2018 Volleyball Nations League (VNL)

Russia possibly could still lose all their games this week: Italy, USA, France and they can be out of contention in Final 6. But Italy will need to win all three games as well for them to have a chance to qualify. Is Zaystev and Juantorena confirmed to play 5th week? If not, then Russia just needs to win against Italy and they are secured of their spot. Off-topic, I saw the replay of Poland-Serbia and I must say Kochanowksi is such a talented MB for his age. If he develops well as a player, I th...

Has it been confirmed that Jacque will be converted back to OH to replace Drussyla in Final 6? From the few games I saw her in Barueri, I think she is still capable as OH and can still help the team.

This Russian group seems to have fun and really enjoy themselves. It's amazing how Volkov-Vlasov-Poletaev who played together in the junior team, now has their spot in senior NT. Or maybe Poletaev is still question mark

Quoted from "ravhin2j3" Wow, it's really convenient when you're as tall as Musersky. There's tall, then really tall, then Muserskiy And he's so well coordinated for someone his height.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "Wojtek13" Quoted from "inc0gnito" Smarzek is listed as 191cm, but she looks at least 194-195cm when she is beside Kakolewska From a long time I also wondering if she is not more than 191cm high... Voronkova is 190cm and from the looks of it Smarzek is a few inches taller than her so maybe you're right

Russian NT 2018

With the way Lyubushkina is playing atm, I think she has secured her spot for WCH if not as starting MB, she is a good bench player or as serving sub. In hindsight, I’m glad Goncharova decided to skip VNL entirely I can only imagine she would be overworked more than the usual good fortitude by her and the coach. Speaking of Russian liberos, I wonder who is Russia’s best alternative to Malova if they go the two libero route. In my opinion, Kryuchkova needs to be invited back for WCH to stabilize ...

2018 Volleyball Nations League (VNL)

Quoted from "Ryu Takamiya" Vlasov out please. I wonder what's wrong with him he played better last year. When Vlasov is in the front row, Russia has a gaping hole in the center because he is at the wrong position or late when going up for the block, makes silly mistakes in attack, I think Rains is right he is the male version of Efimova in Russian NT. I think he is one of the coach's favorite as he was part of that youth team that the Russian coach managed in the past. In my opinion, Kurkaev wo...

http://www.volley.ru/news/17908/ => According to this, it seems Poletaev is nursing an injury at the moment but he hopes Mikhaylov, Volvich, and Poletaev can join in the future. Maybe if they qualify to Final 6? I hope the coach knows Poletaev will not have much playing time if Mikhaylov returns to the team In my opinion, Mikhaylov can skip VNL altogether so as Russia do not play all their cards.

Russian NT 2018

Quoted from "Diesse14" Maybe I lost something, but there are no possibilities for Kosheleva to come back for WCH? From what I read, she won't have enough time to recover from her injury and train for WCH. Voronkova can somehow take her role in the team as offensive OH.

NED is so lucky they have Plak as backup if Sloetjes is having a bad day, how many top teams have that luxury in the OPP position no less EDIT: And even the setter position too!

I think Bellen is Netherland's most complete MB, can hit the slide AND in front of the setter, has a somewhat good serve, and most importantly she knows how to block something Robin de Kruiff is lacking in this element

Only a small group of MBs know how to block Boskovic: Rasic, Eda, Adenizia and we can add Bellen to that list..

Quoted from "Canter" Turkey has to handle the last match of the week safe and sound to keep its chance alive..Korea's main difference from Japan and Thailand is its better block.also KYK I think Turkey can beat Korea, considering Turkey beat Japan, and Japan beat Korea

Quoted from "Canter" Quoted from "inc0gnito" Quoted from "Canter" Smarzek,Boşkoviç and Egonu should be some of the best blocking OPPs in the world Goncharova is actually the best blocking OPP right now even moreso than Boskovic. But Smarzek is really good too for a newcomer. i forgot Goncharova...lets add her to the list too..couldd she really be the best ?...do you remember some stats/records from her at the major tournaments ? Not pretty recent, but in WGP 2015 & 2016 she is included in Top 1...
