Serbian NT 2018

Bošković, Veljković, Silvija Popović and Antonijević won't be going to Argentina, as well as Terzić. Mirković, Buša, Lozo, Jovičić and Lazović join the team. Glad to know Bošković can take some rest and recompose herself. The number of swings and errors she made this week is terrifying (135 swings , 21 errors amd gpt blocked 17 times against Italy and NED combined). It is frustrating to see they could have won the games but couldn't take them cos the setter always went to Bošković even though th...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "JoanaBG" Brankica Mihajlović has been dealing with a knee injury for the last two weeks and it got worse in the match against Turkey. She's stayed in Belgrade to do some additional medical check-ups and get some more therapy and will be travelling to the Netherlands tomorrow. She'll be with the team, but it's not sure how much she'll play. Mihajlović won't be playing this week due to injury. Who will be added to the roster to replace her?

Poland - Liga Siatkówki Kobiet 2017/18

Pretty much a one-sided match today between Chemik and Developres. Chemik committed too many errors and were quite slow in their defence. Even if they picked up the ball, the connections were terrible to score points from counterattacks. I hope the coach tries putting Smarzek as OPP and Busa/Medrzyk as OHs together on the court for once to see how it works....

Poland - Liga Siatkówki Kobiet 2017/18

Quoted from "StefanS" Still Chemik Police is far from being that superior as last season, they lost even a set at home against Muszyna, both first and second set were extremely close and lengthened, only in third set the favourite won convincingly so far. They had a 7-point lead (18-11) in the first set and they were leading 24-21 in the second set, not sure what happened especially in the first set. I guess reception is a big concern for them this season and setter is another issue. I wonder w...

Serbian NT 2017

I hope Mirkovic can do some wonders at the ECH. As a fan only started following the team this summer, I don't know much details about the team but I think the OH lineup is weak. I wish Busa and Malesevic would step up their game in offense to share Mihajlovic's responsiblities. SInce they are not the powerhouse hitter type, they should work on developing their skills in attacks. It seems Mihaljlovic is not in great form due to her injury

Japanese NT 2017

Quoted from "sitenoise" Quoted from "shadowman007" While Ishii Yuki, Horikawa and Matsumoto are in Manila with the team, Miyashita is back in Okayama. She is the roster for the qualification of the National Sports Event on August 20. I'm not sure if she will train with the team for the Grand Champions Cup after that. Does that mean she is already done? I hate that Okayama Seagulls is not letting her go. I saw the three of them sitting in the stands and wondered where Haruka was. So this "Nation...

Women's World Grand Prix 2017

Serbia probably has the strongest line-up on paper and power, but the team lacks techniques, tenacity and consistency that can help them win any titles. Poor Boskovic

Japanese NT 2017

Quoted from "sitenoise" I think I read somewhere that Miyashita started out as an outside hitter and was transitioned to setter by ... Manabe? Maybe she'll transition back and fill in at setter if/when needed. She was transitioned to setter by Kawamoto, coach of Okayama Seagulls, when she was scouted and joined the team. Miyashita is also my favourite. I hope she will perform better this weekend.

Quoted from "sitenoise" Has Nakaoji retired or is she going somewhere else? I like her. No further information if she will join other teams in the future. Quoted from "sitenoise" I"ve only ever seen the 18 player list on that jav.or.jp site. Maybe I haven't looked at the right time. You just need to scroll down to the very end of the page and you will see this table http://imgur.com/a/q2Ddm Those who are going to play the WGP are marked with a circle.

Japanese NT 2017

Quoted from "sitenoise" Japan gets to play them twice! I thought someone posted the roster here but all I can find is the 18 For the roster of the WGP each week. JVA usually updates the roster on this page http://www.jva.or.jp/index.php/internati…randprix/member on Thursday or Friday morning. I think Tominaga will become the main setter in this Olympic cycle. She is Nakada's favourite out of the three. Her performance during the first weekend lived up to the expectations. As for Miyashita, I do...

Yes, Oumi and Sagawa are retired and Emiliya Nikolova only played there for the past season. (http://w-volley.necsports.net/topics_detail1/id=1321) Rina Sho has joined PFU Bluecats for the next season. The NT is going to play two friendly matches against Team Eurosped in the Netherlands, one on Saturday and one on Monday, in preparation for the WGP.
