Men's World Championship 2018

Quoted from "fufighter" HI, I know this question has been asked before. Anybody have news update about where or when are they gonna sell the ticket for Semi and Final in Turin? Im leaving outside Europe and intend to fly there just for this. I have to book flight (at least 2 flights since i have to connect from rome - turin) and hotel. And it would be disater to book a flight then cant find the ticket anywhere untill last moment. I do some google and found some guy post in his instragram since ...

Japan - V.Premier League 2017-2018

Quoted from "sitenoise" I see that Akane Ukishima, #19 on Hisamitsu has requested a transfer. I saw her play a few games during one of those one-off tournaments this spring. She's a lefty OPP, 22 years old, only 172cm but she impressed me. I mentioned earlier I'd like to see her move to a team where she'd get playing time, as she is unlikely to crack the Hisamitsu lineup. Only downside is that playing for Hisamitsu is better chance of making NT. Good luck to her. Would she ever get playing time...

Japan - V.Premier League 2017-2018

Quoted from "SHAME" Quoted from "came" Quoted from "SHAME" Is this the season that teams have to change their names and put the cities instead of the companies? Probably Teams will still have company names, but probably city names will be included (documentation says local names, but the league needs sponsors and the teams are around because of companies). Nothing official yet, probably wait for the break between the VNL and World Championships.

2018 Volleyball Nations League (VNL)

Japan's lack of points will kill their chances as every team in front of them has more wins and points. Still have a possibility but need a ton of help. Basically whoever can get to 9 wins should be in. USA at 10, Russia at 9 and both have point advantages over teams behind them. Brazil are all but in with a win, as Poland would be too. Serbia need wins, as an Italy win combined with a Serbia loss puts the Italians in front of them and on points too. Canada needs Italy and Serbia to lose as Pola...

Blue Rockets were the Men’s team that NEC had, before killing the team in the 2000s. They also have rugby team known as the Green Rockets that still plays.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

USA has to pay for matches now. Subscription service is through Flovolleyball and they had just signed a 3 year deal for VNL. At least with NBC some matches were broadcast on cable. Now no cable. FIVB is shooting them selves in the foot in their biggest sponsor markets.

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

On talent alone the USA team is already top 5-6 range. This is due to the volume of players in college who continue to play professionally. If people were complaining about last season's WGP finish then they have issues as USA Volleyball always looks at a four year cycle. If Foluke doesn't get an injury in the semifinal in 2016, USA probably gets to the gold medal match against China. Logan Tom had been on the national team for so long, to believe that she would have been a help in 2014 or 16 wo...

Japan - V.Premier League 2017-2018

With only one foreign player per roster it is a waste of money for a foreign libero no matter how good they are. A middle blocker or opposite provide a much better return than a libero. Remember teams can choose not to serve to the libero.

Kotoe Inoue, the JT libero will also leave JT now. JT will have a big hole to fill with Okumura leaving as well. Is it the coach or wanting to play in a tougher league for 2020 Olympics?

Japanese NT 2018

Koga had a really bad 2016 season and Manabe left her home for the Rio games. Arita Sato was dropped from the national team by Nakada this year and with Hitachi playing so badly this year, it really changed her thoughts about the team and possibly the sport. With her former teammates Saori Kimura and Sakoda seemingly enjoying life off the court, Arisa might want some time off.

Chinese Male Superleague 2017/2018 [Nov.5 - Apr.XX]

Michal Kubiak appears to be loaned to Beijing for the Final. I've looked on the V.League's page and the Panasonic Panthers page and he is still on those pages.

Japanese NT 2018

Use the term kill percentage for the stats you are showing. Take out the hitting errors in the column next to kills and then divide by total swings for hitting percentage. Imamura basically was interchangeable for Nomoto. If you put her on a team like Hitachi, I don’t think her numbers would be as good. Just my opinion. She is essentially playing with the national team on Hisamitsu. Reception numbers are low but I think that she is playing as opposite/passer. Hisamitsu can swap positions between...

Japan - V.Premier League 2017-2018

Quoted from "sitenoise" Quoted from "brahmin" Ohbayashi was on the right, but it is Tominaga Cool! Thanks She must have been a special guest for the Final. Leaves me in the dark as to who was commentating all season with Ohbayashi. Whomever it was really added to my enjoyment of the games. Ohbayashi usually only gets called up for the bigger tournaments. This match was on NHK and not the normal broadcast channel Gaora (Cable) and DAZN (onlline only).

Japan - V.Premier League 2017-2018

Quoted from "sitenoise" These are the two women who have brought me much joy in commentating the V.League matches. The woman on the right is, I believe, Motoko Obayashi. The woman on the left looks a bit like Koyomi Tominaga (but it's not). Ohbayashi was on the right, but it is Tominaga. I saw the note on the video in Japanese. Ohbayashi is basically the women’s voice of Japanese volleyball any time anywhere. I have not seen a reason for Inoue being replaced on the all-star team.
