FIVB VNL Challenger Cup

Thailand and Korea cannot be replaced as they are among the "core teams" with guaranteed places. Belgium seems to be going through a generation change, which is a bit weird considering most of their key players aren't that old. I agree that not hosting a tournament was in poor form, but I think that with this squad they've done about as well as they could. They definitely were not the weakest team of the competition.

Mediterranean Games - Tarragona 2018

Quoted from "ossubtus" it’s not in the mediterranean. Quoted from "pope" Why no Serbia? Serbia is actually able to participate, and will do so in a lot of other sports. Not in volleyball though, as the competition is probably not deemed as important enough, and it overlaps with the VNL F6 anyway.

Brankica won't for sure, she had a surgery on her knee and will be out for at least two months. There's still hope she'll be ready for WCh.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

The Americans were probably still a bit winded from their exhausting trip, but I also don't think they expected this much resistance from this Serbian team. It was a rather nice surprise to see them play so freely and fearlessly, and it was a bit of a throwback to the days of 2006-07 and having a balanced hitter trio. Živković is still making life miserable for her MBs, but she finally managed to remember (for the most part ) that Mihajlović is not on the court and gave some faster balls to Blag...

Quoted from "tunc" There was a Serbian channel which I can not find now. It was working perfectly. http://www.sipragezabava.com/sport-klub-3-uzivo.html or http://www.uživo.com/Sport-Klub-3-uzivo-stream

CEV Champions League 2019

Somewhat unexpectedly, Vizura decides to withdraw and not take place in CL or any European competitions next season. I guess the money is running thin there.

Serbian NT 2018

It should be enough for Argentina and Korea. I just wish they weren't playing USA first, they're going to get slaughtered and it might affect their morale. Apart from the setters' performance and Mihajlović's injury, another worrying thing is Veljković's form. She hasn't played a single really good match in these four weeks.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Terzić is actually happy about yesterday's disaster, because the first two sets and most of the third were good. Uhm, OK then. Yes, it was a really good performance for a while, but in volleyball it's not over until it's over. The team totally lost the plot after being in the winning position, it should never happen and there's nothing to feel good about. Maybe he's trolling us.

Brankica is out for the rest of the VLN, so I'm not sure what Terzić's plan is going to be now. Chasing a medal at the F6 seems like a long shot and perhaps it would be for the best not to kill oneself over it and instead try out as many players and options as possible.

Serbian NT 2018

Awful news: Brankica Mihajlović needs to undergo a minor knee surgery and will definitely be out for the rest of the VLN. Fortunately, she should be ready to play by WCh. Obviously this is a very big blow to Serbia's chances and I don't think they'll win a medal now. Still, if there's something good about this, is that the rest of the team will now be forced to learn to manage without her and try out some new things. Maybe they'll figure something out.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Serbia pretty much has an open path to the F6 with the matches against Argentina and KYK-less Korea, but I'm so pissed off right now that I almost wish they don't make it. Yes, Brankica's absence was a big blow, but both matches were extremely winnable even without her. It's so frustrating how unclutch they have become lately. And that lazy ass attitude, with not even half the grit ITA and NED have shown.

Serbian NT 2018

But that is not Terzić's plan. He always insists on varied play and setting to the MBs, in off- court interviews and in-game timeouts. Always. He was furious after the game vs Italy saying a team that relies only on one single player doesn't deserve to win. The problems is that the setters currently cannot perform. Živković's connection with her MBs has always been shaky, right now it's downright tragic. Some of her sets in the match vs Dominican Republic were simply embarrassing. Antonijević se...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "ossubtus" terzic is a funny guy, but i haven't seen him be a total dick yet. There was this one time. WCh '06, Serbia vs Korea. It was a relatively uneventful match, smooth sailing for Serbia, leading all the way without much fuss. At a technical time-out Terzić just tells them to keep their focus, keep pounding the ball away like they're doing and don't try to be cute. RIght next point, Nikolić gets a perfect set, but for some reason she decides to tip the ball instead of spiking....

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Brankica Mihajlović has been dealing with a knee injury for the last two weeks and it got worse in the match against Turkey. She's stayed in Belgrade to do some additional medical check-ups and get some more therapy and will be travelling to the Netherlands tomorrow. She'll be with the team, but it's not sure how much she'll play.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "Sisko95" I would have thought tennis is hugely popular as well, no? For such a small country to have 3 different female world number 1s as well as one of the greatest of all-time men (Djokovic) and women (Seles) is truly remarkable. It's actually not, and certainly wasn't at the time Đoković and the gang were starting out. There's been a tennis boom a sort since, but that sport is still way too expensive for most people to pick it up. I don't think there's any rational explanation ...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "Janko" I think having this golden generation* at his disposal has made Terzic a lot more apprehensive/reluctant at testing new players while still in their "teens" since 2014/2015. Prior to that, he regularly included players still in their second decade even on the biggest competitions who would go on to become world-class players. Spasojevic and Djerisilo since they were 19(though that was a different time, prior to any success of our NT); Veljkovic and Boskovic since they were 1...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "Janko" Terzic's resistance to trying out Katarina Lazovic is really starting to get on my nerves! It's starting to look so ridiculous that I'm not even sure she will play if/when they send a B team to Week 5. I thought we'd see her as well. Perhaps she's been injured. It does make sense that she'll not play next week as they want to clinch the F6 spot so the main squad will be going to the Netherlands. And if it happens, I do believe she'll be going to Argentina if fit. And hey, he...
