Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

I don't think Slöetjes is a bad opposite at all. That's what Guidetti does to his players in recent players. He picks one victim every year, starting with Buijs, then Vasileva, then Sheilla and now Lönneke. Then he pushes their self confidence to zero so even if Vakifbank loses a final, noone blames Guidetti or Vakifbank but focuses on that victimised player. Good strategy Guidetti, I'm just very annoyed to watch you playing with these players' careers so easily. Stay strong Lönneke, you are a m...

Comparison of Strength of European Leagues

Quoted from "FAME" Quoted from "Dillio" Quoted from "StefanS" In an interview regarding going to a foreign league with Voleros professional team the club owner Stav Jacobi listed his personal list of stronger leagues than the swiss one: Turkish, Italian, Russian, Polish, French, Romanian, and German "Fun" fact I just heared from a swiss friend: After Sm'Aesch-Pfeffingen won the first game in the Finals (3:1) and was about to maybe get the 4th set in Zurich what would have meant a Tie-Break, Jac...

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

I have a feeling that Terzic is not a big fan of Antonijevic. I would prefer to see her in GS. I think Gamze can learn a lot from Ana and her style matches what Ataman likes and also to the team. FB should instead transfer Lloyd or Wolosz. Aaaa! I would really enjoy watching Antonijevic-Lipmann in GS

Other opposite alternatives for GS can be Smarzek or Lippmann. I prefer Lippmann if they prefer to take the risk since she is much faster and I somehow think Gamze and Lippmann can make a good duo, not because they are both blonds

Guldeniz and Meliha have contracts with Eczacibasi for 1 more year as far as I know, so they will most likely stay. Hande might be loaned to GS since Nalan Ural (manager of Eczacibasi) seems to have good relations with Ataman and GS in general. Hande is not the best of receivers but she has a quick attacking approach, so it might be wise to use her with Gamze. At GS, finding a good opposite will be the key. They were most likely planning to keep Neslihan since she had 1 more year of contract but...

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "beri" Oh thanks thats good news to hear, at least they can be more competitive now and probably won't be slaughtered as they would without them. Also the young Turkish libero Melisa Memis moved there from Beylikduzu: https://volleymob.com/alba-blaj-brings-i…league-final-4/

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Changing foreigner rule should be a long term plan. Most teams design their teams for the existing rule, so they don't invest on local players. If teams know that in 3-4 years the rule will change to 2 plus 1, then they can invest on U18 locals now, transfer them and make them ready before the change happens. Guidetti is a smart man, he knows he has Zehra, Kubra, Ebrar, Naz, Cansu Özbay, Tugba, Derya, Gizem Örge and Ayca who are probably the best locals in their positions in the coming years. So...

Well it is no surprise Guidetti suggesting 2 plus 1 system when Gözde is retiring at the end of this year. Why did not he suggest the same system 3-4 years ago? I think all Guidetti cares is Vakifbank

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "leo2017" It seems all team want to beat vakfibank in champions league. However, I think the real threat to vakifbank is eczvitra this season in turkish league. When it matters, only zhuting and boscovic can sore with above 80% successful rate continounsly! It decides everything. Didn't GS stop Zhu and Vakifbank in last year's Turkish semi-finals and pushed Vakifbank out? It was almost the same team with only Robinson being new. Don't tell me Rasic was injured because Rasic is not do...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "harboboy" Is there something between Ataman and Ruseva? After he screamed at her like she is a child in a match few weeks ago Ruseva was not on court since then. She is taller and a better blocker than Asli, so why didn‘t she play? No I don't think so. Laola commenter said in the beginning of the match that Kosheleva is injured and therefore Cansu Cetin is in and same with Ruseva replaced by Asli Kalac. I think Ruseva is professional enough to take such criticism, Ataman does the s...

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "arrekusu" Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Karakurt seems to be a good prospect. She also feels different from the other turkish players who are very feminine. She probably has a warrior soul and that's a good value for an opposite. Why didn't she play a single match in this year's Turkish League? I thought she's already with VakifBank. Rules don't allow? Melis Durul is quite underperforming to say the least. She was on loan in Division 1 where she played with other Vakif prospects...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "leo2017" Quoted from "harboboy" As Meatballs already mentioned, GS has a better line up when Seda and Kosheleva don‘t play. The last match against Vakif proved it and Vakifs key for their success is a well receiving system not strong hard attackers. GS has high chances if Cansu plays and Jack must be on fire today alongside with the help of Rabadzieva and Neslihan. I do not think it will work vs novara imho. Novara beats imoco volley so many times recently. Imoco volley is even muc...

CEV Champions League 2018

I expect a big failure in Novara's receiving line today. GS is playing very different when both Kosheleva and Seda are out. I should remind you all that Seda played with an injured shoulder in the last 2 sets of last match against Novara, still it was a close match. I think GS will keep their Gamze-Neslihan, Cansu Cetin-Rabadzhieva, Jack-Asli, Gizem K team. Two key players here are Neslihan and Rabadzhieva. Neslihan played great against Vakifbank in all elements and looked very confident when sh...

CEV Champions League 2018

GS shared info about Koshe & Seda's injuries: http://www.galatasaray.org/haber/voleybo…slanyurek/39184 Kosheleva's knee trauma caused strained cross bands and oedema in bones, that is a terrible translation, sorry. Not familiar with medical terms. They will decide on her treatment depending on MR later. Seda had shoulder deltoid strain and they started her treatment already. I guess she can play in 2nd match against Novara but most likely will miss Vakifbank match.

CEV Champions League 2018

Congrats to Novara! I loved how they kept their nerves after losing 2 terrible sets but still made it to a win. That also shows how mature they are as a team and Barbolini as a trainer although I really dont like him. Previous comments summarize it all, I agree that Neslihan is the key player. She made few crucial errors and they were all breaking parts of the match. I think she hit out twice and made a receiving error. Rabadzhieva could be more dominant in attacking since they share receiving w...

Quoted from "TimHH" Quoted from "scarpetta" Quoted from "TimHH" Quoted from "scarpetta" Where is Arslan Eksi and some of Novosibirsk’s players? Did they field a "second team" tonight? Anyway, hats off to Chaumont and Maaseik. Good battles everywhere tonight. I hope the return matches can keep up with this. Yes While checking stats of turkish league, i noticed that Eksi apparantly is playing for Maliye Piyango now..... http://tvf-web.dataproject.com/MatchStat…63&type=LegList That's another perso...

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "francexplosn" Quoted from "Canter" Quoted from "StefanS" I found it exaggerated Do you know if Naz is able to play today?read that the injury will sidelined her for a month, which would change dynamics a little bit Voleybolunsesi published recently that Naz can play with bandages, though I will be surprised if they risk her. Risking her now, already in the 1st match might cause her missing finals and F4, while without her they might end up in Cev cup next season I think the betting...
