volleyball Nations League. She wants to rest after a long and tiring season. I don't blame her really, and now with the absence of Kosheleva she will be overused to hell and back good thing she will be rested. Since Malykh has retuned to NT, I hope she becomes the main OPP for Russian NT at VNL.

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "beri" I'm sorry Goncharova is one of the most overrated players and this all bcs she is considered pretty , unless its a sky high perfectly set ball she is pretty ineffective. Goncharova is between 4th and 6th imho esp. now. She'd wish she could spike a ball as well out of system as Sloëtjes (or Tandara). And again I'm not saying she is bad however she has a system and is def. not a player thats comfortable going outside that which is fine but is not enough to make her 2nd best in ...

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "beri" She has an amazing reach and approach much better then Tandara imo while she is also very tall, she is very quick and athletic as well. I agree that she is overall a better player and the second best Opposite in the world right now, only Boskovic is better. Uhhmm except not really. If we were to rank the worlds top opposites, I say she is a third or a tie with Tandara. Sloetjes may have a "better" approach (but that is subjective even) but Goncharova is a better blocker, util...

Russian NT 2018

Scherban is playing good in Moscow atm and I honestly would have taken her instead of Kutyukova who can't kill the ball to save her life. Even Ilchenko is a liability in the passing and at least Scherban can help somewhat in reception. Voronkova will arguably be OH1 with the absence of Kosheleva. I wonder how will the reception looks like, it seems Malova has retired and Kryuchkova has decided not to be back after returning to NT last year.

Russia - Superliga 2017/18

Quoted from "StefanS" By the way, Goncharova prolonged her like eternal felt contract with Mocscow for one more year (she is there since 2007 now). So there is no fun for Istanbul top clubs by getting a top opposite now... I think Goncharova is contented with playing in domestic league and has no desire to play abroad, either because everything she needs she can find in Moscow or she doesn't care enough to challenge herself and play with the best teams overseas. I get the impression she is stub...

Russia - Superliga 2017/18

Quoted from "Canter" Moscow wins Russian championship ? or it is bets of 3 ? If rules were not changed this year, it's a best-of-5 series, and the team to win 3 games will be the winners.

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "AdmonKadmon777" Quoted from "leo2017" Quoted from "Gomez4" Rumors that Zhu Ting will sign new contract with Vakifbank(1,7 million EUR) and they want Tandara also If Vakif has got 1,7 million for Zhu, they will not be able to find money for Tandara's contract... And Sloetjes is a much more complete, almost "universal" player: amazing blocker, for instance, whereas Tandara is a short athlete that fits the brazilian Superliga perfectly, where tall females are disappearing... In case s...

In the event Goncharova decides to move out from Russia (I hope she does really), I hope she goes to Turkey and Fenerbahce signs her. I can imagine KYK x Eda x Goncharova will definitely rival Zhu x Rasic x Sloetjes

Russian NT 2018

With Kazan probably not qualifying in Final 6 in CL, NT season is just around the corner after Russian SL championship. Setter: In my opinion, this will be the biggest question mark this year. With Pankov at the helm as NT coach, I expect Pankova to be definitely part of the team. Whether she is the team's main setter or not, this is for another discussion. Vetrova is really doing good in Moscow and she has a good chance of being invited. I want Startseva to return to NT as well after her absenc...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" It doesn't sound like there is a tear(flexion hopefully?) of the ligaments and there is swelling within the bone if I have to guess at the english translation. I hope she recovers soon as it seems like it should be the end of the season for her anyway. At this point... everyone's eyes are fixated on the world championship. I don't think russian fed or even Kosheleva herself would risk it if she could recover in time for that tournament. By the way... Just saw Ko...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "StefanS" It seems to me, that Kazan is currently living by its great OH duo Mammadova/Vasileva. If one of those two is out, their system quickly collapses, if an opponent is good like seen today against Conegliano - and this will pose a major issue for Kazan also in Russia against Moscow. Vasileva is kind of key player, nearly not possible to play well without her... I thought Mammadova was playing primarily as OPP in Kazan? But your point still stands.

Brazilian League 2017/2018

Quoted from "saishuu" Zé still wants Jaque in the NT, so chances are she's gonna be at the WCH this year if she wants to. By the way, for all the Skowronska naysayers, she was great in the last match for Barueri. She was inconsolable too after the defeat. Pretty much every fan here wants her to stay another season. That's good if Ze still wants her to return, I think she still an asset to NT based on her recent performance. Now if only Sheilla will return to NT as well but she hasn't played for...

Brazilian League 2017/2018

Watched the last match between Barueri vs Osasco and I thought Jacque played good. What are her chances returning to Brazil NT? I think she is still better than say, Rosamaria for example. Thaisa meanwhile is slowly getting into shape. She is still slow especially in her attack, but her blocks are still there.
