    i don't know the official website of this tournament too but yesterday i unexpectedly found broadcast live of this match. main player of russia are Fateeva (#4), Safronova (#7), Sedova (#10), Pasynkova (#12) and Startseva (#13, setter) and other one is change every set for example Kosheleva (#15) , Irisova (#16) and who wear shirt no.2 that i don't know her name.


    in 1st set Cuba has many error so russia get 21 point, 2nd set russia make many points by spike from Fateeva, Safronova, Pasynkova and Kosheleva but Cuba has very few error, and 3rd set Fateeva and Safronova make many point from spike but Russia team have a problem with block!!!! They can't block spike of Cuba !!!!

    #2 shirt possibly belongs to the new blocker called Murtazaeva (maiden name Kostantinova)...who was born in 1981 with a height of 191cm...she was playing in CSKA Moscow Club last season with Bukreeva and Kurnosova...

    I see. Thanks for that information. So glad you shared that. That gave me an idea. So the main spikers are Fateeva, Safronova and Pasynkova. Who does the reception since two of these players (Pasynkova and Fateeva) play the non-receiving position in the Russian League? If Kosheleva enters to the game, does she occupy the middle position? Because the hitter positions are already occupied. Or maybe one of the three hitters you mentioned is the one substituted?



    So Startseva is the main setter? I thought it was Akulova. So this would probably mean that Startseva would occupy the sub-setter in the Olympics since she was the one given much opportunity in this tournament. I think it is kinda late to do that. Akulova should have the exposure. Or maybe she just played terribly.

    i dont think startseva has chance to take akulova's place....coz she plays no better than akulova...

    Has anyone recorded this match?? i find out that NTV will also show that match, not only NTV+. But it is not live and shown in another time?? can anyone record the matches in NTV?? It is a free cahnnel rather than a payable channel-NTV+. I don't know recording device and I hope someone can record the matches of Russia to us.....

    I couldn't watch matches.But i know our team played without Maksimenko and Yelena Parkhomenko(injured).Instead of them played young players.Rahimova and Karimova(both 1990).

    May be it is difficult to record the matches, BUT If anyone who can watch the matches of RUSSIAN TEAM, can I ask you to CAP some Pictures (use print screen button to cap) to let us know which players were on the court?


    Russia fans are eager to see their performance such as Pasynkova, Kosheleva, Startseva and some new face.
