2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Quoted from "losta" serbia had a lot of problem without mihajlovic. and now they wont have boskovic. i think anybody can beat this serbia. italy may qualify for final six if they could beat brazil. I really don't see Serbia losing to Argentina...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
Match of the week: Turkey - Netherland Not only is it a crucial match to get a spot in final 6 for both teams, but also because of the drama
Does it matter which place you end up as long as you are in the top 5? Italy could technically still get 5th place, but it seems very unlikely. If they win all their home matches this week (including Brasil on the last day), they end up with 30 points. Brasil, Serbia and Turkey only need one win to get 31 points (shouldn't be a problem sinc...

Russian NT 2018

My Russian team for WCH: OH: Voronkova, Shcherban, Khodunova, Kotikova MB: Koroleva, Fetisova, Efimova OPP: Goncharova, Malygina (for double sub with Startseva... or try Petrova...) S: Vetrova, Startseva L: Ulanova, Kryuchkova I think Russia should mainly play with the Dinamo Moscow team. They played pretty well in the playoffs...

IMHO Voronkova is the only player who secured a spot in WC team. MB's and Parubets are okay but not irreplaceable. Rest mediocre at best...

Kutyukova playing libero position. Not the worst idea since she has the best reception stats in super league.

Kotikova is a decent receiver. I don't think they should use her as opposite. Malygina is inconsistent and always looks a bit awkward on court... But as long as Goncharova is playing the position of the second OPP is almost irrelevant... I hope Shcherban an Krotkova will join the team in July.

2018 / 2019 Transfer Rumors & Discussion

Quoted from "volleyball22" Quoted from "LLOYD" Everyone here said that even Voronkova won't stay in Kazan next year, maybe Kazan do not want to keep her in their team. Maybe it was not choice of Voronkova, it was choice of Kazan to get rid of her Voronkova is young and tallented. Why would they want to get rid of her? I think Voronkova's move was more about Kaliningrad than Kazan. The team looks pretty strong and they seem to have the money for it. Main reason is probably the coach (Voronkova's...

2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League

Any info on broadcasting? It says on http://www.volleyball.world/en/vnl/news/…l-you?id=73891: "• For the first time the FIVB, in partnership with IMG, will bring its broadcast distribution in-house. This allows the FIVB total control of the quality and ensures that the standard of broadcasting will be consistently world class. • The Volleyball Nations League will take the sport of volleyball all over the world, allowing more people access to live sport than ever before! Russia - Superliga 2017/18

Quoted from "Rains" Goncharova speaks out about the lack of competitiveness in the Russian League. volleymob I hope more female players share their piece of mind on this issue because the league is boring. They should try to adapt or they will kill the league if they stay like that. I have three suggestions: One: Some teams need to relocate to closer cities so they could bunch up teams with one another to make travel more efficient. Teams like Sakhalin should be disbanded because the distance f...

Russian NT 2018

Odd list... There are several players I never heard of... I guess some of them will be used in the Volleyball Nations League. Montreux is 3 weeks ahead of the WC, so they might not use B-Team this time. I hope they will try some "new" setters (Ryseva, Novik and Anufrienko), but Vetrova and Startseva will probably get the spots. I really hope that Pankova will be left out (not even sure she was better than Ryseva this season at Zarechie...). Opposite is obviously Goncharova. Do they even need a s...

Russia - Superliga 2017/18

Quoted from "StefanS" For next season there is a new superleague team: Lokomotiv Kaliningrad (the former Königsberg): http://www.worldofvolley.com/News/Latest…aliningrad.html The roster sounds interesting, this team should be capable of playing in the middle of the league with chances to qualify for European Cups. Good news! Roster sounds good, but sad to see Voronkova leave Kazan... Today the finals start. I think Kazan is a slight favorite even without Vasileva (assuming Kotikova can repeat t...
