CEV Champions League 2019

WorldOfVolley reports, that the technical timeouts are no more in all CEV competitions from now on - here in CL this is reasonable, I think, because of the video challenge system, but is this an improvement for the other competitions?

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Yes, Zoltan Terzic was alway playing very tactically in World Grand Prix and continues this in VNL now. I'm not even sure, if he wants to get to the final tournament in Nanjing, he intentionally avoided it in Grand Prix sometimes in the past. Germany is usually more in the winning trial attitude, despite also rests some players now. But it is not that important this time, because they also are a core team, so they will stay herein for sure... Regarding Japan: this tends to be a long match typica...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2018/2019

Quoted from "Visitor" Latest information about a new hall for volleyball in Aachen (German): https://www.ptsv-aachen.de/de/verein/akt…park-soers.html If they finish this project in time (defined by VBL), this would indeed save the Aachen team Ladies in Black.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

After the two first days, still early in a competition of 15 match days, it seems, that both Italy and USA have serious issues. Turkey did well, China and Serbia are continuing to dominate it seems. Russia will be tested by Netherlands today...

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2018/2019

Quoted from "SHAME" Good move for Sarah. She picked the wrong club last season, staying always on bench. Basically it will be her real first pro season. Okay, let us hope the best, I just read positive opionions regarding her, so I thought, this is a positive decision by Stuttgart. But it is reasonable to change, if you barely get playing times, to another club with better chances for it.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2018/2019

Sarah Wilhite (USA) comes from Busto Arsizio to Stuttgart and completes the attack (OH). In my view these attackers of Stuttart are rather dangerous (especially Rivers, Poll, Wilhite, Sandor) and signals Schwerin and Dresden once again, that we want to win the championship...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "LLOYD" Quoted from "Canter" Quoted from "StefanS" Even considering, that injured Natalia was missing at Brazil and Maren Fromm (born Brinker) made one of her better games in the last time and fully used her experience, this was a historic victory for German NT in Brazil, after a very long streak of defeats in international competitions against them. Fine blocking and very good overall gameplay. Maybe Brazil was too sure to win especially after the one-sided first set? when was the ...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Very good performance now by the German team - to be honest, in this group I didn't expect them to take any point at all. The match results statistics of the past years can't be called anything else but kind of catastrophe both against Brazil and Japan, and Serbia is now extremely strong. I hope, they can make place 10 or so and have not to rely on being one of the core teams, to stay in this competition...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

By the way, I'm deeply impressed by the post-match statistics - how they can make any (active) point, when nobody receives or digs? This is the worst start possible in several regards, which the FIVB could made with this (half-)new competition... .

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

FIVB is currently all about business. I'm not surprised, that they try to earn money this way, but this can indeed be a drawback in the mid-to-long run for them due to limited access. We will see, if and how this works out, but for sure it is still varying largely what you can view (legally) in one country from another.

Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2018/2019

Quoted from "ThomasHH" Lena Möllers to Dresden https://www.facebook.com/dscvolley/photo…1572022/?type=3 Also on their website: http://www.dresdnersportclub.de/news/ver…elt-an-die-elbe German NT setter was in the last season with Alba Blaj in final of CL - but likely used to not playing always, I guess. Because of course like Bugg before here playing time compared to Apitz will be likely limited. And this way Dresden ensures, that they will have always one German player at court at least (both s...

Let us hope, they can build a financially sufficiently well prepared team for A1 in Chieri, coming back now a number of years the last time playing there.

Friendly NT Matches

Quoted from "sitenoise" In the Frendly Game between Italy and Japan on May 10, Italy apparently told "9 incorrect jokes" battute sbagliate Source Anyone know of a source to watch that game? For the supported languages (only 9 so far, but Italian included) prefer deepl.com against google and bing translators, I propose.
