I see that in Bulgaria is maaany players with the same surname. I think that the most popular are Ivanov and Dimitrov

Lukoil Neftochimic is the new champions of Bulgaria. Levski is dethroned!
Lukoil Neftochimic is the name of the new Men's volleyball champion of Bulgaria. The team from Bourgas dethroned the champions from Levski Siconco from the last 8 years and this happened in of the Levski's fans in their "Siconco" Hall in Sofia. Lukoil did that after a 3:1 victory (21:25; 28:26; 26:28; 12:25) and with 3:0 wins in the series they took the title.
Lukoil stated the game better, they looked more motivated and calm, whereas the Blue team were tense and made lots of errors. The team coached by Severin Dimitrov took a lead in the result since the very beginning of the set and kept this lead till the end of the first part - 25:21. Lukoil's player received well and served very strong which gave a chance for their block to work well.
The second game started in the same way as the first one and Lukoil was leading at both technical time outs - 8:5 and 16:14. The first equality came at 19:19 each. After an incredible drama and some good rallies, Levski grabbed the set with 28:26 and the result was 1:1 sets each.
Lukoil started in the best way the third set winning the first 4 points in it. The Blue team little by little decreased their opponent's lead and tied up the resutl at 12:12. Then the it was played point by point till 26:26. Nikolay Nikolov and Vasil Stoyanov were unstoppable by Levski's block in this part of the game that turned out to be decisive for the outcome of the match and the series as a whole. The set went to the team from the seaside after 28:26.
The fourth set was just a parody of the quality volleyball that was played in the previous three sets. Martin Stoev left at the bench his most experienced players- Krasimir Gaydarski and Konstantin Mitev and gave a chance to play to the twins Bratoevi. In the game entered Kovatchev and Shabanliiski but all of them didn't justify the trust in them and Levski lost catastrophically the set- 25:12. On the other side of the net , everything was just perfect with the good setting by Ivan Stanev, good blocks and attacks by the Lukoil trio Nikolov, Stoyanov and Samunev.
That way, for the first time the champions of Bulgaria is not named Levski Siconco, but Lukoil Neftochimic. It is interesting that 31% of the people that have taken part in our poll have guessed the right result from the Final series- 3:0 for Lukoil.
The most valueable player of the Final was Nikolay Nikolov scoring 19 points. He was well assisted by Vasil Stoyanov who finished with 17 points and Petyr Hristov who ended up with 10 points.
For Levski, Valentin Bratoev and Metody Ananiev finished respectively with 14 and 13 points.

Our national league is not so strong like the italian or russian, but there are good teams and in the future they will be great. Four team according to me have chances for the title: of course the champions- Lukoil Neftohimic, Levski Siconco (after the WL 2007 some players from Levski went to another teams in Russia and Iatly, which is good for their career), Pirin Balkanstroi (great atmosphere in their hall, they are form little mountain town - Razlog, the fans are absolutely supportive) and Marek Union Ivkoni which also is a good team.

The championship will be very interesting this year. You'll see.
