2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "pope" I was gonna write that I don`t think Koga will get there as she`s 25 already.....but then I decided to check her age to make sure.....and she just turned 22 yesterday...Ok I guess there`s time still.. Hopefully Kurogo develops a bit quicker..... Some players develop better at a later age. I'm sure most of us desperately cheer for players we like to develop at a younger age and be a beast and be winning titles and awards at early 20s, but sometimes it simply does not happen. T...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "ossubtus" who was the tall OH that kiraly used as libero last year? wilhite? guidetti only speaks in english to the girls, do they all know english well enough to understand him? Yeah. There was also Megan Courtney, but if I remember correctly, he also moved her to the libero position. ETA: I misread your post, sorry. Yeah, it was Megan. Wilhite never played libero (yet...)

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "ossubtus" Quoted from "pope" I just started watching SRB vs THA right now... ( I don`t know the result)...Mihajlovic-Boskovic started ...I will laugh so hard if they play all 3 sets...(I`m assuming it ended in 3 because it is only 1h 30m). Quoted from "pope" and Rasic is playing as well... OMG....there`s no need to have Rasic-Boskovic-MIhajlovic against Thailand.... just let Mina Popovic, Busa and Milenkovic play...just give me the same line they played against Brazil after the 2nd...

Quoted from "Canter" let me learn about your favorite match tomorrow ? mine : Ned - Usa > who wins ? i consider usa slightly fav. also : Ita- Ger Kor - Rus >who wins? Jap - Bel >who wins ? NED-USA is indeed the best on paper, but the other three you mentioned also might be fun. I'm particularly curious about KOR-RUS.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Rewatching a few highlights from the TUR-BRA match and it reminded me of how much potential Drussyla has. Coming from a local, low-level team to the Brazilian champions, working on the bench, winning the starter spot in the toughest play-offs series that Brazil's seen in ages and then finally playing a full year as starter and doing her job wonderfully in the NT, albeit with a few ups and downs commom to her age, all at 20/21. Sure Europe's been producing a lot of great up-and-coming stars and w...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "Matthias" Slightly off-topic: the award for the ugliest shirts definitely goes to Team USA It looks like they simply took the cheapest available. It literally looks like they took a basic t-shirt and went with it. It's horrible. With the fourth round done, I gotta say: I'm pleasantly surprised with Poland and Belgium so far this year. Sure it'll be a tough (if not unlikely) battle to win a spot in the F6, but seems reasonable to say they'll avoid relegation this year. Smarzek, Herb...

Usa Nt 2018

Quoted from "Rains" Hodge-Easy had a complete rupture of the achilles tendon last year in Serie A. Lucarelli had the same injury and he's still not back. Yeah, that's not an easy injury to recover from. She's probably not ready to come back full-time yet.

Quoted from "Rains" Ebrar's percentage of kills is not exactly that groundbreaking to say she would have helped in beating Brazil. I hope some of yall give more credit to Brazil for the great game they've shown. 100% impossible.

Quoted from "Matthias" You guys sound as if Ebrar had already proved to be the next big thing. She surely is a very talented player but I don't think she could have done great things today against this experienced Brazil team. It could have been good for her personal development to get to play though... I was about to comment the exact same thing, but I'm glad it's already been posted... Y'all talking about Brazil's defense and while I agree to some extent (Suellen was great!), there were way t...

CEV European League 2018

Quoted from "Matthias" I just saw that Hungary's starting OPP Szedmak is only 16 years old (born September 2001) She performed very well and not at all like a 16 year old girl, I'd never have estimated her being that young Knowing this I think she's a great prospect. She is SIXTEEN? I thought she was an older pro. lol

CEV European League 2018

Quoted from "Matthias" Quoted from "saishuu" I'm watching HUN-FRA for whatever reason and I have a genuine question: how is France still not able to put together a decent team? Do they really not invest in female volleyball all that much? I've been asking myself the very same question, especially considering they have a fairly strong domestic league Yeah, that's exactly why! No disrespect to them whatsoever, but they seem like an amateur team. Plenty of teams without a league as strong as the F...

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors and Discussion

Quoted from "LDvolley" You have no idea what you're talking about, he made Argentina into a MUCH better team. Argentina under Weber used to struggle against Germany or Bulgaria B, now they can win games against Russia, Brazil or Serbia. Before he had also done the same with Iran. Argentina lost at the olympics because they simply faced the best team too early. Agreed. Argentina could've been a threat to any of the other teams in Rio. And I'm with Velasco in thinking Cebulj and Bednorz are not e...
