2018 / 2019 Transfer News

Quoted from "B. Moreira" He had a really good season in Italy and its nice to see him in Ravenna again. Maybe some bigger teams should watch him for the near future. Really strong player. And only 21 too!

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "Rains" I've said it once or twice... when Lanza and Vettori are not playing well. Trento will lose and they did. What changes do you think they should make for next season?

Italian NT 2018

I think they should definitely have Polo on the roster. Also crazy how thin Italy is on outside hitters right now.

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Rains_of_Castamere" Giannelli plays too fast which can be hard on his hitters. I wish Trento has a strong hitter to make Giannelli slow down the tempo a bit somehow. Sometimes that kills them when they had to play normally. Just too many mistakes. Uros is not playing well so Trento have their best hitter out makes bad business. Yeah Gianelli likes to take a lot of risk in his sets and goes hard all the time. Which is why he and Kovacevic usually work so well together imo. Uros did ...

CEV Champions League 2018

Quoted from "Marcus" Here is your annoucer! There was no fault in the blocking action of Vandoorn. But the fact that the setter, as backrow player, jumped with Vandoorn to try and block makes it an 'illegal block'. All players who jump near the net and try to block the ball (even if they don't touch the ball) are considered as one block together. So in the end the point was correctly given to Trento. This is what I needed! thanks

CEV Champions League 2018

Wow Chaumont got robbed at the end of the first set. Vandoorn got called for blocking even though he didn't touch the net or step on the line. Wish there were announcers for these games

Italy – Superlega 2017/2018

Quoted from "Kk15" I loved a first-intention pipe attack by Lanza on a free ball passed by Verona, I'm not sure I've ever seen this gesture before (by anybody, actually...) Except for one of the most famous volleyball highlights ever !

I like h Quoted from "Kk15" And we all know Abdel Aziz would have won it if he wasn't injured... I like how he still had the most aces on the season despite missing so many games.

Quoted from "Kk15" Abdel Aziz officially confirmed for another year in Milan. Thank goodness. Better for the league when the talent is spread around a bit.

CEV Champions League 2018

https://volleymob.com/champions-league-playoff-math/ Article I wrote on different playoff scenarios. Basically, if either Chaumont or Berlin lose they are out, and Chaumont has the tiebreak if they lose by the same number of sets. Belchatow can still miss the playoffs if they lose 3-0, Wegiel loses exactly 3-1, and Berlin, Chaumont, and Maaseik all win their matches which is a hilariously unlikely event

Quoted from "scarpetta" Congrats @Bahkawdi you discovered America again Haha just saying teams don't do it enough in the SuperLega. Also, Chaumont should be winning this match but Boyer is completely shitting the bed and they can't hit a serve.

Knack Roeselare served Juantorena 37 times compared to 18 for the rest of the team combined (and only 4 to Grebbenikov). He only passed 14% on those and made 5 errors. Teams in Italy should be taking note

The Lube vs. Knack Roeselare match is getting so heated. And they are serving every single ball to Juantorena it's hilarious

Quoted from "scarpetta" Of course Walsh , me Walsh is a true baller, great setter and only going to get better. IMO Monza should have been starting him sooner
