World League 2007

Oh, you are rude, don't you think... :?
No, I don't listen the bulgarian commentator because I don't like him so I decrease the volume of the TV. And it's different when you are in the hall and when you watch the match on the TV.

Why I suppose to be rude? If i would like to offend you, you wouldn't have any doubts about it, believe me. It's not my fault that you didn't understand me.
And why are you writing about commentator? I didn't say anything like that. I was just talking about FANS which you can SEE and HEAR(whistling, roaring etc.) in TV not only in the hall.
We'd better stop this discussion, because it doesn't make sense.

    I agree with sNeige.

Stoev obviously did not want to run his best possible team against Poland. To me he simply wanted to avoid the fight for now. There would be plenty of really more important confrontations between Poland and Bulgaria in the coming year. and these ones won't have much value comparing to the most probably upcoming fights for EC medals, OG qualifications and of course the WL finals next month.

Hmm, that's your opinion. I think French don't take WL serious too, because they won't play in Final, if they don't get the "wild card" for example :wink2: Am I right?

Her point was that she was not able to hear the crowd because she turned down the sound of her TV to avoid boring commentaries.

And for the French I fear it's not because they did not take the WL seriously enough that they failed to reach the final, but more because of Blain's choices.
The team has not enough experience. If Antiga can't play and Granvorka is not in good shape, France is really far from the Olympic level. And that's because of Blain's choices to always bring new young players in the team, firing players one after another when they only were getting a little international experience!
France already had one of the youngest team in the last world championship, and Blain somehow managed to bring a younger opposite and two younger wingspikers!
We'll see if he made the good choice if France play well at the OG next year, but I fear that his choices will make the qualification to the OG very tough for France... :?

    Antiga can't play

You might be right about nSneige, but it is strange for me, watching the game without any sounds.
It's interesting what you have written about your team. It's normal that your'e worried about your players, but in my opinion they are playing fine volleyball, better than Italy(although you lot once last weekend) for exampleMaybe that what your coach wants will work in the future?
By the way, why can't Antiga play? I"m interested, because he wiill be playing in Skra Bełchatów next season, as you probably know.

For me not (: When vollyball matches was in TVP I always watched them without sounds, only with music. And I know that many ppl made the same

  • Vlado Nikolov and Matey Kaziyski will not play this weekend against Poland.
I suppose that Yordanov will replace Vlado and this will be good for him because he did't train for 3 weeks and he must recover his good shape.

And me, I will watch the games without sound. :P

  • I heard that Winiarski is injured.
I like his play very much. :D

Justyna, it's there any polish volleyball sites in english? When I read your language I understand a little but not mutch and there is a lot of information on your sites.

No, unfortunately we don't have any volleyball sites in english :(

And HERE is some pics from training before tomorrow's match.

  • First match between Poland and Bulgaria in Katowice 3:1 (22-25 25-23 25-22 25-16) for Poland

In final World League will be play: Brazil, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia, USA and team with 'wild card' (I think that France will get 'wild card')

    Pools in final:
    E
    Poland
    USA
    wild card
    F
    Brazil
    Russia
    Bulgaria

  • "Wild card" for France was easy to predict. There were a lot of rumours about it.On the other hand, it is difficult to say whether they deserved that or maybe Cuba, which was second in strong group with Russia and Serbia. But this FIVB's choice isn't as controversial as giving "wild card" to Italy last year. I think France should show some good volleyball in the final in Katowice.

  • 10x a lot, Justyna. :D

I congratulate Poland for the great athmosphere in the hall and the perfect organisation of the games. :wink2:

  • The 12 Bulgarian players for the final phase:

    Setters: Andrey Zhekov, Ivan Zarev
Spikers: Matey Kaziyski, Plamen Konstantinov, Todor Aleksiev, Metodi Ananiev

Middle blockers: Hristo Tsvetanov, Krasimir Gaydarski, Nikolay Nikolov
    Libero: Teodor Salparov

Ananiev took the place of Kostadin Stoykov in the last moment because Stoykov had a gastritis attack. :?

I'm sceptical about the performance of our team at the finals but I hope that they will controvert me.
