Italy - Serie A1 2017/18

Quoted from "beri" I have to admit one thing I really hate from Italian league is the ugly and tiring purple-ish court filled with sponsor and esp. when the team uniforms are also filled with sponsor names, it really gets blinding to me. I used to like it actually but long time it gets annoying to me personally. My fave court-style is the one with inside the 3m a little darker then the rest like in Brazillian league, And I used to hate that one at first. But it looks proffessional, yet modern t...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Quoted from "Matthias" I think Pia Kästner plays better than Stoltenborg today (and also already in the 1st match), I hope the coach will have the guts to keep her on court Annie Cesar is such an instinctively good digger! If she can improve her reception (which isn't bad either) she can be the next libero of German NT. To me she looks much more promising than Pogany/Stock/Dreblow and this was just her first season in Bundesliga. Cesar started in Stuttgart at the beach, but because we have a du...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Rather bad match by Stuttgart, the main issue was, they had nearly no pressure in service, so Schwerin won lots of easy points. McCage shows once more, that she could easily be starting player in Italian league, but of course I'm happy, that she stays in Stuttgart.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "Marcus" M Quoted from "Kk15" Quoted from "harboboy" And it is official: Nanjing is the host. http://cev.lu/News.aspx?NewsID=26831&ID=5 Sorry but this is more than unfair to any other country. China almost doesn't even travel as they host every week a pool (except one?) nevertheless bad choice Edit: Just read in the article that this venue was also the host of last years Grand Prix, OMG it makes it even worse! Plus, I expected some kind of 'punishment' for China (as a host country, ...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Quoted from "Canter" Daalderop is important but i dont know much about Pusic..how important she is for Stuttgart ? I can't give you things like numbers - Pusic is more experienced, despite this difference Annie Cesar did a rather good job in the first final. We have just to wait, what will happen...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Tomorrow in the evening (18:10 CEST): the second match of the final series, this time in Schwerins Palmberg hall. Live aired by Sport1 German TV station, but also on sportdeutschland.tv. One thing is for sure: Stuttgarts players will be really angry because of the unnecessary defeat at home and will make serious trouble for Schwerin, despite the injured players Daalderop and Pusic are still a disadvantage for them.

Now happens a large-scale decay of Potsdams roster: Gründing, Dreblow, Svobodnikova and others will be not on board in the season coming. I enter the leaves on the first page now...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Nothing new in the league (shall I write about it at all? maybe not all read it yet): primarily for money reasons (as expected) the video challenge system isn't used in the playoffs, because the VBL can't pay it and the clubs also can't pay it; at least Stuttgart declined VBL's request for it, because it can easily create additional costs of roundabout 20.000 Euro for the team. For the very same reason neither Stuttgart nor Schwerin are currently willing to participate in CL (pool stage guarante...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Quoted from "Matthias" I still see a very small part of the ball touching the line And experience with challenge system shows that rather often balls that seem more out are shown in by a few inches in the replay. This is just the shadow of the ball.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

I could now watch that service of Oluic in the recording of yesterdays match on a big TV screen and it looked like we all saw it in the hall - definitely out, despite very close to the line, but the contact area of a ball is considerably smaller as its diameter. It's a pity, that some here don't believe it, a video challenge system would have delivered the proof of being out for sure.

Turkey- VVSL-Vestel Venus Women's League 2017/2018

Quoted from "Canter" some stats from the third match : Vitra made 9 passing errors Vakıf made 9 Vitra made 13 blocks Vakıf made 12 Vitra attacked with % 41 (average of whole team) Vakıf with % 40 Vitra made 8 serve errors Vakıf made 4 (it was 15 in the second match which was a 4-set match) Vitra made 32 errors during the whole match Vakıf made 29 errors We already guessed, that both teams are on the same level - which is now confirmed .

Russia - Superliga 2017/18

And the CL qualification berth goes to Uralochka NTMK EKATERINBURG. They lead the small final series 2:1 and today in fourth match 2:0, Yenisei KRASNOYARSK could level, but the tie-break was for Karpols team finally. So Krasnoyarsk finished a relatively bad season, not getting into pool stage of CL because of the surprise loss against Maritza PLOVDIV and now being forced to be content with CEV cup next season, despite they finished league round as third team.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Of course, for FIVB this is all about business, nothing else. The core teams were selected due to this criterion, by far not always respecting results of the last World Grand Prix.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Quoted from "flyingdutchman" Quoted from "StefanS" Nika Daalderop suffers from an ankle injury, if she can play in the finals at all, is not yet clear, but prospects are not good, I think. Ankle injury could take easily 2-3 weeks...(umgeknickt). Without Daalderop's attacking power, it will be really hard for Stuttgart. At least the remaining two to three outside hitters can survive in good shape the final series opposed to the last three seasons now, but of course losing the strong "the current...

Poland - Liga Siatkówki Kobiet 2017/18

Quoted from "Phil" Impel Wrocław probably won't play in LSK next season. Club presideng said they would announce the final decision until the end of month. Rumours from Muszyna: Club might merge with Proxima Kraków or sell the license to play in LSK. This sounds like complete chaos, continued from last season (that license transfer/merger of Atom Trefl Sopot and Proxima Krakow). By the way, due to livescore.in (https://www.livescore.in/de/turnierbaum/…/Uanyj61A/#draw) decisive match will be onl...

Would have Stuttgart won this match, when that service of Oluic were not have been decided as in (which is more than questionable)? We will never know, but that decision at that stage in tie-break gave Schwerin an huge advantage without any doubt. Regarding block touch: this is the area, where I miss video challenge system the most; I'm pretty sure, that this is the kind of decision most often done wrong by referees, because even when sitting at the net it is extremely difficult to judge for bal...

2018 CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship - Women

Somewhat surprising outcome, because mostly Russian girls make way to many mistakes in this age usually, but this time they did better. Anyway, overall the first three places for Russia, Italy and Turkey are no surprise at all; Serbia was better mostly the last years, but this year it didn't work out. A pity for Germany, which lost all chances for going to World Championships after good beginning in three matches against Turkey, Italy and Belarus and can only play in Baku next year the European ...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2017/2018

Of course I would welcome a video challenge system for such matches, but currently the clubs and the league can't afford those expensive systems financially - to buy it requires 150.000 Euro; and at DVV cup and supercup it is only there, because some sponsors paid the costs for those events.
